Lots of room! The twin beds could definitely use a new mattress as I could feel the springs. The daily deer visits were awesome! Necessities were covered and instructions and even dining suggestions were clear and concise. We had a nice time

While a little dated, everything was clean and as described. The beds and even sofas were quite comfortable. The hosts communicated well which made for a smooth transaction. There was a bit of a damp/musty smell we noticed upon entering (some of us more than others) but the hosts did have a dehumidifier running to apparently address it. Overall it was a very nice stay and I wish the weather had been cooler to enjoy the serene patio and back yard.

Nice, comfortable apartment. Plenty of room. We read reviews about the driveway to the back of the house...so we were prepared. We have a small car and were able to turn around but with a larger vehicle you may back to back out of the long drive.

We enjoyed our stay and the peace and quiet of this location while we were in town for a family memorial service. Would definitely stay here again.

When we arrived, it was late afternoon on a cloudy cool day. There were no welcoming lights on inside or outside of the house. The steep driveway is bordered on one side by a ravine. It was scary getting up it, but then, at the top there was no place to turn around, so we had to back out of it. That was hard enough to do in the semi daylight, but we knew we never wanted to attempt it at night. the walkway to the house from the driveway was covered with wisteria vines, which were pretty , but pieces were hanging down, which , again if we had come in the dark could have been a bad thing. The inside of the house was dark and cold. I called the owner to ask him where the thermostat was so we could turn on the heat. he said the thermostat was upstairs and had to be operated by him. We were not comfortable with that arrangement. We turned around and left and had to go rent a hotel for three nights of our conference. Owner was defensive when I sighted our reasons for not staying there.

This property was so great. I was easy to get to. In a nice area and not far from anything you want to do. The place was clean and organized and instructions were very easy and clear to understand. It was a great time and I would love to come back to it again.

Nice and spacious apartment. Two large bedrooms, one with a two persons bed and one with to single beds. Enough places to sit inside, a table with chairs, a desk, and a lovely outside patio, that makes you feel part of nature.
The owner was a very kind man. We enjoyed talking to him even though we didn't see him a lot. He values your privacy, yet is an interesting person to have a chat with.
Basic kitchen, no stove or so, but that didn't bother us since we went out for dinner all the time.

With the surrounding hotels price gouging for move-in week, it was nice to find this VRBO at a reasonable price. It's very comfortable, spacious and quiet, with a lovely backyard view. Convenient to downtown and surrounding Lynchburg area - easy check in and out and great communication for any questions you might have!

Basement apartment was easy to access with privacy more than most hotels. A truly great get away in a charming surrounding. Wife even watched deer walking through the yard while making a cup of coffee one morning. Apartment is furnished with varied paintings, old photos, wall quilt and African type mask carvings. A full book case is provided for all types of readers. The apartment was perfect for this retired couple seeking a new adventure along with plenty of relaxing downtime. No oven or stove is available, but what 70 yr old couple cooks on vacation anyway. Eating in is as easy as creating a healthy charcuterie spread from the local Kroger. Many thanks to our VRBO hosts for the moderately priced home away from home!

Our arrival was easy. The keys were in the lock box with clear instructions on how to get in and clear instructions on how to leave. This is a cozy little basement apartment. It is charming with it’s gas fireplace and well appointed with eclectic art work, great books, and so forth. Very homey!

Lovely location - wish we had had more time to enjoy the patio. Very clean - property was everything promised and more. Check in was easy. Briefly met the owners and they were very nice and friendly. We will definitely try to stay here again in the future.

This was a great place to stay. Our sons were at LU for the week, and I needed a quiet place to do research and write. Perfect!!! Close to everything, and peaceful.

Convenient and Affordable
Nicely furnished and located in a lovely setting. The only issue was the strong odor of the meal being prepared by the owners who live in the floor above. The apartment is very near Lynchburg colleges and historic venues. We would definitely consider it again.

Photos are accurate. Very spacious. Quiet neighborhood, finished basement apartment. Back patio very inviting. Available parking and then some. We were thrown off by no stove, although in hindsight, we didn't read the amenities well enough. Also, the place hadn't been used in a while so some bugs, spiders, and critters had found their way to the bathtub and sinks. Nothing that some rinsing out didn't take care of.

Very nice setting tucked away
This is our second stay here in the beautiful location. There is plenty of room to spread out and the location is so close to great restaurants, hiking and shopping. My wife and two grown children stayed while visiting them at Liberty University. This is such a better setting then a hotel suite.

This was a great place to stay when visiting Lynchburg. It is comfortable and like home. There are very limited kitchen capabilities so not great for a lengthier stay. Lovely neighborhood and scenic area.

Wonderful! Everyone loved this place!
We had a wonderful time staying here for our weekend trip to Lynchburg. The home is in a very nice, quiet, beautiful location very close to the downtown area. Very clean, beautifully decorated, and many thoughtful details were included. Comfortable beds and a beautiful patio out back with a great view. Great books and lots of local brochures of things to do in the area. We really enjoyed our stay and the history of Lynchburg. My kids loved our stay and said, "It feels like Christmas". They enjoyed the office area.

Good location
We felt safe in this location and it was close to everywhere I wanted to visit. It was very clean and provided most of our needs. It also was well decorated and comfortable. The grill was dirty and unusable. The refrigerator was too small and was unable to provide us with any ice. I was glad we had the washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and covers. Overall, it was a good experience and our host was very accommodating.

A Place to Stay
We stayed in the lower level of a house and had our own private entrance. It was very clean and served our purposes well. We spent most of our time away visiting our children from Liberty. It is about a 20-25 min. drive to Liberty. The house was in a lovely neighborhood and the back porch was a beautiful place for a glass of wine.

LIberty University Stay
Place was nice and clean. Easy to check in. Lots of beautiful greenery around and the neighborhood was wonderful. There are dogs upstairs which did make some noise, but we got used to them. Loved the decor and all the amenities. Thankful that we could use the small grill to make dinner outside. Short drive to Liberty University. Michael checked in and ensured we were comfortable at all times!
