The mattress was horrible. No air circulation except the small fan.

For the reasonable price, I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and well appointed my room was AND the elevated view of the hilly neighborhood from my window was a real plus. The location is perfect for a quick walk to the heart of Carmel, while also being peaceful and quiet when you return to your room. The front desk person (really wish I could remember her name!) was extremely welcoming, helpful, and genuinely friendly.

The staff were very helpful, when we arrived earlier than the check in time. One of the ladies came back and said they were working on our room. We waited for approximately 15 minutes and it was ready. The suite was perfect and it was close to the restaurant we had reservations at. Overall I would definitely go back the this hotel. The parking was extremely easy and we saw a lot of hotels while walking around and they had no parking right by their doors.

I have nothing bad to say except maybe the front room could have use a ceiling fan so it can cool off easier. We just left the door open for a few minutes and that helped. The bedroom had windows and a ceiling fan and it was prefect for sleeping.

Been staying here for nine years for two nights each summer. Fabulous inn. The only suggestion I would make is to bring back the breakfast delivered in coolers to your door in the morning otherwise a delightful place to stay each summer...
