Pour une nuit, l'essentiel était présent. La communication avec Pierre, l'hôte, était bonne. L'emplacement est bon aussi, à la fois proche de la gare et du centre-ville. Nous sommes arrivés vers minuit et avons pu accéder à l'appartement-chambre de manière autonome.

La porte de la salle de bain se bloque partiellement au sol, émettant un bruit gênant surtout la nuit. De plus, les photos générales de l'annonce ne correspondent pas à la chambre. Il est nécessaire de cliquer directement sur le nom de l'appartement pour voir les photos réelles (nous étions préalablement conscients de cette particularité, sans surprise).

Great position, immediately out of the city center and close to a big parking (mind the height limit, street parking is available in any case). The house is huge and tastefully furnished, with a great style and the first impression is definitely "wow". The host was not present but left very clear instructions for the check in. Incredible value for the money, we regretted staying one night only and spending much more on other structures in Alsace.

After the initial "wow" you might start noticing that not everything is as perfect as it seems looking in the details (e.g. a lamp not working, sofa a bit worn out... Minor things). No elevator (but this is clearly mentioned so you have been warned) and no air conditioning (did not feel it was necessary)

The location

The studio was not clean The “fully equipped” kitchen has no stove neither oven. There is only a small movable (one spot) stove, meaning that you cannot make any particular food except boiling water for pasta. The parking is not inside the apartment not just next to it. One has to move all the stuff and luggages several hundred meters. There is also no elevtor.

The location was perfect, right next to the old town and a lot of bakeries and restaurants as well as very close to the train station. Very comfortable as well.

There was no filter for the coffee machine so we couldn’t use it.

Not very soundproof

We stayed with my family for a night before Christmas. The communication with the owner was very good. He replied all my messages. The apartment is located in a very central area and the parking is very close by so that was great. We didn't have to use our cat any more. They are accepting also dogs such was crucial to us because we couldn't leave our dog back home. Overall the apartment is very confortable.

Nevertheless they could be a little more careful with the cleaning. The linen of the house seemed old. A part from that I would recommend it for a stay with family and friends.

great location would love to stay again over the Christmas holidays. there seemed to be a communication issue with family staying in the other apartment. I helped out as much as I could due to language barrier.

I found a hair in the bed. I am a super clean freak so that upset me a great deal. I had to stripe back the entire bed to inspect if the linens were clean. I spoke with the host about it on the phone. He assured me they were clean linens. Only then could I relax about it.

It was well equipped, though not enough room to make use everything available. It felt a little cramped. I keep forgetting to ask about access and stairs, didn’t find it too easy up and down, my problem.

The location was fantastic, the bed was very comfortable, the host was very responsive and easy to work with. Once you get over the disappointment of the dark and dingy lobby, and the frustration of carrying suitcases up two full flights of stairs, the unit itself is "fine". It was a fairly easy walk from the train station, adjacent to a lovely park, and very close to the beautiful old section of the city.

We weren't expecting two full flights of stairs to the unit because in North America we consider the ground floor to be the "1st floor", and the next level to be the "2nd floor". This unit is on the 2nd floor, and in Europe that means two levels up (we'd call that 3rd floor). I am recovering from an injury, and we wouldn't have booked this unit had we understood the difference, and the number of steps involved. The unit was small, particularly the bathroom area, very hot because we weren't crazy about leaving the windows wide open without any screens.
