Great room. Comfy bed, clean with good hairdryer and coffee machine. Water pressure a little low. Food was excellent both dinner and breakfast.

Fantastic veggie food .. prob the best restaurant veggie meal in years. ..both the risotto (yes actually a first class risotto) and the veg stroganoff. Clearly proper chef making real fresh food. Thank you ! Service great. Setting ideal for Waddesdon Court (national trust). Nights stay slightly spoiled by HS2 lorries ! Characterful pub hotel - very definitely recommend. Highly.

The Five Arrows is a beautiful property with historic connections to Waddesdon Manor. The staff were all extremely friendly and our room overlooked the garden. We were able to leave the car the next day and walk to Waddesdon Manor.

Return visit, overnight stay to attend a funeral next morning. Checked in at 8:10pm (not a very warm welcome), only to be told the restaurant closes at 8pm. In a hotel! I asked if an exception could please be made as it was only a few minutes, and we’d been driving over 2 hours, but was told no (without even asking the kitchen) - no bar food available either. Disappointing. Also asked to complete a paper “order form” at check in for breakfast the next day. That was a first. We drove into Aylesbury to find a restaurant for dinner. 40 minute round trip. Anyone booking with the expectation of dining at 8pm or later should look elsewhere. Room was ok - clean but very small, tiny bathroom. Bed so-so, hard pillows. Breakfast - friendly service and good food. Opted to pay a breakfast “upgrade” charge for salmon and scrambled eggs, which was very nice, but when checking out no one was available to take payment. Couldn’t wait as we had a funeral to attend. Asked the barman but he wasn’t interested. Half decent for a 3* hotel. Pushing it to claim 4*. Expensive for what it is. A wonderful hotel with lots of charm in a beautiful location. The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you! The restaurant is a must with amazing food, we’ll definitely be back!

Lovely building, very clean and well presented. Room was warm and comfortable with good amenities. Restaurant is quite expensive, food quality was good, but menu is limited.

Spent a night here with a friend getting away from our families to catch up properly. We paid a very reasonable amount for bed and breakfast in a twin room and breakfast was really delicious with plenty of choice. The room had a fabulous vaulted ceiling and the beds were really comfortable. All in all a great place to stay and we would definutely return. Thank you 😊

The hotel was very nice and our room was perfectly adequate for our needs. The breakfast was very tasty. All the staff were very friendly and made us feel really welcome. Would definitely stay again.
