Great location, loved the breakfast offerings. The room had so much space, especially enjoyed the privacy curtain - excellent idea!!

Not much
We needed to do some laundry, despite there being two machines, both were out of order and had been for some time. What’s the point of offering a laundry and not servicing the machines.
The room floor creaked loudly every time you walked on it.

The location
I showed up with my KIDS that I only booked the hotel for because there was a pool. Checked in and then was told the pool wasn’t working and we had TO DRIVE DOWN TGE ROAD TO SWIM AT A DIFFERENT HOTEL. I asked if I could just change my reservation and go to the other hotel and was told no. The room was dirty. There was toenail clippings in the floor and hair all over the tub

There was a lot to do around it.
I got told when we went to try and swim that I had to go to another hotel to because they were waiting on parts.
I got told the washer didn’t work. So I washed my clothes by hand to take them down to dry only to be told I had to download an app to use it to dry them. And it didn’t work either. So now all of our clothes are hanging around on everything drying hoping to be dry by morning so we have something to wear other than pjs.
When I asked for new bedding and new towels on our way out of the hotel, I was told they would give them to me so I could do it myself. I had to argue with them telling them that if I wanted to do that I wouldn’t be asking for it now. I would wait until I was coming back in tonight.
When my kids went down to buy ice cream I had to take it back because it looked melted and refrozen (they were the cones) looked disgusting. Still got charged for them and my kids threw them in the trash when they gave me “better ones” that looked bad as well.
When we first came in the shower door wasn’t working and it took forever for someone to fix it just so we could shower.

Spa was closed..was looking forward to using the jacuzzi. That was disappointing.
The shower curtain wasn't good to keep water inside of the shower and was missing the shower door..
A bad smell was in the kitchen prolly the disposal had a bad odor..
Breakfast wasn't the best. Bacon was poor quality ..asked for certain things like jelly ..nothing was available..ran out of pancake/waffle mix ..staff didn't have any more available at 8:45 a.m Not like before, food options were mediocre..
Overall I Gave a 7 only because the rooms were still made for comfort..

The staff was friendly
The whole purpose of the stay was for my granddaughters birthday to swim in the pool. The pool was closed and had to drive 6 minutes to the Hampton Inn to use theirs. Also, the elevators were broke and the toilet leaked when you sat on it.

pool has been out of order for close to a month. Customer service at check in did not meet expectations. Waited several minutes before someone came to desk. Sewer smell in bathrooms. Exit signs hanging by wires

On December 24th I booked 4 rooms for 1 night at Home2 Suites Roanoke. Our house had no electricity for more than 24 hours because of the storm and all the family were in Roanoke for Christmas. 1 hour after I made the reservation the power came back so I immediately cancelled on Booking, called the hotel and explained the situation and they said they were willing to refund us. After that day I lost count of how many times I talked to the hotel and they always say they are going to refund us but nothing happens. Booking has tried to reach the hotel with no luck. Something similar has happened to me before with Booking and other hotels but everything worked out fine, but not with Home2 Suites.

Everything the room, the employees, the restaurant and the food call me the pool and there was nothing I did not like about this restaurant. It was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone!
The first day the food was cold but I told the chef he took care of the problem and the next day the food was excellent.

Room was large and comfortable. Pool area was kept clean, and breakfast was great. The worker Charles greeted everyone every morning and made sure they were comfortable and had everything they needed with a smile. He was so pleasant.
On our last night there, September 24th, another person(s) staying had a dog that barked, howled, and whined all night. About 1 a.m. I went down and spoke to the desk lady (unknown name). Her response was "what do you want me to do about it ". My response was please find out who has the animal and ask them to keep it quiet. Not much was done and people hardly got sleep. We drove home 8 hours away lacking sleep.

The size of room and the amenities
The fact that someone got sick in the elevator and instead of closing one elevator down made up walk up 5 flights of steps without any concern of all our health’s or even asked.. just said what floor are you in we saif 5 and that was a chuckle

The location was great
Some of the bedding was dirty (hairs all over the sheets) and had to be changed out. It’s was 100 degrees in the hallway, the breakfast food was awful and we heard several other guest say the same. The food was also limited (waffle maker down, no forks, no meat, etc)

Spacious room, Excellent breakfast, Friendly Staff. Close to a shopping mall area, about 10min drive from town. Loved th eindoor pool and the fitness centre.
Waffle machine in breakfast was out of order, otherwise everything was great.

The sheets are SO soft!! And the kitchenette is an awesome addition. So is the separate sotting living area. We love this hotel brand.
Our bed for this trip was AWFUL! Lumpy, crushed, didn't sleep well, woke up on pain. Didn't have enough pillows for 4 of us (nor towels (room was prepped for 2), nor bedding for sofa). And the repeated LOUD banging metal (from the restaurant next door?) Woke us up way too early after a bad nights sleep. I need a night of good sleep, om a good mattress, to try to make up for such a rough night.

Extremely disappointed by the way the staff treated me upon my arrival. It pretty much set the tone for the rest of my trip. The room was nice but bed wasn't very comfortable.
Staff attitude and lack of customer service. Bed was uncomfortable and shower was slippery.

Everything was excellent, but I will share it in the next section! If I stay at the property again, there should be a maybe choice! Overall it was a tolerable stay, kudos to the staff!
I have never been in a hotel with such thin ceilings and walls; we heard every single footstep and some voices above us and on one side. The above people were the most annoying!

the first room was dirty. moved to another room that had a connecting room and they had the tv full blast. the people above us must have been having a bowling tournament because it sounded like the floor was going to fall in.

Check In was the worst!!
Three people behind counter working with one guest while other guests were in line. Rep. Asked for my credit card and then went to other customer. I stood there thinking it would be a few seconds, after a minute or so I cleared my throat and one of the 3. Helping the other customer acknowledged me. Poor organization and check in.

unruly kids party monopolized all areas ,pool,hot tub,unable to get breakfast roaming all over hallways and they were unsupervised and very rude and ill behaved
