Easy access to the accommodation, it was easy to find. The house was very clean with all the kitchen appliances you could need. The park was very clean and not busy. Indoor and outdoor pools both excellent and booking was easy. The accommodation was spacious but dated but it did serve us well as a hub. Only thing I'd personally like to see would be a fence put around the garden area so the dog could be let out.

The lodge was lovely, clean and tidy. looked small as we arrived but was massive once inside. Location was perfect for us so Nice and quiet.

Did the job! Came to stay for a few days with the kids and grandparents as a base to visit family in Cornwall and Devon, and the whole set up worked really well for us. Well equipped and furnished, well maintained, clean. Lovely position - kids’ play area conveniently only 50yds away - with great view. A pity the heating seemed to be on a timer we couldn’t puzzle out so didn’t wake up to warm house (weather wasn’t great that week!), but adequate heat eventually when / if needed. The only facility it lacks is a washing machine, otherwise the lodge was well fitted out with all that we could need for our stay. Black out curtains would also be an improvement, as the ones they have let a lot of light through in the mornings, but we had a travel blackout blind with us for the kids anyway so it wasn’t too big an issue. Nit-picking, really, as there was little we could find fault with and it was also very reasonably priced so excellent value for money. The inside pool is very good (didn’t brave the outdoor one!), and we only used the pub once but the food was good and the kids were happy with their menu options too. Plenty to recommend, and I’m sure we’d look to come again if/when we are next visiting down that way.

We have had a lovely few days ,the view it is very relaxing from the lounge.

Very convenient property with everything we needed as a family staying for four day family Easter Break. Views were beautiful. Lovely walks. Comfortable property. Might have been a bit cramped with eight though.

Lovely spacious property with a gorgeous view. I'd seen reviews about the creaky floorboards upstairs and I have to say they were very annoying and couldn't be avoided so does need sorting. I would suggest the addition of a washing machine. As a family of 5 I had to resort to handwashing and a lot of washing to bring home! Only other thing was no WiFi which would have been handy as everything needs to be prebooked now due to Covid so having access to WiFi would have been useful. Otherwise a lovely stay, my boys particularly loved the swimming pool!

Lovely and comfortable house with all equipment needed. Beautiful area peaceful and quiet. Umbrella outside will be good for the future as most of the time has been raining. Shower downstairs didn’t worked properly. We had a great time and definitely will be back in the next summer.

We had a great time staying at Davenport Lodge. It was exactly what we were expecting, very clean and today upon arrival. We would definitely come back and recommend to all our friends.

Lovely weekend break, the holiday home was clean and well equipped. Lovely spot, great pub within walking distance, very friendly site and great value for money.

On arrival property seemed OK. Within 1 hour faults soon became apparent. Lock did not work on downstairs toilet, no towel rail or toilet roll holder in there. Dining chairs were rickety and the seat fell off one. Upstairs floorboards were a disgrace- unable to move across back bedroom floor without the whole house hearing- even the stairs creaked. Toilet seat on upstairs toilet did not fit properly. Also all the headboards were loose and banged the wall whenever one turned over. We feel that all these issues could have been addressed easily with a little TLC and this review would have been different. The kitchen worked well and we enjoyed the view. The drive in front of the property was poorly maintained which seemed at odds with the excellent quality of the site overall. Sorry. 0

Lovely little lodge overlooking the moores. Property was reasonably clean but could have benefitted from a washing machine and wifi would have been nice although not essential.

We enjoyed our stay here (4 adults and 4 children) and found it a good base from which to explore the area (mainly beaches near Looe, horse riding, Kit Hill and Tavistock) and made use of the indoor swimming pool and quiz night at the pub. The children liked the play area which was handily very close to the property, plus it was nice that the property wasn’t right next to the pub area. Slightly frustrating that the upstairs floorboards were quite so creaky, plus it would be better if there was a washing machine either in the property or on site and also WiFi (some properties had this). Julie was very attentive when we needed to get in touch with housekeeping.

Very dog friendly site and my 7yr granddaughter loved the adventure playground. The Lodge was plenty big enough for us, 5 adults, 1 child and a lively Springer spaniel. On site pub good and we made lots of use of indoor pool. Lodge clean and had everything we needed. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Great place A washing machine would have been useful and unfortunately the sauna was closed (beyond your control!) Warm and clean A rail on the step would be helpful

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and though there were 6 adults and 2 young children there was plenty of space. The property was spotless, very comfortable and very well equipped we all slept well in comfortable beds. We were visiting to attend my sons Passing out at HMS Raleigh and the property was ideally located with an easy drive to the base without having to use the Ferry. It was lovely and quiet at night and we had a nice meal in the Honicombe Manor hotel where we were made to feel very welcome.
