It was very nice i would stay again i would just make sure i have a bag of some sorts for garbage and what nots also they didnt have cups in the room so if you brought something to drink you had to get a cupwhich wasn't hard to find but just slightly inconvenient

Room very spacious for value and offered everything I needed. Comfortable bed. Modern look and furniture. Nice blackout rolling curtains. Food/bar option was OK. Very central and easy to get around if walking.

TERRIBLE HORRIBLE there was NO STAFF on duty at all in the hotel over the night. I had a late check in and there was no one to open the door or check me in. I called for 3 hours trying to reach anybody at the hotel, I called Expedia through whom I’d booked the hotel. Then was trapped in an endless cycle of AI Chatbot that could not do anything - mind you I was still parked out in front of the hotel trying desperately to get a place to sleep.at 4am in the morning.
Meanwhile guests who were also staying at this hotel could not get into the hotel, because their keys were not working and there was no one at the hotel at all who could assist them.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NOT BOOK YOUR STAY AT THIS HOTEL. My experience was abysmal.
Also, EXPEDIA was worthless, did not refund my money and would not rebook me at another property as they also kept calling the Hotel Vance and no one answered but the Expedia “policy” is that I had to check in by midnight. And they could not do anything even though the hotel had no one there to check me in and I had arrived at 11.45.
Expedia and Hotel Bance should be avoided at all costs. Do not trust your travel or money to Expedia. You also could easily be a scammed and your money not refunded and and not have a place to sleep or a seat on your flight.

I had a great stay here. Staff were friendly, place was clean and beds were comfortable. I was only here one night. The big beef that I have with this place was the overnight parking. It clearly shows $5/hour or $17 per day. When I went to leave after being there for less than 24 hours I was charged $45 USD. No signage and the attendants did not answer on two of the machines I tried. I did stop a worker who was apologetic and relayed that it was $45/night but confirmed no signs were up. I stayed here because the price but would have stayed somewhere else that didn’t have this type of parking scheme. Very disappointed with lack of signage and lack of help when pushing the attendant buttons. Not impressed at all.

Great area to enjoy shows, good food, and the art museum. The modern industrial decor is not my style, but the rooms were big and the beds were comfortable. Easy safe parking.

Great lobby and a great restaurant!
The workout area does leave a lot to be desired and the room I stayed in was not very well lit. Also as a traveler I would have appreciated more places to put my items such as toiletries and clothing. I did love the floors and the shower was great! The bed was also very comfy.

Only dings: there wasn’t a city view like the Expedia pictures, but of the neighboring building twenty feet away; the desktop was sticky no matter how much I tried to clean it.

They were very helpful at the front during check-in and recommended some good places to eat and drink. My one issue was that my room seemed a little dark. It could have used an additional light fixture or brighter lamps. Other than that I would definitely go back next time in Portland.

The room's interior decor and hallways to it wwere very mod , it was clean and quiet. The only issue was a chrome soap dish that was not installled in a good place and it REALLY hurt if you banged into it--the shower water streamed very close to it so on my 2 night stay I hit it trying to shower twice. Being a designer myself I could see that it could b easily place on back shower wall if they would try to do so. Otherwise all amenities were great (accept only having Coffeemate powder was a bummer) The breakfast had some great hot and room temp items and staff was very kind. Starbucks is right there too.

I loved the Hotel Vance and all the people who work in the hotel. I am hoping we will stay there again sometime in the future. It was perfect distance to shops and Portland State!
