The unique environment setup was one of my favorite aspects of the experience. It truly felt like a home away from home, and I appreciated all of the thoughtful touches that the hosts had put into the space

Such a well finished and equipped space to stay in for a few days, everything you need. Great location for a nice walk to the CBD. Really lovely garden.

The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruits, juices, Yoghurts,cereals, and breads. Plenty of milk & butter. Walking tracks close by and the town was only an 8min drive away with plenty of restaurants to go to. The hosts were very friendly and the property had lovely gardens

What a beautifully decorated comfortable accomodation, and a lovely peaceful garden.

Just fabulous! Shane and Mel have created a little bit of paradise. Beautiful setting in the garden of their home with its own access. The accommodation is beautifully presented with lots of extra touches to make you feel at home. The breakfast was great and very generous. Their garden is amazing and we were invited to look around and use if we wanted. Sadly the weather wasn’t good enough during our stay.

Breakfast was good, the size of the room was very specious. Good kitchen, everything was very comfortable and extremely clean, with great attention for the small details. Mel and Shane were great.

We liked everything about the property - the apartment, the breakfast and especially the garden. The steps to the deck were a highlight - in the sun and in the evening with the lights. Sublime.

Beautiful gardens, comfortable and modern accomodation and getting to use the bikes was a bonus! Great breakfast options too.

Our stay and Sequoia Steps was amazing. Mel and Shane were perfect hosts and our every need was accommodated for. The B n B is well considered and catered for and the breakfast provisions are generous and delicious. The setting is gorgeous and Mel and Shane's passion for gardening is obvious. The setting is so serene where your morning alarm is the birdsong. Its a great endorsement when the wild life love it here. We are not over exaggerating how nice this place is to stay. Thank you again.

The breakfast was excellent and very generous. The furnishings were beautiful and relaxing.

The movement from upstairs could be heard in the bedroom which woke us up around 6.00ish in the morning. Maybe a seat outside to enjoy the garden.

A warm welcome from Mel and Shane who showed us both to our room and the amazing gardens. Our bed was super comfy and the location is far enough away from traffic to only hear birdsongs. The kitchen was well appointed and there was a great choice of breakfast items. Everything is modern, new, immaculately clean and comfortable. We walked to and from the Bowl of Brooklands and this would be our number one choice for any future stays in New Plymouth.

A wonderfully relaxing beautifully landscaped property. Immaculate and lots of extras. We will be back.

Location - amazing, a real bonus to be able to walk and cycle (bikes supplied with thanks!) into the CBD via the Te Henui walkway the entrance is just a couple of minutes walk/cycle from Sequoia Steps. Hosts - Shane and Mel always go the extra mile and have thought of everything and provided it. The room etc was spotless, tasteful, and set in a beautiful and serene garden.
