Just the homeless who leave outside the Hostel, sometime you don’t feel safe

It was very close to a lot of stores, food, etc.

Not in the safest neighborhood. finding parking is difficult and I was worried it would get broken into.

The price can't be beat.

No soda machine! Seriously there could be many more amenities but, lack of a soda machine caused me to travel, during the early hours, to a pizza store that happened to be open, for a bottle of water. I was THAT thirsty.

Absolutely horrendous manager, treats everyone so bad, almost kicked me out for laughing at a joke (he actually pretended to call the police to try and scare me) constant nagging for no reason - everyone I spoke to complained about him. The area is full of druggies, getting murdered by one is maybe not so improbable, and it seems like some of them stay at the hostel. They smoke crack, heroin and meth basically outside the front door. Dingy and everything smells. Kitchen is a mess. Save yourself the headache and inconvenience and go to one of the other much better located, cleaner, safer and hospitapal hostels, there's many for around $30 - book direct for the best price!

Staff was nice and friendly, the main guy at the front desk was very nice

The location was awful and creepy. Homeless people right outside the front, couldn't park the car at the front because we were told it was most likely going to get broken into. The hostel was dirty and smells. I felt very unsafe. Had a private room for me and my partner and the room was tiny and noisy. Stayed one night and had to immediately book a different place

The manager was kind. I needed to check in earlier than agreed and he helped me.

The location is dangerous. I do not recommend this place if you are traveling alone as a woman because you can feel very unsafe. It's surrounded by many homeless people and some of them are so crazy. You don't know how they're going to act. Some people live at the hostel, so the environment is not the same. The fridge is full of food because their purchases are not for a few days, they are for months, because they live there. The kitchen is dirty and full of things, so it is not easy to cook and it is disgusting. the bathrooms smell weird.

With 24$ in a shared room it's one of the cheapest places I found to spent one night in San Francisco. Since my expectations were realistic about the price, I liked the place and people I got to know there and do recommend the value for price ratio!

the staff was great and friendly.

the guy I share the room was very racist about me being homosexual and mugging me,the whole time I stay there. I feel very uncomfortable staying anymore.

Location is convenient, not very safe though

The manager asked for a higher price and tried to persuade me that the price on the booking.com was a promotion they are not offering to everyone. When I booked through the platform in front of him, he got angry and kicked me out even though I had a paid reservation. When I called booking.com, I learned he complained about me not being respectful of the policies. I ended up going to the nearest police station, which is not close btw, to file charges based on slander and false advertisement

amazing staff, he was very helpful with my arrival.. I was new to San Francisco and wasn’t sure where to park the car so he was willing to come outside to help me out! thank you so much!!! most definitely will stay there again on my next trip!
