The staff exhibited the reality of southern charm, especially Darren. The room was attractive and comfortable. The location was excellent- a short walk to the City Market, many restaurants, and extraordinary sites to see. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Only the weather!

The staff were very hospitable.

The location was amazing! Within walking distance to all of the great shops on King Street and near many fabulous restaurants that you can also walk to, like 82 Queen and Poogan's Porch as well as several great restaurants on East Bay! Our room was perfect as well! The bathroom looks brand new and the beds were very comfortable.
The staff were also very kind and accommodating!
The only thing that we had any trouble with were the vending machines. They did not work when we were there.

The hotel is a very nice place, a 150 year old building and the location is very good.
4.1
Great location with big, comfortable rooms. Also, the Happy Hour was a nice added plus.
Parking too expensive and breakfast not what you would expect when paying that kind of money for a room. Also, the staff was not bad but could have been a little nicer.
4.1
The room was comfortable with a king four poster bed, upgraded bathroom, and veranda overlooking Charleston and the market. The staff was amazing, attending to any request.
Internet did not work well in my room. I had to go to Lobby area to have decent internet.

The Lobby was incredibly welcoming, and we loved our room.
We were happy with everything!

Small and quaint Enjoyed talking to other guests. Great location
The rug in 312 had many spills on it
4.1
Great Charleston vibe, old charm sand very central to everything around us. They offered a morning breakfast each day.
We had very low water pressure for showers, but figured it came with the older building. Wish parking was on site or closer to retrieve as needed.

No swimming pool only spa

Location couldnt have been any better. Close to alot of attractions and things we wanted to fdo.
When we arrived there were 2 vehicles taking up the only 3 spots in front of the motel so I paid extra to park in the pay lot beside the hotel so we could check in and unload our belongings.

Located in the heart of historic Charleston, it was close to museums, parks, restaurants, and shopping. The rooms were clean and quaint with extremely comfy beds. The staff was absolutely amazing. Breakfast was great and they had warm cookies and milk at night. Highly recommended!
Parking was the only issue with the property. It was either valet or self park 2 blocks away. However, I would not let it deter me from staying again!

Lovely old-fashioned colonial-style rooms. Friendly staff.
Breakfast wasn’t impressive.

Excellent location, lovely & comfortable old building, great breakfast choices. The staff was great, printed out a form I needed. Our only "issues" were pollen on our balcony chairs, and an upstairs guest loudly walking on the hardwood floor. Minor issues compared to the great stay we had. We will be back.

Location was perfect, walking distance to all sights, staff were awesome, breakfast was good, shower in the room was very big and easy to use.
The parking was a few blocks away. Made it a little time consuming to check in and out. But with the location of the hotel ther is no other alternative.

Very clean, comfortable beds, free wine and cheese every night, always has coffee or water for guests and the free breakfast every morning has something different and delicious!
Absolutely nothing!

The room was spacious with lots of character. The bathroom was up to date and clean. Very close to shopping.
Our room was not accessible from the 3rd floor. We had to carry our luggage up steps to get to our room.

The staff to a person was wonderful..
4.1
Close walking proximity to the market and public pier. Room was very large and extremely clean.
Breakfast was very minimal. AC extremely loud and the street traffic quite annoying.. Not what we were expecting for the pruce.
4.1
The location was excellent and the breakfast very good especially as complimentary.
The afternoon cheese and wine was a very nice touch and I especially liked the boutique feel of the hotel.
Absolutely nothing.

Advised the front desk that I would hold 3 rooms with my credit card when I made the reservations but have relatives use theirs for their rooms at checkout. Front desk would not do that at checkout so I will probably be charged for all 3.

upfront clarity on where to park could have been better

The location was perfect if seeing the downtown sights was your main reason for a visit. Location was steps to Meeting Street Market as well as all the great shopping on King Street. Staff was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Pretty close to what you would get at a chain hotel for continental breakfast. They even had a complimentary wine and charcuterie hour!
Our room was clean and comfy except for the fact that it felt almost damp. It was a hot weekend we were there and the AC felt like it couldn't keep up. We came to the room to cool off but felt it was almost just as humid inside the room as it was outside. It was a great, cute hotel with friendly staff, but for the price, personally, I don't think it was worth it. There is also no parking at the hotel. We were directed a few blocks away to park the car. Unless you wanted to pay for valet.

wonderful location. exceptional staff

The location was great.
I paid extra for a view of the pool/garden area and the view we had was of the laundry room. Basically had to keep our shutters closed for privacy because the laundry area was the hangout for housekeeping. The offsite parking was horrendous. 3 blocks away and still had to pay. Very inconvenient place to park.

The location was excellent, very central to most places we wanted to visit. The staff was outstanding and so helpful with offering suggestions from everything to dining options to modes of transportation. I would definitely stay here again if ever in Charleston.
I would have liked a microwave in our room, as we had leftovers that needed to be reheated.

Breakfast on the patio, welcoming staff
AC unit in bedroom was almost impossible to regulate & was very noisy. Really expensive valet parking

The location is perfect for seeing Charleston. it’s within walking distance to many sites and great restaurants. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Loved the complementary continental breakfast enjoyed on in the quaint courtyard. Also appreciated the daily wine and cheese hour.
The HVAC systems in the rooms are pretty noisy.

Excellent location.
Awesome staff!
The lack of a writing desk in the room. Bit of a tight fit with 2 double beds. Missed a tub!!

The location is great - we walked a lot - in fact that's all we did. We didn't have a car or use uber - we just walked and it was great. Employee Darren Whitaker was not only friendly wand welcoming he went out of his way to be very helpful to us. The coffee was very good and the courtyard with water tank was marvelous. Thanks for all.
The room air conditioning was a bit loud - but not a deal breaker.

Awesome
Shower was a mess . Glass wall should be wider as water all over floor after every use . Hairs on floor . Rug could use a major cleaning.
