The craftsmanship and tasteful decoration of this house put us completely at ease. One enjoyable aspect was sitting inside and watching the variety of birds who came to feast at the bird feeder hanging above the patio.

If you enjoy taking pictures of nature this is the place for you! Not only was it beautiful the house was extremely homey!

Four friends reuniting after many years enjoyed watching the lovely bird friends visit, using the kitchen and having a clean, comfortable base to visit Taliesen, Spring Green Art Fair and the American Players Theater.

We loved the house and property. Its lovely, well taken care of, and beautifully decorated. The bed (we only used one) was very comfy. I love the area. We explored local nature areas and went to a small farmers market for eggs and sweets in Spring Green. There we also bought homemade insect repellent that worked well. Bring lots of bug spray if you’re coming.

Absolutely loved my time here. It was about a 20 minute drive to get anywhere, and the scenic country side made the drive worth it. Looking forward to staying here again next summer.

We are from the Twin Cities area and usually take a long weekend up to the North Shore. After taking that trip so many times we decided to venture a different direction- Wisconsin. We have always known who Frank Lloyd Wright was, but this was an opportunity to visit his estate and home area. This property allowed great access to a variety things within driving distance and a great sanctuary. Felt like home. We will be telling others about this gem! Thank you.

Our third visit to this serene place did not disappoint. Lounged on the beautiful deck in the treetops, played fetch with our pup on the lawn, woke to a chorus of birdsong and enjoyed the sounds of frogs in the pond at nice. Rejuvenating and peaceful spot, always. We love it here.

This house is exactly the type of place my husband and I have been looking for to vacation. It was spotless, had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay, sits on a beautiful and remote property, has an incredible deck, and is dog-friendly (which we really appreciated for being able to vacation with our senior, deaf rescue dog). Phyllis (the host) is also amazingly responsive. Staying here also reminded me so much of the vibes of staying at my grandparents' home in Laguna Beach while growing up. We look forward to returning again! Thank you, Phyllis, for sharing this fabulous place with others.

Quiet, peaceful retreat that feels miles away from nowhere... wildlife, a freshly-refilled bird feeder, and a beautiful forest make it feel more like Colorado or West Virginia than Wisconsin. The interior was understated and so, so comfortable... plenty of room for a family of 4 to spread out, all beds are quite comfortable and the climate is easy to tune to your liking with plentiful screens in the windows and a great HVAC system. You can enjoy the convenience of 'modern-day relaxation' with great Wifi and TV options, or meander around the property and nearby roads for quiet walks punctuated only by the sound of birds and wind in the trees. Yes, the property has the character that comes with age and being well-loved by several generations of family and friends. Some would consider this a negative, but the overwhelming spirit of relaxation and and calm that settles over the place dispels that immediately. It is quite clean, pleasant, has all the kitchen/grill/meal utensils you might need, and feels like you've been invited to a friend's getaway house for the weekend. Our family of 4+dog enjoyed our stay immensely. Highly recommended!

This was our third stay here and it never disappoints. This is the perfect place to escape into a serene and beautiful location. We love this cabin more each time we visit and can’t wait to return.

Wonderful setting in the woods, privacy was fabulous. Treehouse setting with large deck and lots of birds and squirrels. Fully equipped kitchen, warm wood stove, and comfy furniture and beds were a delightful. Access to other amenities was easy and walking back roadways invigorating. We definitely plan to come back in the future.

We had the most relaxing and peaceful time! Phyllis was accommodating and her home had a welcoming atmosphere. It was so scenic and comfortable and cozy. We had plans to do more hiking but wound up opting for shorter hikes so we could spend more time at the cabin because we enjoyed it so much. We brought our own food and I was thankful that she had everything we needed for cooking all of what we brought. I truly wanted for nothing. It was an ideal weekend! Wish we could have stayed longer!

My wife and I could’ve stayed here for a week or more. It couldn’t have been more peaceful or comfortable. We cannot wait to return. The host was very responsive.

Highly recommend!!! The deck lights were on when we arrived and welcomed us wamly! Every detail was perfect! Phyillis has a stunning, secluded, cozy, comfortable, well equipped home. We wanted to get away from the "world" to have a more Christ-filled Christmas this year and we DID!! Breathtaking nature surrounded us, evidencing God's creation. The silence was healing. We felt right at home and hope to return to experience it in another season.

When we arrived, the door was not completely shut so we didn't need the lock box to get in. However we did use the key after that and it was easy to figure out the lock box. We loved our stay in every way. The place is exactly how it is described. Plenty of wood for the fantastic wood stove!!! Easy access to bedrooms and bathrooms. Really a charm! Thank you to Phyllis, the host, for being so available by text and phone and being so accommodating. We will be back!!

My husband, 3-year-old daughter, and I booked a very last minute getaway to this one-of-a-kind rental. As soon as we walked in, my daughter exclaimed, "Ok, this place is AMAZING!" and she celebrated her first ever cabin trip with joy and awe, the whole time we were there. The home has been in the owner's family since its original construction in the 70s, bathrooms and decor renovated since Covid...honestly, the story of how special this place has been to so many guests immediately endears you to it, and you can feel the generational heart and soul while you're there. A bird-feeder just outside draws woodpeckers, fun-loving squirrels, and a plethora of birds to the porch, where they can safely be observed through the floor-to-ceiling windows. It's so clean. It's so beautiful. The beds are comfortable. This would be an IDEAL rental for two couples sharing the place for a trip away, because there are two bedrooms with the respective bathrooms en suite, on either side of the shared main space. The fireplace is unique. The architecture is expertly designed. Oh! And there is not a single thing we thought we might need that we didn't immediately and easily find, and then some! We loved everything about it. Will definitely come back. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Phyllis' property is exactly as described. The deck is incredibly spacious - we spent most of our time there admiring the woodsy landscape (and squirrels & birds!). The bedrooms and living area are impressively clean and well-equipped for a group of 4. We had a cozy, relaxing weekend and can't wait to return!

Not only is the home beautiful, but the surrounding woods and rolling hills of this remote location are also stunning. Just loved being surrounded by nature. We enjoyed visiting House on the Rock and Spring Green. Also enjoyed peaceful walks with our dog.

We love staying in this beautiful home, the area is lovely for walking and we enjoy the birds who flock to the feeder. The kitchen is kitted out well for cooking as well.
