It's great that you can catch a bus to Galle from just outside the hotel. There are also a couple of small stores located close by fron which you can buy water and fruits at a reasonable price.
The festival that was on during our stay (22-26 July) made it very crowded and difficult to get about with my elderly mother. The noise from the loudspeakers which were blaring religious speak was hard to handle as it was constant..

Steeped in heritage, this is a real treasure for those wanting to experience something a bit special. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the main building and the beautiful gardens.

Prachtig complex, je voelt echt de historie, heerlijk zwembad, prachtige tuin, vriendelijke mensen, mooie ruime kamer met comfortabele bedden en prettige verlichting. Het is een oase van rust.
Het ontbijt vonden we matig vergeleken met andere locaties. Douche is erg donker. Massages kun je beter ergens anders doen.

The style of this hotel is beautiful! Very scenic and a great location to explore Unawatuna and it's beaches. The breakfast was great and the staff were lovely.
The spa treatments we had were so disappointing, I would not recommend the head or foot massage. My friend got the hair treatment and was told her hair was too thick and curly and the treatment did not match up to its description on the spa menu. The AC did not work in the room, just the fan.

The Hotel is beautiful, you are surrounded by greenery allover the premises. Great Pool. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Staff are polite and friendly, we had an issue with our room and were upgraded immediately to a very comfortable room. Room gets cleaned every day. Location is perfect. If you’re lucky you will get to see a family of monkeys playing around :)
Budget room is very small with no facilities and not very clean(closed and humid) but we were upgraded so we were happy…

It’s a beautifully crafted n well maintained old bungalow from the Dutch period. The staff r very friendly n courteous. Location is on the Unawatuna main road

Fabulous place staff very helpful especially the girl on reception,the estate was amazing with peacock, monkey and other wild life,pool was allso good, we loved our stay

Wonderful estate with amazing greenery. The pool was big and beautiful. The food was tasty and the staff very friendly. We enjoyed our staying very much.

Staff were very friendly and location also in a good condition and calm area. Breakfast was good in condition.
Room and bathroom was bit small, its not provide toothpaste and brushes too. And the room had bad dusty smell. Their were many mosquitoes in the room. Telephone didn't work proprlerly and when we asked they said its broken, television also didn't work and they told us after enter the room it will fix but nobody came until we exit, therefore unfortunately have to say room service is bad. Electric jug also didnt work properly, Mugs weren't clean and bath towel also should be clean than this condition.

Beautiful hotel with old architecture. The staff was friendly overall nice experience and pleasant stay.
Pool and garden not cleaned it seems like not doing maintains regular but overall place was nice
country is going through a economic crisis lately maybe thats the problem and they didn't had much bookings lately
