With previous reviews I was a little skeptical. However, very please with everything. The home was very clean, well furnished and decorated very nicely. Was glad it allowed a dog. Would recommend highly.

Up arrival there were ants all over the kitchen. The property manager came and sprayed but still had ants. The floors were filthy as well as the living room furniture. The door handle fell off every time we used it. Water pressure in the kitchen was minimal. Bathroom holes were filled with toilet paper. The dishwasher leaked all over the floor once Outside chairs had rusty legs and were dangerous for little feet. Desperate need for cleats on the dock. Overall needs a lot of cleaning and repairs. Location was good and the pool was good. If not for the location, I would have given it a one star.

House was great location on cabal for biat was kinda crappy via the long drive in and out to get to open water but other than that was a good stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house is in a perfect location to the beach as well as the grocery stores. We enjoyed being able to dock the boat at the house, and jump in to fish anytime. We also really enjoyed the pool, it was the perfect temperature for April!

Convenient location. Short walk or ride to Sombrero Beach, Publix and other shopping. The house was fairly well equipped but could use some beach chairs and a new umbrella. Pool was well maintained and heated, which made the ladies happy. The home was very dusty, floors were “sticky”, so it could use a good, thorough cleaning. Overall, a nice place.

The property was great, the house had plenty of room, The floors were very dirty. When we all showed up we took our shoes off and were walking around. My daughter noticed her sons feet were very dirty. We all looked at our feet and we had to wash all the floors. Otherwise, we had a great time and the house was amazing. Nice place. Great location. All dishes and silverware were found put away but dirty. Clean Linens were found put away but wet. Not much kitchen supplies to prepare meals.

Location was great! Pool was heated everything was clean and plenty of towels was great! Some feedback maybe newer bikes, more condiments in kitchen and a Keurig coffee machine would have been nice some towel hooks in bathrooms too.

We stayed at the house right after the Key West Half and loved it. The property was in a great central location for exploring the Keys, as you were not far from anything. We popped back down to Key West another time for the day and it was an easy drive home after our adventures. The property was clean, well maintained, our kids lived in the pool when we weren’t out, and the adults enjoyed all the outdoor seating. This house is on our short list for future stays, for sure. Only suggestion for the house would be a tea kettle. We are a group of tea drinkers, and while clean, running water through the coffee pot wasn’t the best since there’s the lingering coffee flavor.

This house is perfect for family and friends. 4 spacious bedrooms and common areas provide plenty of room. The heated pool in the winter is a hit. Close to beach and many attractions. Local contact is friendly and responsive. We had a great week.

We had a wonderful week. The house was exactly as it was listed. Plenty of room, clean and comfortable. Only draw back was we could not get the remote controls to work with the televisions in the bedrooms, once we got the living room TV to work we, had all we needed to check weather and news. We did not want to bother the maintenance guy for such a trivial thing. We will stay again great central location having the pool and a boat made the stay that much better. Our dogs loved the fenced in back yard and so did we. Planning next years Thanksgiving week.

There were 10 of us, 2 dogs and a boat. Lots of room to park. House was nice. Very close to Publix.

Home was clean with all necessary amenities. Property manager was responsive and helpful! About 30-40 minute idle to open water with small beautiful bays along the way. Close to Boot Key, light house and 7 mile. Walking distance to Publix. Had a great week!

Very nice property but we had issues the day we checked in with dirty beds and a clogged master bedroom shower . Got a hold of maintenance the next day and they came and took care of the problems

since we arrived, the dishwasher didnt work, the ac ran hot. took someone 6 days to come out to fix and didnt finish fixing the running toilet, no pillow cases on the pillows., towels were put away wet, the last three days no internet, therefore no tv either, no cover on the major sliding glass door, so you couldnt even sit in the leaving room in the afternoon to part of the evening because of the sun. this property is run on bare bones. it was a disappointing experience for sure

TIPS- BRING flat sheets for chair , love seat and couch. They are disgusting. I brought mine because it was in another review . BRING - a Swiffer sweeper the floors are disgusting all of our feet were black . I bought one and the first day I cleaned the floors 3 times until clean . It was like mud, taking it off later by layer . I did not leave it , to expensive for me to leave it . After that it was perfect . Publix is half mile down the road . Wonderful house .

This house was a great find for our family! We had people gathering from across the globe and it was easy to find, had enough parking for all the cars, and was super close to the grocery store so we could stock up for our trip. The house itself was clean and well prepared, it had everything we needed! We used the bikes often because the beach was only 1.5 miles away. One of the bike tires got a flat and they had someone over to fix it immediately. Awesome! The pool and patio area was fantastic for gathering and lounging, wish we had brought a Bluetooth speaker, but we enjoyed the neighbors’ music instead :) we had events in key largo and key west, so this location was ideal. Thank you!

Nice location - convenient to shopping. Long boat ride out and back on the canal. Pool was great to have on the hot days. Very good vacation!

The house is in a great location. The pool was very nice and we even saw manatee right off the dock. The floors really need a good cleaning. Our feet all turned black within minutes. Only one of the bikes was barely usable. They are all rusting and falling apart. We bought a beach umbrella and left it there. Would expect a beach house to at least have some beach chairs. Also a ladder at the dock. Overall it is a good property and with a few adjustments would be fantastic.

This is our 3rd time traveling to Marathon Key and our second time renting a house on sombrero road. Pro’s: The house itself is nice. The private pool and location on the channel is perfect in proximity to sombrero beach, nearby shops, grocery store and pharmacy. We love staying in the middle keys as it’s easy to drive both north and south. Love the washer and dryer feature. Cons: we walked into a dirty house. We could tell the house was superficially cleaned, but it was not swept, the counters had dried food on them still, the bath tubs had black dirt and foot prints in them (which we easily cleaned off) and most of the beds had hair on the sheets and pillows. When we first got there I had to sweep as there was so much stuff on the floor. The couch is stained so bad that we were disgusted to sit on them. There are no extra sheets. We ended up washing all of our bedding and noticed there wasn’t enough pillow cases in the house for all the pillows. We ended up going to Fred’s beds and furniture to buy twin sheets to cover the couch and extra pillow cases. I was hoping the reviews on cleanliness weren’t accurate, as the reviews earlier in 2021 when we booked, were much more favorable than the last six months. Also, The room with twin beds has an issue with ants (not totally uncommon for a tropical region) but totally treatable. Also make sure to wash all dishes before you use them, that was also disgusting. Coffee left in the coffee maker. The dishwasher isn’t installed properly. It works fine, but moves all over the place. The communication with the property manager was also subpar and at one point it took him weeks respond back to me about extending our stay by a night. Also we had issues with the toilets in the master bath and twin room just not flushing. My husband is a plumber and was able to fix the issue, but they need new toilets. And the fire alarm batteries went dead in the twin room and we had to go get 9v batteries so it would stop going off. Again, the house and its bones are nice, location great, quiet safe area. But truly, the lack of cleanliness was disgusting and just a lot of little things were not well maintained, which ended up being nuances for us.

We loved our stay here and would definitely return. It is spacious and we LOVED the pool. It is close to stores, restaurants and the beach. The only negatives were lack of bed linens. (There were no pillowcases for extra pillows and no linens at all for pull out couch) The main issue we had was cleanliness. The living room furniture cushions are very dirty and stained up. We actually took the bed spreads off the beds and put them on the couches to sit. The floors were also filthy. Just walking through the house. Within minutes everyones bottom of their feet were black. This was all week. White socks could not even be bleached clean. If it weren't for the fact that house definitely needs a good cleaning, I would have given the property 5 stars!

Came down with friends for a birthday. Loved the house. It was spacious and had the right amount of bedrooms and bathrooms for 3 couples. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. Loved relaxing at the pool. Perfect size for 6 adults to float in. Checkin and checkout was simple and to the point. I would stay here again. Thank you Rhandee for your hospitality.

Well equipped. Good location for our family. We could walk to the store. The only suggestion is we did not have linens and pillow cases for the roll out.

We had a great time in Marathon over the last few days. The house is as described, and Linda was so gracious and helpful. Our only complaints were that the bathrooms and floors were not very clean when we arrived. We had to bleach the bathrooms and mop the entire house. The bath towels were also stained. Other than cleanliness, we were very pleased with our stay and would come back!

Best vacation ever

Great place for a group! We had a couple small issues the first day that we’re fixed very quickly by proper management folks. We appreciated the quick response. We had a wonderful week for our first trip to the keys. That being said, there are some things that need mentioned. First, the beds. They’re extremely hard and not at all comfortable. We had a group of 8 adults and not one person thought otherwise. Second, we flew from Oregon for a week expecting to have a fully stocked VRBO. This rental currently has the bare minimum of any supplies. Occupancy for 10 yet there were 3 beach towels. Bath towels were of very low quality, no pillowcases for extra pillows, blankets were very thin and cheap, etc. We were disappointed in how cheap the few items the house had were. I think with a little effort this place could be amazing!!
