Great location, very clean rooms, great customer service, comfortable beds. They even have free bikes to ride for a couple hours.

The staff at this hotel is excellent. We had some issues with our TV and Air Conditioning and someone came right away to fix it and Flor (the lovely concierge) brought a bottle of wine to our room for the inconvenience. The location is fantastic 2 blocks from the beach. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and our room was clean and tidy. Don't expect big rooms here but it doesn't matter if you are going to be out all day. Thanks Franciscan Inn :)

Geweldig hotel, we werden heel enthousiast ontvangen door Ben, wij hadden een kamer zonder koelkast, hadden wij zelf niet gezien tijdens boeken. Ben heeft ons een gratis upgrate gegeven, kamer met keukenblok. echt super!!! Hij heeft ons ook heel veel wegwijs gemaakt in Santa Barbara.

The hotel is a couple of blocks from the sea. Great position. Spacious suites with separate living room incorporating a modern kitchenette. Excellent shower. Good, quiet air conditioning. Free parking. Friendly reception staff and free coffee and cookies!
The room was at the end of the corridor so had no view and not much daylight, although it had good lighting to compensate.

Great size suite with comfy beds and good lounge area. Pool also nice, and great location to walk into the town!
Some decor feels a little bit dated, also not much provided in terms of crockery and utensils (there were 3 of us and only 2 plates/bowls etc). Freezer was also a bit dirty.

Worst mattress I’ve ever - truly ever - slept on. Woke up multiple times to check if the bed itself was broken because the mattress was so caved in at certain spots. Husband slept on the floor so I could sleep on the one spot in the king bed that wasn’t awful.

Everything was better than expected, walls looked fresh, the floor looked brand new, and the bathroom looked spectacular.
The pool was deep enough to enjoy a good swim and heated.
Everything was walking distance, and Ben was very helpful when I arrived late a night.

apparently they’re in some state of construction, and it’s not complete. we weren’t notified that we needed to request room cleaning (and that’s not on welcome sheet), so no made bed, fresh towels, replenished coffee, hardwood floor remained dirty. no phone in room to contact front desk, had to ask desk mgr for towels. no privacy/maid service door tag. lights aren’t adjustable and very bright. confusing TV double remote set up. no instructions on sheet.

Excellent hotel in downtown Santa Barbara. Our room was big and sparkling clean, everything new and posh. The room is well equipped with fridge, microwave, kettle, cups, glasses. It even had two TVs. The only thing to add maybe (as the ladies would appreciate it) is a full size mirror. Nice wood/tiled floors. Easy walk to the beach and to restaurants/shops. The complimentary fruit/cookies/coffee in the lobby is a bonus.

the lobby lounge was welcoming, which is good because the room is a little spartan. I needed a more comfortable place to read. Also enjoyed connecting my device to the big screen TV

The size and comfort of the whole room was excellent! I was thoroughly impressed.

Ben at the front desk was so helpful and kind. He gave me suggestions of things to see. They have local photo's on a
running on a large screen and he explained those. My room was up many stairs and he carried my bag up for me. The next day they were very courteous and helpful too. The fresh cookies are a treat as are the fresh tangerines.
It would have been hard for me to carry my bag upstairs without help. Unfortunately it rained very hard while I was there, which is not their fault.

There was an upgrade to a cottage suite, which was awesome (wish we had more time than just overnight). The amenities upon check in (coffee, the cookies and fruit) were also very much appreciated after our long drive from San Diego County. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. We are considering trying to use this as a recommended stay for our out of town staff when we have our annual holiday party in December.
We were unable to take advantage of any of the onsite facilities due to the weather (tornado warning, heavy rain and wind), but that is not the fault of the facilities. The only things we would have changed is providing a little less full pillows and the slope of the bed upstairs (felt like it sloped towards the foot of the bed).
