Made to feel very welcome on arrival.All rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. Breakfast is beautifully cooked from local produce. Nothing is too much trouble for the super friendly hosts.

Great value. Great location. Breakfast was spot on. The lace was very clean and Tony who runs it couldn't be any more friendly and welcoming. Also very helpful as just before we left he let us check out the other rooms that were empty. Would definitely give it 10 out of 10 and would recommend. We will definitely be back again.

The only fault was we couldn't stay longer as 2 days later we were going to Lanzarote. Can't wait to stay there again.

an excellant location , 2 minutes from the promenade , with parking outside. A wonderful breakfast,, personalised to my specific taste, served by Tony , a perfect start to the day. Tony was an outstanding host, very friendly ,welcoming and on hand for anything that I needed. ....nothing was too much trouble ! I will certainly recommend the hotel to my friends and will visit again myself.

First time stays here but definitely won't be the last, warm & friendly owner who cooked a lovely breakfast and keeps a very nice house, as well as having time to talk to you about the history of the property, the area.

There wasn't any thing not to like, the rooms we had could have been bigger but that's only because they were smaller than ours at home so felt a little claustrophobic.

Individually styled property with lots of detail, all clean and well kept. The cooked breakfasts were good and fresh, you chose from a list the night before, unfortunately one morning my bacon was cold.

The en-suite shower room was absolutely tiny. Just a converted cupboard really.

The breakfast was superb and set you up for the day. The location is excellent, being only a short walk from the main street. The information received by the hotel was very good, regarding eating places and locations nearby.

Only thing I was concerned about was the parking at the hotel. It only afforded 4 possibly 5 cars on the front of the building and the cars had to parked very close to each other. The car keys have to be left in the room so that if your car is required to be moved for some reason the proprietor can move it. There was apparently parking across the street but I wasn't offered this.

The Ambassador Townhouse is immaculately clean and very well decorated and furnished. The spacious bedroom had anything that could be required and was very comfortable. The breakfast was good quality and quantity, with nothing too much trouble, including a late dietary request I had forgotten to mention. Tony is a great host and gave us tips on interesting venues for dinner and the trains to Liverpool.

The only possible improvement would be if the seagulls of Southport could be trained not to squawk until after breakfast..

I would have liked the basin to be in the bathroom rather than the bedroom. I also had not realised the room would not have been cleaned during our two night stay due to covid.

Location brilliant within easy reach of everywhere we needed to go. Tony was a really nice bloke, very helpful. Food was nice, freshly cooked and hot. Room was spotlessly clean along with the massive soft towels.

To have had a small fridge in the room would have been good.

The breakfast was was first class one of the most choices I have ever seen in a bed and breakfast, and the host Tony went out of his way to make it the best experience you could wish for, will be staying again and telling my friends and colleags about.
