Our annual visit to KW was fantastic and staying at the Nautical Wheeler really topped things off. The pictures and description don't quite do it justice. A very nice home. Everything you would want on a Key West vacation spot. Stayed here for a fishing trip. Very comfortable beds, spacious living area, could see the sunset, nice kitchen to cook up our fish. Host communicated very well. We arrived 45 minutes early and they let us in with a simple phone call. Has a grill.
Pool was perfect size to get wet and cool off in the evening. Definitely would stay here again.

Our Family stayed at the Nautical Wheeler for a week in April. We had a fabulous time! The house was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the large kitchen, dining and living space. The bedrooms were well appointed and all 8 of us had comfortable beds. The wrap around decks gave us a lot of extra room and gorgeous views. We all enjoyed the pool area. It is located in a quiet area, but near resorts and shopping. The one thing to remember is that there are steps into the house and up to the bedrooms. Nautical Wheeler has it all!

Overall we liked the home a lot. A few small things we felt need to be addressed: 1. The shower floor in the master suite was very slippery. Some sort of traction strips need to be installed. 2. The main floor bedroom windows need blinds or curtains to block out street lights at night. 3. The main floor bedroom sliding pocket doors need lubrication as they were difficult to close and made a loud screeching noise when closing.

We planned this vacation home for my sons wedding. It was spacious and very clean. Had all amenities. The pool was one of the favorite spots to hang out. The house had some normal ‘wear and tear’ but everything worked. We were about 2 miles from Duval. Used golf carts, bikes and Uber with easy access. Highly recommend for large families with little children.Thank you for your hospitality.

The house was in a perfect location and had plenty of room for everyone. We had a small ant problem which was taken care of within an hour. The house was clean and the pool was perfect. Could have used some more towel hooks in bathrooms and some of the carpets were stained but overall beautiful. Would definitely go back

Went there to attend my nieces wedding. Initially a small problem with ants in the bathroom tub but once I was reminded that we were in South Florida I quickly got over it and moved on to all of the good possibilities the weekend would hold for us at this property. The house was perfectly located across from the grocery store. We enjoyed the pool as a family and a evening of playing games while the men watched football. The view from the second floor balcony as the sun is setting was gorgeous. Thanks again I'll definitely recommend this property to friends and family.

There are a few things that could use some attention :
In guest bedroom the drawers would not stay closed in the bureau. Not enough hangers. The bed was devine. Ants in our bathroom. Spindle on deck is detached on bottom, no wheels on bottom dishwashing deck. Teri and I saw pool cleaners. They skimmed a little on top and threw in a cup of salt and left. They might want to know what they are paying for. Shower head in our shower sprays all over. Plenty of conditioner, shampoo and body wash. That's fabulous. Plenty of towels, that's great! Missing a chair at dining room table. Garage doors need serving as they sound like they are about to come out of their tracks. Beautiful home. Lots of cosmetic stuff. It's hard to own a Vrbo

We waited a bit late to plan a late summer vacation so we were happy to find a few nice, quiet and spacious homes available through Key West Vacation Homes. We selected Nautical Wheeler because the images imply it's on the end of the row and would offer a more expansive view on two sides of the house. Unfortunately, it is still in the middle of a row of several homes and doesn't offer any additional view. We've rented several "vacation homes" and this one was simply missing the personal touches from being owned and lived in. It really just felt like a spacious hotel room. Aside from not having a single spice, such as salt & pepper, olive oil, etc (which was expected from other reviews), there were no oven mitts or tea towels so when using the oven I had to run to the bathroom for hand towels. Also, in an ocean town like Key West there was nothing to crack crab. Some nice things to consider adding would be blankets, coasters, a pad of paper, and a pen. The bed linens and bath towels are light hotel quality. I was thankful to have brought my own shampoo & conditioner as I couldn't get a comb through my hair with the products provided. The jacuzzi bathtub had such low water pressure it took 20 minutes to fill and then once it filled it was not operational. The night we arrived I gashed my foot on the exposed carpet tacks from the ripped carpet on not one but two doorways to the master bath and closet. I was thankful the property management was very responsive to send a repairman out the next day to fix this and an inaccessible exterior door. We enjoyed our stay and would simply suggest adding a few personal touches to make it a little more comfortable.

Nautical Wheeler, which is the name of this vacation home, is a wonderful vacation property for Key West. We vacation in the keys every few years and this home has a lot of nice amenities. First, it is located on the west side of the island so you get phenomenal sunsets. No need to go to Mallory Square with crowds and poor parking. Just sit back on either the 1st or second story deck of this house and enjoy nature’s show in your own backyard. We also loved having a small pool to cool off each evening. There was also access to the bay by way of several openings in the shoreline vegetation for kayaks making for nice paddle adventures, fishing or snorkeling. There is also a dock available for boats/night fishing.The house itself is well appropriated with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, plenty of linens, soap/shampoo, pool towels, TVs, washer/dryer, and well stocked with appliances/dishes, grill and even “Alexa” for music. There is a two car garage, deck furniture, and even 2 single kayaks for use. The home is located in a private neighborhood and has easy access to grocery stores, golf cart rentals, and fast food options.There are a few items to note (depending upon your priorities). You will not be close to old key west and will have 10 minute drive to shops, bars, and Key West attractions. Traffic can be a little tricky, especially when it comes to parking, which will cost you $5/hour. PERFECT 50th birthday celebration
We had the best stay Nautical Wheeler for my 50th birthday celebration 1/27/2022-1/31/2022! The house and property are exactly as described. Perfect size for our party of 8. Very clean and well stocked. All the beds were super comfortable and the master bath shower was a dream! Everyone in our party showered there at least once...Separately. :) The only complaint is that the weather was unseasonably cool, and the pool heater did not work. The property manager responded promptly to our reports that it wasn't working, but unfortunately wasn't able to get it repaired in time for us to enjoy the pool. We didn't let that affect the amazing time we had though. Getting a taxi/uber at any time of day was super fast. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a ride. We also rented scooters for two days of our stay, which was a really fun way to get around town! I would recommend Nautical Wheeler for anyone looking for accommodations for a larger group!
