The guest house is in a great location and a very short walk to the sea front. We had a very warm welcome from Nicky and a delicious apple cake provided as a welcome too. The room was excellent and the breakfasts served were first class with lots of choices. Nicky provided some great information about local restaurants.

Hosts Nikki and Pete were lovely. The guest house is beyond dog friendly- it’s dog focused, which is rare, and made our stay and Bolt’s, really special. There are thoughtful touches - homemade biscuits and Dorset apple cake, as well as dog bowls, dog towel, dog biscuits, and the offer of a dog bed. Our room was large, clean and bed very comfortable. There was a good choice of breakfast options, and breakfast was delicious. The information pack was really helpful, giving lots of recommendations for eateries and activities. The hosts local knowledge was good, with recommendations for walks and places to visit. The location is very central, with a very short walk to the beach, town and harbour. We will definitely stay at Stone’s Throw again.

There was nothing to dislike a very enjoyable and comfortable stay with all the unexpected extras which gave a personal touch from Nikki and the breakfast was excellent. Nikki couldn't do enough to make our stay more than excellent.

Again Nikki has thought of everything to give a more than excellent stay so there is nothing I can report that I didn't like. Nikki has made it a little gem of a place and I would not hesitate in booking again in the future if there are any rooms available to book that is.

The hotel was in a great spot, close to the beach and all other amenities, but tucked down a little road so it was quite. Our host was lovely, nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfast was cooked perfectly and there was more than enough to eat. She even gave us a card for our anniversary! Will definitely going back there!

Being used to a king size bed, we found the double a little squashy. Also the floor upstairs had very squeaky floorboards.

The location was excellent. The owners were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious 😋

Landlady was very welcoming. Room was very clean and roomy. Nice touch was free biscuits and a peace of cake, made by the owner. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Really couldn't fault the guest house in any way. Would definitely stay here again.

EVERYTHING! Nikki came outside the property to greet us when we arrived and immediately helped us with our suitcase upstairs. Once in the Guest House Nikki recommended a few spots to us such as restaurants, attractions etc.. The room was very clean and tidy with teas coffees and homemade cakes available. There was also a guest recommendations printout which was very useful! Breakfasts each morning never disappointed (Sausages were amazing) we were also greeted with Bella & Ludo who were adorable! Cant wait to visit again and bring our dog Mabel 😊 Thanks again!

Location, welcome, room, breakfast all was perfect

1 day it was cold.

Nikki is a really friendly, welcoming hostess and nothing is too much trouble for her. Nikki knew this was a birthday break for me and had fresh flowers and Prosecco waiting for us on arrival, which was a thoughtful and much appreciated personal touch. We also had some delicious Dorset Apple Cake in our room on arrival - very welcome after a 3-hour drive. On the morning of my birthday, I found a birthday card from Nikki on our breakfast table, which was really sweet. Our room, although a little on the small side, was very clean and comfortable and well stocked with all the essentials. Fresh milk was provided daily and there is access to a communal fridge, which is really handy for keeping wine chilled, among other things. Our daily full English breakfast was exceptional - the first time we have stuck with a meat sausage rather than move over to the veggie option because the sausage was so good. Nikki bakes fresh treats daily and one of my favourite sounds was when I heard her filling the treats dish outside our door early every morning! We were spoilt with Anzac biscuits, brownies, millionaire shortbread and almond & raisin slices. Shower and water pressure were great. Free off-street parking provided - a huge bonus in Weymouth. Just a 2-minute walk from the lovely sandy beach and close to all shops and amenities - a perfect location. Very dog-friendly (although we don't have a dog ourselves). All-in-all, a truly perfect holiday break and we look forward to staying with Nikki again.

for me the bed was too soft. I’ve been suffering from a bad back since. ( must’ve slept funny) there was nothing wrong with it just not suitable for me. it wasn’t until the following morning I started suffering and up to then I didn’t realise I needed a harder mattress. this isn’t a reflection on the room which was excellent

We enjoyed our break at the Stones Throw Guest House. The hosts were excellent nothing was too much trouble & we had a comfy room which was very clean. Breakfast was tasty & enjoyable. Location was near to beach, shops & restaurants plus free parking.
