Seems to be on the decline from a previous stay a few years ago. Upkeep seems to be patchwork vs proper repairs. No complimentary lotions or soaps anymore.
Nice but non-professional concierge, employees smoking on bench directly in front of hotel, sketchy looking guests (barefoot couple with grocery bags for luggage checking in, an old guy in pajamas & slippers midday walking up from sidewalk. (There are rehab & recovery businesses across street, which hotel can’t do anything about but does result in foot traffic around it as a result.) Not a bad location or hotel overall but isn’t where we’ll stay for more than a night again.

Set piece for a holiday inn express. Breakfast okay. Room was clean and comfortable. Not too far from centre of Wilmington, however not much in the way of food outlets locally unless you wanted fast food, to take away.

I was disappointed that that I was told I couldn’t check in before 4 pm. We saw other people present prior to us checking in. I believe the folks working that morning was rude and would consider prejudice. There were stains on the counter and floor ln the room. The mattress was lumpy, the air conditioner was very noisy (loud) I was surprised to see no bottle water for the coffee machine.

This Hotel is a great property , The rooms are spacious has nice large shower with glass doors . The bed is very comfortable
The breakfast buffet in the morning is very nice touch to have for breakfast

My daughter needed a soft landing for 1 night. She had been sleeping outside for a couple of nights. We live a few hours away. They worked with us so she could eat breakfast while they got her room ready. So we could get her checked in & taken care of for the night. AWESOME STAFF.

The front desk manager was very personable and inviting. Our room was quiet and spacious. Our bed had a smudge on the bedspread.

I stayed one night and my only complaint is that one of the shower sliding doors was missing, so water got all over the bathroom floor when I took a shower. I meant to notify the staff when I checked out but forgot. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Excellent customer service and the location was great for being close to the beaches in Wilmington. I would definitely recommend my family and friends to visit this hotel when looking for room accommodations.
