• At Christmastime, enjoy the extensive light display!
• Hidden Gem: The Anthony Chapel.
What do Eureka Springs, Hot Springs, and Bella Vista have in common? Yes, two of them have “Springs” in their names, and they’re excellent towns to visit, of course, but there’s something else they have in common. All three are home to similar chapels. The facades of these chapels are all slightly different, and the interiors are not identical, but what they have in common is that they successfully unite the beauty of the outdoors with the details of man-made ingenuity and focus on giving visitors a peaceful nondenominational experience in a setting that exalts both the wider natural world and the inner spirituality of their visitors. Not to be missed!
Oaklawn Racing and Gaming
• Oaklawn Park is a world-class thoroughbred racing course which hosts live racing from January to May. Don't miss the Racing Festival of the South, with the Grade I Arkansas Derby (known for producing various Kentucky Derby winners). You can now also head to Oaklawn to watch and bet on the Kentucky Derby the first weekend in May!
• If you're not able to visit in the spring, don't fret as you can still wager in comfort and style at the Oaklawn Gaming Casino, which often features local live music.
Historic Downtown Hot Springs (P.S., take Blacksnake Road back into town from our home and you'll not only go through the National Park to get there, but you'll miss all the traffic!):
• By far the most popular attraction in Hot Springs is the National Park (which by the way was designated as a reserve by the federal government in 1832!! That's 40 years before Yellowstone!) Be sure to walk down world famous Bathhouse Row. The Fordyce bathhouse has been beautifully restored and serves as the Visitor Center for the National Park.
• Relax and take your mind off your worries with a bath from the natural hot mineral waters that seep to the ground and give the area its name. The Quapaw Baths as well as the Buckstaff Baths give you the opportunity to treat yourself and step back in time to a world of luxury and pampering.

• Our lake home is only minutes away from Mid-America Science Museum. It's another hidden gem of Hot Springs and the kids will love it. There are lots of interactive displays which teach science at the same time!
• It wouldn't be a town for tourists with out some good old fashioned mini-golf!! Our home is minutes from Volcano Falls Mini Golf. Other themed options include Pirates Cove Adventure Golf and T-Rex Indoor Mini Golf (they've got you covered if you need to escape the hot summer weather).
• Magic Springs Theme and Water Park has been a mainstay in Hot Springs since 1977 (they did have a brief hiatus) but it's back and as popular as ever. This truly was the perfect lake vacation for us! The house was lovely with so many rooms having gorgeous views of the lake. The two floors with separate kitchens worked out well, particularly for the early risers who made coffee to watch the sun rise. The lakefront access for swimming, kayaking, and use of the pontoon boat was the best. We had quiet mornings during the week, perfect for coffee and breakfast on the porch. The backyard is fully fenced in, and our dogs lived their best lakeside life for sure. Stan is a great host, we will most definitely be back again in the future!

Great location, great host. Only negative - floors could use a good cleaning/scrubbing.

The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. But our favorite part was the outdoor space right on the lake with lots of seating, lots of shade, and a wonderful dock for swimming and fishing. We stayed outside almost all day. It was so beautiful and relaxing. Stan was very accommodating and very responsive to any questions.

We had a great time at Stan's! The place is beautiful (especially that upstairs kitchen!) and we enjoyed our day on the lake. Be sure and ask him about renting his pontoon boat. Stan is a great communicator and I would give him higher than 5 if I could. Thanks!

I can't say enough great things about this property and host, as this vrbo rental was our favorite ever. Our family was looking for a relaxing stay, and the host went over and above to make it perfect for us. The house was clean and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed being right on the lake and use of kayaks and all the wonderful sitting areas. And our adult children loved having the top level for themselves. The host was always quick to respond to make sure we had what we needed which made our stay even more memorable. Thank you again for absolutely everything, and we will most definitely be back!

Stan was a wonderful host. The home was spacious and on the water in a quiet neighborhood. We vacationed here in early May and had a truly relaxing week. We really enjoyed the amenities like access to kayaks and SUP. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you might need, including a waffle maker. Easy access to downtown Hot Springs and minutes from a grocery store. Beautiful vacation property!

Location was excellent and very convenient to grocery store and restaurants. Fenced in yard was great for our 2 doodles who had a great time chasing squirrels and watching ducks. The outdoor seating areas and docks were a plus.

With so many things available at the property, we didn’t have to go anywhere. Just enjoyed our stay. We all loved it. Planning on going back.

Excellent home that we really enjoyed! Home was very clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of space for everyone to spread out with very cozy spaces throughout the home.
The outdoor lakefront is amazing. There are several comfortable and convenient sitting spaces from the decks down to the dock. We spent a lot of time just hanging out enjoying the peacefulness of the lake and the property.
Communications with Stan were great, he was quick to answer several questions and very helpful with everything we needed.
My teenagers loved this place and we will stay here again if future travels bring us back to the area.

A quiet spot on the lake to relax. Close enough to go into Hot Springs or Lake Ouachita for sightseeing or hiking.

Couldn’t ask for more from a property. Had everything we needed. Stunning views, more than enough space and room to hang out, inside and out. Would stay again if ever in the area. We stayed in January but it’s the perfect place to book in the summertime. Lots of family or adult fun without ever leaving the house.

We were so pleased with the accommodations! The photos don't do it justice, and Stan was a wonderful host.

Everything about this place was great , especially Being on the lake! Stan makes sure you are taken care of, met his mother, very sweet lady. Could not have asked for nicer person to rent from. Would recommend this place highly. We also rented his pontoon boat, had a great time on that as well, we had a great time on his pontoon, would recommend this as well, I would like to come back in the summer.

Nice place for a family vacation on the lake. The split floor plan was a plus. The kayaks weren't on the property. They appeared to be at the house next door, which I believe is also owned by Stan. This wasn't an issue for us so it wasn't brought up. I'm sure Stan would have easily resolved this if I had reached out. Stan was a great host. Check in and out was a breeze.

Ok first of all, the lady with the crazy review below is a Karen of the highest order. I NEVER leave reviews but felt honor bound, simply to justify this property and to dismiss the overly dramatic, HIGHLY exaggerated review left below. In an honest and fair world, it would be removed. She sounds like someone strictly trying to get a discount or something free.
Stan was checking on us before we even left home, outstanding communication. Then when we arrived at the property my girls were blown away and soooo excited. The place is HUGE, literally 2 full kitchens, bedrooms, full living spaces upstairs and downstairs. The boat on site was a wonderful treat and Stan was simply amazing. As an old school Marine and former Special Deputy Marshal, this place is definitely up to standard, worth the price and much much more. Many thanks Stan, we'll be back again every summer to make more memories, God willing.

House has a lot of potential. Beautiful setting, lovely views, quaint and eclectic interior. However, it needs a general deep cleaning and maintenance strategy completed immediately. The review posted on 3/5/23 is accurate ++.
Here’s a few things we found upon arrival:
Floors, upholstery and carpets stained and dirty,
Pillows on sofa had large rips and tears, refrigerator, had mildew in corners and under glass, oven was dirty with debris and ash, soap dispensers cloudy and moldy, left over items from previous guests; clothing in closet, used brush and other random items, towels were old, worn and stained. Some appeared to be rags, kitchen cabinets in general disarray. Christmas decorations just randomly in pantry along with roach bait and a dirty stained trash can, only broom available was taped together and fell apart when used.
Stan seems nice but unapologetic about the condition of the house and doesn’t take responsibility for his lack of attention to the preparation of his guests/travelers.The burden falls on the renter to spend their vacation dealing with contacting him about these issues. We checked in and out the same day and found another lovely clean and well maintained lakefront house that met all our needs without having to worry about safety and well-being during our stay on lake hamilton.
It’s pretty simple, travelers are looking for a clean, safe, well maintained home. That’s the bare minimum- everything else is extra.

We enjoyed our stay - the location is perfect. The house is comfortable and the views are spectacular. If you are an avid kayaker or paddle boarder - know that there is really one true paddle board and it is missing the fin. Stan was awesome and bought a new paddle for us as the others were broken. Kayaks are missing the seats. The equipment is shared with the property next door. Perfect for kids playing by the docs - but not if you want to get out and explore the lake. Stan does have boats for that!

The communication with Stan was flawless! He answered any and every question with in minutes. We met Mrs.Diane who showed us another property Stan has listed on VRBO. Our in and out went smoothly. We arrive to find the house clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The home has two fully functional living spaces and kitchens. We mainly used the lower level living space because we brought our senior dog. It was great being able to bring him! With his age he doesn't do well being kennelled. We met our adult children for a week of relaxing and watching the the sun rise and set on the lake. The favorite part of our week we're all the outdoor choices. Stan has a nice swimming dock, where we swim and fished. A nice concrete area on the shore where we enjoyed yoga, reading, morning coffee and cocktails.Got to use the fire pit one evening. There's also a nice covered deck, where we spend our evenings watching the lake. The larger deck for our meals. Screened in patio area was great for morning coffee and evening card game. Loved looking out over the lake on the top floor balcony. We used all seven of the out door spaces!
We're trying to plan a fall visit. I know with all the out door spaces the property would be beautiful this fall!
We only left the home a few times but here is a Harps grocery store just a few minutes away. There's also a putt putt golf right around the corner and the Wal-Mart Supercenter only 10 minutes away.
Ready to revisit!

Nice space - airy, light, comfortable living areas. Appliances worked well. Great location on the water & backyard nicely shaded.
Several things were frustrating - we had 5 adults & had to ask for more toilet paper right off the bat.
Cleaning service had done a poor job - we found a dirty dishwasher, 1/8" grease inside lid of cast iron pot; dried food inside crockpot; dried coffee in mug, etc. Hotel soap with short & curlies stuck in it in shower. Drawers had underwear & clothing left behind by former guests & showers all had partially used bottles of shampoo, apparently left behind as well.
Oven had been used but not cleaned so created a smell when we used it.
Liquid hand soap in 2 of 3 bathrooms had water added to the bottles!!
Several hand towels were stained & threadbare.
Good thing we took some of our own cooking equipment, like measuring cups, as we couldn't find a complete set in house. Spatulas apparently came from dollar store - cheap & difficult to use.
Downstairs tub / shower combo drain was clogged badly - very long time to drain.
Shower handle upstairs hangs loose so you have to grip the base of the unit to adjust.
Front main bedroom door trigger doesn't work, so you have to put something in front of it from inside to keep door closed.
Loose boards in carport base next to poles holding the carport cover were loose. I discovered this by stepping on them & barely kept my balance & avoided rather long protruding nail.
Seat on one of the 2 lounge chairs on swimming deck was completely ripped so no one could sit on it. After a day I was afraid it might look like we did it, so I contacted Stan to let him know about it. He immediately affirmed that he knew we didn't rip it. So I'm left wondering why it wasn't replaced before we arrived...?
New cleaning service showed up alone to view the property while we were there. Don't understand why that had to be done when guests were renting the space.
It's not pleasant to spend the $ & arrive to find a number of relatively small but disturbing things that indicate lack of attention. In isolation, I probably wouldn't even mention most of these things, but collectively we had the impression that preparation for our stay was incomplete & unimportant.

The lake view is amazing and the house is set up well for 3 couples. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the view! Having access to the pontoon boat was an added bonus.

We had a wonderful time! The house was perfect for us! We enjoyed it so much we only left to go to the Derby! We had a tornado blow through during our stay and felt completely safe. Stan made check-in and check-out a breeze and check on us throughout the storms. Perfect piece of Heaven on Earth!

We LOVED our stay at Stan's place on Lake Hamilton. The setup was ideal for a multi-family guest situation, or just anyone who enjoys their own space to regroup at night. All of the furnishings were lovely. There were plenty of seating areas outdoors to enjoy the lovely view of the lake. Every consideration was given to anything you might need while there. I cannot recommend highly enough! We'll be going back for sure, maybe during the warmer weather months (though it was just right for our chilly wintery weekend, too)!

This house was so nice. Everything you could need was there. Stan was so nice and answered any questions we had quickly.

This worked out to be an excellent getaway. We booked last minute and everything went very smoothly. We came from WI and met family from MI. Stan was very accommodating and communication was great. We enjoyed the views from the house, back seating areas and pier. On our trip we enjoyed mining for crystals and visited bathhouse row. We will definitly visit the area again.

We had a wonderful time at this Vrbo. Since we have stayed in many, this one will definitely not disappoint. From the lake views, to the multi family set up, this home is excellent. We will definitely be back in the warm months to enjoy the lake and this amazing home! Thank you, Stan!

Great lake house! Very roomy and comfortable with lots of outdoor seating areas. The kitchens were fully equipped with everything we needed to cook a few meals. Stan was a great host - very friendly with excellent communication. We'll definitely try to book this house again on our next trip to Hot Springs.

We stayed here for a long weekend trip before Thanksgiving and had a great, relaxing time. The location is beautiful, right off the water and surrounded by trees. We spent time drinking coffee on the patio in the morning, fishing off of the dock and enjoying the fire pit in the evening. Wonderful stay!

We had the best time at Stan's getaway. The house had everything we needed - and then some! Multiple kitchens, laundry facilities, and sitting areas inside and outside definitely came in handy for our gang of 5. Enjoyed beautiful sunrise every morning, smores around the fire pit, a trip to sightsee and grab lunch on the boat. This is lake house is both big and cozy, well kept, and close to everything we needed. Stan was quick to respond to all inquiries the whole time we were there. Will definitely return next time we come to Hot Springs!

Owner was very helpful and easy to get in touch with. House was clean and had way more room than we needed. Great location on the lake and close to everything else Hot Springs has to offer.

Enjoyed our stay at Stan's lake house! This was our second time to Hot Springs and Stan's house easily accommodated our family (myself, husband, and 18 & 20 year old children) with lots of room to spare. We stayed 6 nights and it was not long enough! The home has its own charm and was well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We also rented the pontoon boat for the week and enjoyed lots of time out on the water. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we didn't have access to the kayaks; however, we did enjoy the paddleboard and swimming in the lake. The outdoor area and dock is a great place to relax. Stan is a very friendly host and was always accessible for any questions we had. Would definitely enjoy visiting here again.

This was my families first experience in Arkansas of any kind so we didn’t know what to expect. The location is great and the views are outstanding. The lake was perfect for everyone in my family, we swam, fished, and used the house paddle board. I would also recommend renting Stan’s boat and riding around the lake, there’s so much to explore and see from the water. Our favorite was going close to the dam near Ouachita Lake and jumping in the cold water. I have 0 complaints about this house or the location. Lots to do just at the house and it was only a 10-15 minute drive to bath house row in Hot Springs. Stan was very respondent when I had any questions and was a pleasure to work with. If we ever go back to this area I will stay at this house. A+++

Our family was looking for the perfect place to relax and celebrate our daughter's college graduation and this was it! Everything was exactly as described. We ate all of our meals on the deck overlooking the lake and spent the days relaxing, fishing, and kayaking from the dock. We look forward to coming back!

The house was beautiful, clean and spacious. Had everything we needed and more. The view is great. The decks were spacious. Lots of tables and chairs. The landscaping was gorgeous. Lots of flowers. Met Stan's mother and she let her dog Andy hangout with us for an evening. Can't wait to come back!!!!!

Our family of five loved this home! We spent hours fishing and kayaking, and the first floor deck with the grill and dining room table was fantastic (we grilled out three of the four nights we were there). There is a big grocery store a couple of minutes away, and the house is very well stocked for cooking and all other needs. It is also within easy driving distance to downtown Hot Springs and Oaklawn. Stan was very prompt in answering whatever questions we had. We would definitely stay again.

What a treasure! Wonderful location, outstanding property, great host. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful setting, this is it. The property layout was perfect for our family, basically an upstairs living area and a downstairs living, each with its own kitchen and a washer and dryer! Stan was most gracious and helpful in making sure we arrived safely and answering any questions we had. Looking forward to a return visit.
