location was great for our purpose in town. plenty of restaurants to choose from very close by and convenient location to meijer

the rooms were dated. the furniture and floor were stained. pull out mattress had several stains on it. cobwebs on the ceiling, and we had to have housekeeping change the linen because we found several hairs on the sheets

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was nice and clean. They were very prompt when we needed extra towels. The stay was very nice, not exceptional, but nice. The rooms are priced very well. The pool was nice as well, not to cold like at other places.

I was upset that the hotel showed pictures of having a hot tub, but when we got there they did not. You could tell that there used to be a hot tub, but it was filled it and bricked over and there was a patio table set where is was supposed to be. It was the reason I booked this specific hotel.

Breakfast was unremarkable. Minimum fruit selection. Should have had cereal. Basics are best. Muffins were dried out, possibly just stale.

The carpeting in our room was very dirty overall.

We had two rooms for four nights. The location is excellent. Many restaurants were even within walking distance. The breakfasts were excellent with many choices. Housekeeping did not come into the room but anything we needed we simply went to the desk i.e., more towels, coffee, toilet paper. Rooms had a couch and two small tables. Our family members brought down their two tables and a desk chair and we played cards each night.

Usually I don't leave negative reviews, but my experience booking with this hotel was so poor, I felt like I had to. I booked a room from June 12-13th became I was in town for a family member's funeral and needed a room to stay in. After searching for a while, I chose this hotel due to the fact that I'm 18, and also because this was the cheapest hotel that allowed 18 year olds to book a room (according to the website I booked with.) Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk basically told me that what was on the website was actually false, and the required check in age was actually 21, and not 18. She told me that I wasn't able to book a room and turned me away. To make matters worse, that same lady I spoke to at the desk was unprofessional, and seemed very unapologetic. Instead of her at least apologizing or trying to have a manager make an exceptional since I had traveled all this way, she simply said "I don't know why it keeps saying that we told them it's 21 not 18." This let me know that the hotel KNEW that it said 18+ on booking.com, and did nothing provide the correct check in age. The whole situation was taken very lightly to me, thus causing me to right this review. Due to the false advertisement of this hotel, I was forced to sleep in my car. I want someone from this hotel to respond to this review, and hold themselves accountable.

Breakfast was nice and the bus transport to the university area was perfect.

I had some jewelry go missing while at the facility. I live 2.5 hours away so I was calling and working with the manager on the recovery. Katrina was my main contact and she was less than helpful. I had to call 4 times over the course of a week to get her to even return my call. She promised each time she would call and did not. Each time we spoke it was like the first time. She asked my name and room number and dates of stay. Almost like she really didn’t write it down or recall who I was. I am fearful the items were stolen out of my room. She never offered to review cameras to determine this. Also, her follow up was not appropriate. It seemed like she never even looked.

The room was exactly what we had booked (it had enough room for 4 people which was important to us) and it was clean. The location was also as described - it was in the “university area” which meant that the university was within about a ten minute drive from the hotel. The staff was nice but busy.

One problem we did have was that the toilet in our room wasn’t up to par - meaning that we were handed a plunger to fix the problem ourselves. Twice.
