We stayed in a clean, spacious and highly soundproofed room in the middle of the beautiful, well-maintained garden, next to the pool - a great option for couples, families and individual travelers who want the tranquility of nature within a 5-10 minute walk from downtown Melaka. The "cherry on top" is the kindness and attention of the hosts, Natasha and Sam. Thank you very much for this unforgettable experience, we can't wait to visit back soon!

The enclosed garden and lovely little pool were a delight to return to after sightseeing in the busy historic centre of Malacca. We also loved Sean and Elizabeth's helpfulness in every way possible. The little common room with snacks and drinks to help oneself was a nice touch. The grounds and pool were beautiful and there were plenty of seating areas both shady and sunny. I even did my yoga on the lawn each morning before the generous breakfast which was a combination of home cooked Malaysian and European food.

The place was very clean and the people were very friendly. It is like a small resort in the middle of the city. Very peaceful and serene. The host treated us like family and attended to us well. Walking distance to all attractions.

This is a quaint historic venue set in a quiet area of Melaka city. I liked that it felt secluded so you could relax in peaceful surroundings yet be 5 minutes walk from a busy mall with shops and restaurants and just 10-15 minutes walk from Jonker street , the river and main attractions in Melaka. The hosts were very hospitable and welcoming and made you feel safe and looked after. Breakfasts were freshly cooked with attention to guests preferences for Western or traditional styles of food. Fresh tea and coffee and filtered water were freely available. In the afternoon we had lovely snacks laid on after the day’s excursions.

A Truly Boutique Heritage Experience. A very warm welcome from the hosts even before we arrived. The minute we stepped in the pristine grounds of Casugria we were warmly greeted and generously provided for as we had made the arduous journey from KLIA. Soaking in the atmosphere in Casugria itself is simply breathtaking. The beautiful garden and shimmering pool are indeed a sight for sore eyes. Breakfast is simply nourishing and delicious. In fact the spread is very generous. What we like about the breakfast is that it was catered to our needs and our taste. To us that is truly a boutique AirBnB experience. Service was par excellence as we were always greeted with genuine friendliness, warmness and bright smiles which is something we found more common in Thailand, Vietnam Cambodia and Indonesia. The Humility and Friendliness of the owners and staff of Casugria are such a rarity in the busy commercial tourism world of today. We not only enjoyed our stay in Casugria because of its location, facilities or breakfast or even beauty but also because of its humble owners and staff who are simply hardworking, obliging and genuinely hospitable.

It would be very unfair and unreasonable for me to nitpick when we were so well taken care off with utmost care, sincere love and attention. Although they do not show it explicitly, somewhow you get the feeling everyone in Casugria is working very hard and trying their level best to give you the most memorable and pleasant stay possible. To me their genuine diligence, attentiveness, kindness and sincerity is all that matters. Honestly, Casugria is for those who want a genuine boutique experience and something out of the ordinary without sacrificing location, safety, comfort, cleanliness and aesthetics. Unfortunately, you will never know Casugria’s real value unless you take the plunge and be ready to be plesantly surprised.

Die Räume sind sehr sauber, die Betten bequem, der Pool einladend, die Gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück an die Bedürfnisse des Gastes angepasst. Ein Ort, an dem man gerne länger bleiben würde.

Un séjour inoubliable à Casugria Dutch Residences Malacca, un havre de paix grâce à Natasha & Shaun, mille mercis pour tout 🙏🏼 Nous sommes arrivés au milieu de la nuit, fatigués, affamés et épuisés par un long voyage depuis Kuala Terengganu, et avons été accueillis par nos hôtes enthousiastes et sociables. Ils nous ont accueillis sans tarder et nous ont mis à l'aise grâce à leur hospitalité chaleureuse et à leur générosité. Inutile de dire que nous n'avons pas eu besoin de sortir car il était déjà presque minuit et les hôtes s'étaient assurés que tous nos besoins étaient satisfaits. Si vous réservez le Casugria, vous comprendrez ce qui le différencie des autres hôtels de chaîne. En faire l'expérience, c'est croire jusqu'où Casugria est prêt à aller pour que vous vous sentiez chez vous, à l'aise, satisfait, en sécurité. Inutile de dire qu'en plus d'être chaleureusement accueillis, nous avons été très bien traités et qu'aucun effort n'a été épargné pour nous offrir les meilleures vacances de tout notre voyage en Malaisie. Négatif : Casugria n'a que 4 à 5 chalets à louer à un moment donné, et vous risquez de manquer le coche si vous êtes pris par l'excitation de parcourir littéralement les milliers d'hébergements proposés à Melaka. Notre seul regret est de ne pas avoir connu la vraie valeur de Casugria avant d'y avoir séjourné, et nous aurions donc dû réserver un séjour plus long.

The place is amazing on all levels and the staff was very friendly and did their utmost best to cater to us.

The rooms are part of a private building. Some of them are very minimal, with bathroom built outside and in a second stage apparently. The staff was super gentle and provided us a good breakfast; also, they supported in booking a taxi

The position is good but not the best considering that the entrance is next to a heavy-traffic road and there are no streetlights

The hospitality of the couple managing this property is awesome; it had the personal touch. A place to meet and chat with others.

Great welcome. Friendly hosts at the start and the end but left us alone in between - perfect. Beautiful house - characterful and historic but the rooms were comfortable with a modern/antique blend. Nice shower room and bifold doors onto the deceptively large pool. Beautifully and expertly curated garden. Homely common area. Excellent value.

It was all very good TBH. Maybe a couple of bottles of water in the room would be good. USB charging point. Very minor things.

Calm oasis close to the centre of town. The pool was great to cool off after morning of exploring, retreating to our rooms for some rest during hottest part of the day (when the tour bus arrivals were at their peak!), then back out in the early evening. Rooms with AC and fan so we maintained comfortable environment day and night, bathrooms spotless. Our room facing the pool had a separate sitting area which was great to relax in and read during hot part of the day. Perfect for our family stay.

Lovely bed and breakfast in the truest sense -- before AirBnB was even a thing :) Sean and Nastasha are exceptional hosts, and define hospitality in Malaysia. The location of their home is a short walk away from the center of Meleka. The only negative of my stay was wishing I had more time to enjoy their tranquil home. A true garden oasis.

So tranquil; sparkling clean pool at a perfect temperature; quiet and private - a total sanctuary; lush garden; bursting with character (both historic and the owners’); cool and comfortable room; big bathroom; delicious breakfast that changed every day; icy water whenever we wanted; excellent location close to the centre get out of the hustle and bustle; and the most hospitable, kind, warm, genuine and helpful hosts you could ever hope to meet.

Honestly, nothing. We actually relocated from another property and were so impressed, we changed our plans to be able to stay for longer.

The nasi lemak for breakfast was nice, however it would have been even better if there was fresh coffee and fresh juice. The room was nicely lit and the bathroom was well designed.

Our chalet didn't have an outdoor sitting area.

Everything as it was a comfortable stay with a touch of Malaysian hospitality. Rooms were comfortable and sound proof. Wonderful welcome tea and breakfast with a local Malaysian touch. Keep up the good work. Their staff Tianne is such a nice girl and is very helpful 🥰

The owner of the property just treat us as family and the breakfast was good and furthermore when he know my husband vegetarian they give him a good spread of vegetarian breakfast and give us ideas where to eat since we don’t know the place that much .The wifi works very well thru out our stay .Overall we just feel that we go for visiting to relative house.

very warm host. the owners live there too and are very warm and friendly couple with lot of interesting stories. they have a beautiful well kept garden which creates a beautiful ambience. Proximity to the main mall, museum and other tourist places is a great advantage

The individual rooms have been recently upgraded, but rest of property could do with a coat of paint, some new deck chairs and patio furniture.

I love the quiet private ambience and the location of this place. It is in the city just walking distance to the old Equatorial Hotel. The host Sean and Natasha both made us so comfortable during our stay. We had lovely malaysian breakfast. It felt like home. I love our rooms, both facing swimming pool. The garden is kept so well and it is so nice to be surrounded with beautiful plants. Some wild flowers such as wild orchids and red ginger flowers can be found here.

It is an oasis in this old city. A lovely, relaxing place for my family to recoup after the day walk and shopping. A lovely, historical place (1810) that make our stay in Malacca even more meaningful especially when Malacca is a UNESCO city. Living here helps us feel like a part of it too. My family enjoy the facility and the green inside too. The warm hospitality of the host adds on to the charm of the place. Highly recommended .

Perhaps remember to bring your shoes into the room though we didn’t wear them in the room to prevent getting them soaking wet by the sudden heavy rain at night.
