Nice and friendly staff. The room was big and in good condition with AC. The overall standard did however not feel like a 4 star hotel (more like a 3 or 2.5) and the breakfast left some room for improvement, especially the coffee. But we’re happy anyway.

The hotel is lovely and its location is great. My challenges with the hotel were all about the hidden charges. We stayed here last year and enjoyed free parking, free use of the spa facilities and bikes, etc. This year, because we had booked through Hotels.com and not via the hotels website, we we now being charged for the things we had enjoyed for free the previous year. It seemed very underhand.

Amazing location, right next to the beautiful waterfront and piazza in Riva del Garda. The beds were comfortable, but our suite was in the "attic" and we had to be careful not to hit our heads while walking around our room. That would have been ok, but the biggest problem is there was zero sound insulation between our room and the next room and hallway, so we were disturbed at all hours by other people talking. Otherwise we would have liked the hotel, but I probably won't stay there again because our sleep was disturbed.

Staff were so helpful. Hotel was very modern and clean. Spa facilities were free to use and some of the best I’ve seen. Location was perfect. Not a bad word to say about it.

This is an older but cozy hotel with pleasant service and a central location in the center of Riva del Garda. The hotel has parking in a parking garage a short walk away (+/- 5 min.). The room was nice and clean, and the breakfast good. The hotel is a good starting point for a pleasant stay in this beautiful city.

Great location. The beds were a little hard for some of our trip. Rooms were spacious enough.

Our stay at Hotel Portici was spoilt by a waiter in the breakfast room who was very rude and argumentative. Such a shame as otherwise the hotel was great.

Great location to the city!!! Lovely staff- parking is challenging- but doable! Hotel was clean and lovely breakfast! Fresh juice bar!!!

We stayed here for two nights while vacationing in the Lake Garda region. Overall this is a fantastic hotel. I would strongly recommend it to anyone staying in Riva. To start, the room we had was very large and well equipped. The bedroom was set off to the back of the room, and came with a large bed and tv. There was a also a very large living room-type area with a couch, chair and another television. The wooden beams, and angled ceilings were a nice rustic touch. The private bathroom near the door was also a good size, with very high ceilings, although it did not have a tub and the shower stall was very small.

In first, the hotel is very difficult to find. Cannot get to the hotel with the car, which we had to leave quite away in a park-meter area to walk to the hotel and ask 4 different persons where it was. Even when we got close to it, it was only written as a restaurant, not an hotel. Once we finally got checked in, we opted to get to the underground parking shared by the hotels in the same area. That was OK, but relatively pricey at 15 euros per day. The room itself was OK, clean and comfortable. WiFi was not very fast. Restaurant was not good. My wife's dinner plate was a hot dog sausage with some veggies. Very ordinary. Location is very good, right in the main square near the lake. View was very nice. Breakfast was complete, with eggs and a variety of pastries, bread, cheese and cold meats. Coffee included but from a coffee machine, not a real espresso/cappuccino.
