Tinha cheiro quando chegamos e poucas opções de frutas no café da manhã!

The hotel is conveniently located close to the attractions. The breakfast offered was fairly basic, consisting of waffles, bagels with cream cheese, and either apples or oranges. They also provided tea, coffee, and juice.

The main concern was the location, as there were many homeless individuals along the entire street next to the hotel. Some approached asking for favors, and it felt a bit sketchy, especially after sunset The rooms were a bit dated and had an unpleasant smell, with noticeable street noise. There were also some issues with the toilet and shower. However, after addressing these concerns with the staff, they were promptly resolved.

War alles sauber und gut ausgestattet.

Beim Frühstück wird unglaublich viel Müll produziert. Papptellern, Pappbecher, Plastikbesteck. Alles wird weggeschmissen. Gruselig!

I was given a room and went to the room and it was occupied. Went to the office for another room and wasn't given instructions on where it is located, and i was unable to find it. Went to get a 3rd room. Room next door was loud till 1130pm with a party. No hot water in the shower and then the breakfast Waffle batter was grey, only other option was bread/ bagel. Fruit option was only apple.

Beds were comfortable.

Unfriendly front desk. No elevators to second floor. Rooms are old. Breakfast had no protein.

El desayuno está muy bien. Es medianamente completo. La ubicación y el acceso al hotel están muy bien.

Si llegas al límite del horario del desayuno, no hay nada. Alguna partes de las instalaciones del hotel estaban sucias.

The room and facilities were very clean. Painters were working while I was there so maybe they are fixing rooms up? I chose this location for the pool, but unfortunately weather didn't cooperate. The included breakfast had toast, cereal, fruit, and a make your own waffles station. There are many restaurants nearby. About 30 minute drive up to La Jolla, 20 minutes to Balboa Park.

Walls are thin. Person above me was having a very loud cellphone conversation at 6am and woke me up. Street noise wasn't too bad, but I do wear earplugs to sleep. Be aware that there are stripclubs and "massage parlours" just down the block - so not a great neighborhood. But not overrun with homeless.

Inconcebible! Me abrieron mi habitación DOS VECES en la madrugada, exactamente 1 am! La recepcionista dió mi habitación a alguien más y sí la abrieron e intentaron entrar, pero al no poder, por que afortunadamente puse la cadena, estas personas regresaron con la recepcionista y esta persona fue a querernos sacar por que según no encontraba nuestra reserva, nos dijo que enviaría a la policía y que nos teniamos que salir a recepción a esa hora para identificarnos, lo cual no hicimos! Sumamente inseguro salir en madrugada con gente que ni conocemos. Que inseguridad y que intranquilidad que ya no dormimos solo de pensar que se iban a meter otra vez. La habitación además Sumamente sucia y con telarañas y nidos por todos lados (anexo foto) el desayuno muy básico y para el tipo de hotel la verdad bastante caro. Puedo pasar muchas cosas por alto, sin embargo, es imperdonable el que hayan abierto mi habitación, y peor aún la atención tan altanera de la recepcionista! Por eso NO LO RECOMIENDO!!!!

Be careful. I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. At night, they tried to open my room and get in. I was lucky that I heard the noise in time. Someone tried to rob me or worse……. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It is dangerous. I am attaching a photo. They knew how the lock on the door worked and knew the exact size of the wire. (I don't confirm, but maybe someone from the hotel helped them to get to me, I was alone) It's very scary. If you decide to stay here, additionally lock the door so that they do not get to you at night.

On October 31, 2023 , me and my wife arrived at Howard Johnson and was greeted by a Mexican Lady that had poor poor customer service skills also We requested Handicap parking but was Denied and no one occupied those spots also in Room 146 as soon as u walk in the door u see spider webs around the bottom area of the front door plus there was Dog hair all over the entrance of this room plus dog hair or cat hair all over a very very dirty carpet, I felt like bed bugs were bitting me the entire evening also out in the parking lot u got homeless people sitting on stair areas and stealing ice in huge garbage bags. This is the Worst, Worst Hotel I ever stayed in and I should not had to pay one cent for this dump of a room which was also close to the trash area which smelled like Human Feces, I want the CEO of Howard Johnson to give me a complete refund and other compensation for the emotional suffering and living in this un clean environment, which should be demolished, fumigated plus Health Inspection to examine this room that has insects all in the carpet and animals fleas.

Nothing, I want Relief from the Corporate office ASAP.

Motel a dir poco pessimo, camere anni 70 con moquette sporchissima, con mobili vecchi e rotti. Camera maleodorante. “ non aveva neanche la spina per caricare il cellulare sul comodino”

Location was great

The noise from other rooms the walls are paper thin and pool was a joke.

The Price was good and the location was good as well.

I didn't like the fact that the shower faucet was leaking non-stop, and i called after I had un packed all my stuff, and the maintenance person never showed up. So I called again and all they said was they could give us another room. But we didn't want to, so we decided to deal with it. My second day, I told them as well if they could send someone to fix it, and nobody ever came. So if you stay in room 129, I hope they fix it for the next person.

Great location near Highway (easy to explore San Diego) & big rooms

Overall not super clean

I liked the location of the property.

The breakfast option wasn’t the best which is usually something I look forward to when it’s an option. Outlets were loose so hard to charge your phone. Beds/pillows were not super comfortable.

Free breakfast had way too few choices Every time we entered our room there was a musty smell. Staff could not get our room safe to work but we were still charged a daily safe fee.
