Great Location and the house itself is beautiful.

When we arrived at 3.30pm ,the house was still not done. They were still cleaning, so we had to wait. All the glasses bar 5 were broken and only replaced once we asked. We had to ask that the sheets be removed from where they were hanging on a balcony. Disappointed that it only had 2 x sunlounges, when the house sleeps 10. The sun mattresses were old and tatty. Light in main bedroom bathroom didn't work. There were 2 x small rechargeable lights for the entire house and they didnt work properly. Lasted maybe half an hour. The mats in the bathrooms definitely need to be changed. They were tatty as well. Maintenance needs to be done in the kitchen. The skirting were old, paint coming off them. We were supposed to have daily cleaning. On the 2nd day, the cleaner was busy washing sheets and covers, nothing to do with us and eventually came through to ask if we wanted her to clean. By that time we had already done it. The next day, they were a no show. The house itself is stunning, but incredibly let down by the things above.

Lovely spacious house, bedrooms were good size & all en-suite. The gardens were well kept. Good value for money. Laundry service available which is very handy when travelling. We throughly enjoyed our stay . After hotel / guest rooms nice to have so much space. Would stay again.

The kitchen is in need of renovation. We could not use the pool or jacuzzi as they were not clean. The house sleeps 10 people but there would not be enough cups / glasses etc if you had that many people. There are only 2 Sun loungers & no other outside furniture which is a real shame as the grounds are so lovely. A sofa & dining table would be great. Owner did say he would source some more Sun loungers but was unable to find any. There is an emphasis on being quiet because of the neighbours which is entirely understandable- somewhat ironic though when the neighbours dogs bark incessantly! No hot water during load shedding.

The house was perfect and very clean. The host was exceptionally friendly. The entertainment facilities were awesome. We had a wonderful time there but unfortunately, the stay was too short. We will definitely book Strode House again on our next visit to Knysna.

Fabulous views from this big airy light house with a lovely pool and hot tub. Easy parking. A really fun open plan layout with a pool table. White styling with artworks showing beautiful wild animal photographs plus film stars.

In July it was cold and we arrived to the windows wide open, no heating and thin duvets. The owner says that he has now bought a mobile gas heater and bought thick duvets for the 2 main rooms. Some of the house e.g.kitchen units need a coat of paint. There are warnings about not making too much noise, a decibel meter, quiet hours and closure of the hot tub and pool in the evening. Take an eyemask as the white blinds aren't light proof.

This is one of the best vacations homes we have ever been in. The house itself is very very spacious, very well equipped(including a pool, a hot tub, a full sized pool table and darts ). The check in was very easy. The rooms are very big, great beds and the bathrooms are awesome. In addition, the host did his very best to help. Starting with great recommendation on local stores, cafe's and supermarkets, and help with everything we asked. I highly recommend this house. Superb value for money.

as all SA holiday houses it is freezing in winter, but there is a fireplace and a walk heater down stairs….no heaters upstairs but most beds have electric blankets which is nice if Eskom plays along…

Does need a bit of maintenance but we still loved it and it was great value for money.

I absolutely loved everything about this property it was an actual dream being here I didn’t want to leave, it’s beautiful even better than the pictures no words can explain how beautiful this property is, just being there was enough.

The house is stunning and spacious and has everything you need. So clean. Amazing views. We had a great stay. The welcome chocolate was a sweet gesture and we loved it.
