Lovely house and pretty garden. Very comfortable room with everything we needed. Good shower. Breakfast was delicious and catered well for our gluten free diet. Easy walk to beach, Chine and high street. House had a lovely atmosphere and Gilly was a good host. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect for what we wanted. Hosts were very helpful, gave lots of tips and advice. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Gilly was extremely friendly, polite & accommodating. She was always happy to help & went above & beyond to keep everyone happy. She was always smiling 🙂

Nothing to do with the hotel, but the weather! ferocious winds, but it didn't really spoil our stay.

There was a lovely from comfortable room. A very nice vegetarian breakfast was provided. The Manageress was very helpful about taxis, which take some arranging on the Isle.

Breakfast was great, loads of choice. Our room was really comfy and the owners really welcoming. The gardens are beautiful as is the communal lounge. As well as including breakfast, there is complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits in the afternoon, just help yourself. The location is great with plenty of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. If we return to the IoW we will definitely go back here.

There is limited parking which can be difficult to get into if you have a big car. That being said, we did manage to park every night. The owners are open to double parking as long as you are willing to move the car if necessary.

Friendliness, pleasant house and garden, quiet light-filled room with lovely view of woods.

Room was a little small and the shower was a walk-into the bath type (we booked the most economical room, ie 'standard' so that was fair at the price)

Bedford Lodge is a wonderful house in an awesome location. Gilly was a fantastic host and I would recommend staying here when in the Isle of Wight

Staff are extremely friendly and can't do enough for you. Rooms are recently decorated to a very high standard and extremely clean! Right in the village, but a short walk from the beach.

Room was a little small but was ok

Great B&B in the centre of Shanklin. Perfect position for exploring both Shanklin and the rest of the island. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and so much choice for breakfast. A great touch to have afternoon tea and biscuits available in the lounge in the afternoon and a bar with an honesty box so that you can help yourself to a drink in the evening. Very warm comfortable atmosphere and lovely hosts.

Very friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble - especial thanks to Gilly. Excellent breakfasts and service. Superb location with secluded gardens although only a few hundred yards to the Shanklin itself and the Chine Our room was very welcoming, clean and with everything we needed We left the Bedford after our 4 night stay wishing we had booked our entire 9 day visit to the IOW there.

As told by the Bedford before we booked. The Bedford had its own parking on site but the nature of the site meant that, at times, it could be challenging - none the less we always got a space. I accept that there is little that the Bedford could do to improve this.

This trip was booked on behalf of my parents for their 50th anniversary. They loved it! Beautiful premises, and wonderful location, with helpful staff.

No negatives at all!
