Really disappointed. Have stayed a number of times in the recent past. The location is great, close to the Central City and bars and restaurants nearby however there are more things at play here. Parking is a big issue. Being able to access the driveway or backing into traffic on the busy main street another. The rooms are adequate but cold in the winter and dimly lit. Beds are passable but by no means comfortable. The rooms are clean but cobwebs and insects can be found if you look for them (or they look for you). Robin, cheerful enough on the surface cannot go for long before she raises an issue with you the customer such as "I should ring ahead" or "if I'd known xyz things would be faster at check in". Sometimes just sometimes the customer should be given a bit of respect. I wouldn't be staying if it were not for convenience and the reasonable tariff. That now I must call into question. If I were you reading this review, I would look elsewhere for better returns

We stayed a Saturday night at the motel, room was very clean and tidy. Itcwas missing the toilet roll holder but there was a note on a stool explaining this and an apolgy. There was also a note saying the Students can be very noisy through the night and ear plugs were supplied. This was certainly true. Still enjoyed our stay and the restaurant across the road was a bonus. 😀😀

Great central location walkable to CBD and hospital, lots of eating options. Room clean and cosy.

Always great staying here. Comfy beds and a great location, every the stretcher bed for the kids is super comfortable. Lovely people. We will be back.

I've been staying here for years, and the standards never slip! The property itself is quite old, but it is immaculately kept, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The parking area is a bit cramped and sloping, but not a problem for an experienced driver.

We came to Dunedin for a tour of the University, so Alexis Motor Lodge was perfect for our stay as it is very close. Also close to the shops. Although a little dated, it was very clean, totally adequate and had everything you would want. The beds were very comfortable (also had electric blankets!) and Holly on the desk was super friendly and very helpful eg booking our shuttle for us to the airport when we left. I would definitely recommend Alexis and would stay again.
