The view from this villa is stunning! Communication from owner was great!

My family and I stayed for four nights. It was a wonderful and refreshing coastal break after spending nearly a week in Rome and Florence. The pictures posted on the site don’t do justice to the amazing view. The first floor was much bigger than I anticipated. Beds were comfortable. Our host was friendly, helpful, and very easy to communicate with. And Vernazza is such a fun town! Swimming and snorkeling in the bay was fun with lots of tropical fish and octopus to watch. Easy to hop on the train to visit the other towns of Cinques Terres. The hiking trail to Monterosso also goes right by the entry to this property.

Amazing location and views from this beautiful house on the cliff overlooking the harbor in Vernazza. We honestly had the best view in town! The home was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed for our family of 5. It was wonderful to pop out for breakfast and come back and have it on the balcony nook. I would recommend taking the train into Vernazza and not driving however which was a bit stressful. Looking forward to returning!

The house is perfectly situated where you can quietly relax looking out at the ocean views. A short walk downstairs and you are in the heart of the hustle and bustle of tourists, shops and eateries. Access to the beach and swim off the rocks are very close as well. The train to access all the towns is a short walk away as is the marina to schedule a boat tour. Hiking trails start at the entrance of the house for hiking to Monterosso which takes about two hours by trail. The train and church bells are loud at night and morning but it adds to the experience. Luca is a great host who is easy to access if needed.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is super clean and comfortable. The location overlooking the harbor keeps you above all the day time hustle and bustle but still close to everything. Outdoor seating was comfortable and fun in the evening. Highly recommend hiring assistance with your luggage from the train station unless you pack light or are really fit. Luca was kind enough to arrange some help for our bags.

Property was as described. Great views! Attentive host and excellent cleaning staff! Would use again for a visit to Cinque Terre! (Be prepared to climb a lot of steep steps!!)

This was our second stay at Luca’s lovely villa. The first time was at Christmas and the second time for Spring Break. The villa is absolutely stunning, well furnished, has thoughtful and artistic touches throughout. Luca is an artist and that is evident in the style of his home. The kitchen is well equipped and set up for cooking and preparing meals. There is also a dining room for a large family of 6-7 to sit and eat breakfast. The villa sits directly on the beginning of the trail from Vernazza to Monterosso and is just a short walk down to the most beautiful town of all the 5 villages, Vernazza. We loved waking up with coffee each morning on the balcony overlooking the sea. The views are magical! The setting is like you are living in a movie. We will definitely return again. Thank you for another amazing family vacation!

Great place to stay but be prepared for some steep stairs.

All the prior 5-star ratings and comments are absolutely true!!! The villa and views were spectacular. Luca and Emanuela were very gracious hosts and very quick to respond to any questions that we had during our stay. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer - but we hope to return again in the future!

We arrived in Rome the day before our check in here and took the train to Vernazza. The trip was roughly 4 hours long with one transfer… buy your tickets early and get a first class seat! Arriving in Vernazza, we were struck by how convenient the town is. The train station sits up the street at one end of town. Walk toward the sea and end up at what we were calling the town square. The street is lined with so many wonderful restaurants and shops… we could have stayed much longer than a week and still not tasted everything. The gelato was plentiful and delicious! There are a couple little stores where we bought cheeses, meat, bread, wine, and pastries to take back to the home for lunches and nibbles. The town is laid back with a very energetic vibe. Loads of tourists during the day who disappear with the last train in the evenings. The HOUSE though! I travelled with my sister and four of our older teenager kids. The beds are comfy (each bedroom having an A/C unit that worked very well) and spacious. Two comfortable bathrooms on the bedroom level. Downstairs is the dining/living room area with a tiny, perfect kitchen. The view out the three sets of gorgeous double doors can’t be described and photos won’t do it justice. You have to see it. The stairs up to the home are challenging if you aren’t active, but definitely doable… just rest intermittently. The hiking path is literally right outside of the house gate. We did the 3.6km hike to Monterosso in about 2 hours. Take lots of water. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and some shopping and then some of us took the train back to Vernazza while a couple of us hiked the trail back. It took about an hour to return. The swimming down by the rocks is amazing… the water refreshing but not too cold. We bought floaties and goggles at one of the stores and loved jumping off the low cliffs. I’d love to return and would highly recommend this property! Luca and Emanuela are lovely, responsive, and very helpful. We’d run out of coffee pods on our last day and I inquired about where to go to buy some more… there is no place in town so Luca made a special delivery of pods despite our protests that we could just get coffee in town. We are so grateful for the week that we had in Vernazza

It would be hard to accept there is a better location in Cinque Terre. Spent 3 nights here with our kids while traveling through Italy for over 3 weeks. From 5 star hotels to other luxury homes. This was the favorite by a landslide across the board. The walk to/from the house from the village each day was a pinch me moment every time. The graciousness and easy communication with the hosts along the way was the icing on the cake! We already cannot wait to return. Thank you!

We had the pleasure of staying for 6 wonderful nights at Luca’s Il Conventino and it was a week we will remember forever. We started planning our Italy trip in July 2019 for summer 2020, but had to reschedule twice due to the pandemic. We are so grateful to Luca for being flexible and understanding in accommodating us with these changes. It was a long wait to finally visit Cinque Terre, but it was worth it. We could not have imagined a better place to stay than this villa. The location is prime, the views are unparalleled, and the proximity to everything you could possibly want to do is literally no more than a few minutes away. Hiking the trails, taking a sunset boat tour, catching the train to other towns, snapping photos of the incredible landscape, shopping for souvenirs or necessities for dinner, swimming in the sea, eating at great restaurants, or grabbing a cappuccino in the morning or a gelato in the afternoon. The villa itself is wonderful. It is beautifully decorated while still being comfortable and welcoming. It has a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of seating inside and outside, and comfortable bedrooms with the most amazing views of Vernazza’s harbor. Luca was an amazing host and welcomed us to his villa with warmth and enthusiasm, showed us around, and offered many helpful suggestions about what to do and where to eat. It was truly a dream come true week for us! Thank you, Luca!

We had a great time at this former convent. Luca and Manu were great hosts. Manu was able to get our luggage carried up the many flights of stairs for us and down again for checkout. The rooms were comfortable and the views were amazing. We highly recommend this property.

This is an amazing home in a lovely location - perfect for exploring all of Cinque Terre or for relaxing with a beautiful view. We had enough time to enjoy both over 4 days! Our host was very accommodating and helped carry luggage up the stairs. We absolutely loved this place - thank you Luca!

We spent five unbelievable nights at Luca's home in Vernazza. For years I have been researching Cinque Terre and its towns. I read multiple forums telling travelers to visit the cities instead of Cinque Terre in December. However, visiting this area had always been my dream, so I decided to take the plunge and go anyway. I am so glad that I did!!! Did it rain? Yes, but we also had a few amazing days as well. That's why you need to stay for 5 or more days. I wish we stayed longer. We loved Vernazza more than the other towns, and Vernazza has the best two hikes (Monterosso and Corniglia). The Monterosso hike runs right behind this villa. The villa is stunning and the views are like a dream come true! The living space looks right out into the Vernazza harbor. The kitchen is well equipped; I actually cooked Christmas dinner in it. We woke every morning to the church bells ringing and just loved that, My family and I agreed that we would love to return again one day. Thank you, Luca and Emanuela, for some of the best memories of our lives.

We stayed here for 4 nights in Oct 2021. The location is beautiful. We loved looking out from the balcony. We also fell in love with Vernazza. It has lots of tourists during the day but is much quieter in the mornings and evenings. Stay a few days to get the true sense of the place. Luca was great. He checked in with us a couple of times to make sure things were going well. He also recommended restaurants and activities for us. He connected us with the owners of the restaurants so we could get reservations. He was one of the best hosts we’ve had. Also, I left a pair of glasses and he shipped them to us. I really liked interacting with him.

Ours was a large group of nine. The convent was perfect in every way. Beautiful views from inside and out. Loads of space to gather or sneak away for some quiet time. Lots of places nearby for eating and drinking. Swimming was fabulous. Luca and Manu are wonderful hosts

Everything about the property met our needs beautifully. Host was fantastic. The climb up to the property was difficult for older family members but that is typical for Vernazza. Everything in the house was clean and beds most comfortable. Views are spectacular. Lovely outdoor spaces.

In exploring all of the Cinque Terre, there was no where else that was as special or beautiful than this villa in Vernazza. It was absolutely charming, beautiful, perfectly clean and hospitable. We were overwhelmed with the wonderful place!

My daughter and I had some much needed R & R. We enjoyed the beautiful space. Luca was very helpful and gave great recommendations for restaurants.

My sister and I and my two nieces rented this property and were not disappointed. Luca met us and helped us with our luggage to the house. He even purchased coffee and creamer for us because with it being winter the stores close early. He explained everything to us about the house and about the area. The house was very clean and the views are incredible! We sat on the balcony with a glass of wine and watched the spectacular sunset! Thank you Luca for a great stay and the wonderful memories added to our tour of Italy!

Amazing home with views of the sea and village. Lucas was responsive and easy to work with. This is one of those finds that you almost don't want the secret to get out. Incredible!

My family had a wonderful time in Vernazza. The property was beautiful, clean, had a great view and very comfortable. Lucca was so wonderful getting not only with our accommodations, but also helping us with luggage service and check-in. Definitely somewhere we would go back to in the future. Commanding views and good size and amenities.

Il Conventino is a little slice of heaven on earth. My family of 6, including my parents and my children had an incredible stay here at this magical location. It is truly so beautiful that people will try to follow you in the gate thinking it is part of the incredible hike between Vernazza and Monterosso. The view is so amazing it is hard to describe and the conversion of the convent is exquisite with excellent air conditioning in the bed rooms and a shower with surprisingly good water pressure. The location is right on the hiking path and there is nothing but sea and sky to enjoy out of almost every window. Luca and Emanuela were helpful, charming and communicative and took care of all of our questions including making excellent recommendations for restaurants. Emanuela even went out of her way to assist my mother in carrying her bag up the hillside steps which was so appreciated! We loved every moment! Anne

We rented this house for 3 nights in early July and loved it! The location was fabulous and house was very clean. Given the heat wave we experienced during our stay, we especially appreciated the A/C. Would highly recommend this property.

We cannot thank Luca enough for welcoming our family to Il Conventino. Words and pictures just do not convey the magic of his home in Vernazza. From watching our boys explore the rocks around the cove as we relaxed on our chairs in the living room, to sampling Vernazza’s restaurants recommended by Luca and Emanuela, to hitting the trails between the villages of Cinque Terre right from the front gate, to the ringing of the church bells, and watching the local fishermen ply their Gozzos, our family enjoyed a quintessential Italian vacation thanks to Il Conventino and Luca’s hospitality. The home was spotless, kitchen well appointed, bedrooms comfortable (with air conditioning and views to die for) and a terrace overlooking the harbor complete with dining table under a bougainvillea draped arbor. Cinque Terre is a jewel of the Italian coast, Vernazza its most picturesque village, and Il Conventino the best spot to experience it all. We cannot wait to visit again, and hope to find Il Conventino waiting for us when we do. Thank you Luca!

We had an amazing stay at Il Conventino in Vernazza! Everything was perfect and the views were unbelievably beautiful! Emanuela and Luca made everything go so smoothly and had great suggestions. We hope to stay here again someday!

This house was perfect for our family of five adults and one child while we stayed in the area. It was well appointed and everything we needed. Luca, the owner, was amazing from start to finish. You can’t beat the location in town. Stairs are to be expected in Cinque Terra and this home is no exception. You’ll appreciate the view once you’re there ;) One suggestion would be to bring socks or flip flops because the tile floors can be a little chilly. Otherwise, you need for nothing here.
