The evening meal and staff were excellent The room clean and comfortable Only major down part was breakfast upstairs Carpets and trip hazards Food was cold and not as good as previous visits where it was served at the table

First time staying since refurb great job, big rooms good fixings. Will use again

comfortable room, lovely bathroom, good sized tv and everything you may need in room

walls are very thin, could hear everything from the room next door to people going to and from their rooms. no staff on reception for check in, when we alerted a staff member from the bar it still took a while for them to come. we were staying for an event in the function room so this cut time off for us to get settled and ready. when we got to the function room the bar was not set up, they had nothing stocked in fridges, didnt have a card machine and the attitude of bar lady was terrible! I completely understand coming in to find nothing had been set up for her but she didn’t need to take her frustration out on customers. also drink prices seemed to change everytime we went to the bar, ordering the same several times and it would range from £13.00 to £16.00. very strange!

Friendly staff, room was clean

Breakfast was a little confusing, we were only people at breakfast, there was no choices offered, apart from tea or coffee, staff brought out two cooked breakfasts, because my partner isn't a big eater a lot of this went to waste

the properly was lovely bar area etc very nice

the what seemed to be the manager had a shocking attitude especially after leaving us 20/30 mins at check in desk no apologies wouldn’t come back for that everything seemed an effort and money was his main objective

Room was really nice and also very clean we ate at the restaurant which was busy but you could understand why as the food was excellent ,the staff throughout the hotel and the restaurant were very attentive to the customer even though it was very busy .

The reception at the hotel was manned by one of the waiters so was stretched between the hotel side and the restaurant .

I have stayed at this hotel over 30 times, normally a get a great room as shown in their pictures, this time a got a room that just was not big enough, bathroom was clean and modern, but the room was not big enough

The size of my room, struggled to walk round the bed.

The food at Alba Restuarant was good .

There were sounds of footsteps from the floor above which was very disturbing at night .The extra pillows did not have fresh linen , . it was used pillow covers turned inside out .

Helpful staff nice rooms

The only positive was the restaurant staff gave me a plug to charge my laptop

The receptionist advised there was usb ports in the room, after checking...there was none, spoke to her again and asked her why she said there was and she just said you can buy a plug from the garage. There is 2 plugs on the wall which isn’t ideal if your wanting to work from your bed. The hallway was very noisy constant banging and at 6am the binmen were directly outside my room.
