About this house rental
Yes, that view is directly off our back deck!! Picture perfect! Our 2-story home has Spectacular Views of Sierra Blanca, all of the luxuries of home, and the casual ambiance of a mountain home. Our home sits at 7200 ft. above sea level overlooking the City of Ruidoso, and a five minute drive to the heart of the town. Our neighborhood is quiet, residential, and beautiful. We recently replaced our back decks, stuccoed the outside, replaced all the beds, and added wood floors!
When you enter the house, you enter a large living room with vaulted ceilings, fireplace, a 60” flat screen TV, and very comfortable couch and club chairs. All of our furniture has down wrapped cushions, and you will love the comfort! There is a wet bar attached to the living room with Riedel and Fusion wine glasses and barware. There is also a very special ½ bath upstairs for your convenience.
The kitchen has granite counter-tops, a Jenn-Air stove, Krups coffeemaker, RO water dispenser, and pots and pans that will make you feel at home. Our plates are porcelain, and there are serving pieces, placemats, and cloth napkins for you to enjoy. We have a gas grill on the top deck—ready for the steaks, or for the fish you brought from home or bought at Albertsons or Mario’s.
The back decks offers drop dead views of Sierra Blanca Mountain. We always say we bought the View, and the house came with it! Our home has been built into the side of the mountain, and sits at 40 feet above the ground (4-5 stories). Each floor has decks spanning the width of the house to enjoy the Mountain views and the wildlife below. There is also a deck on the front of our home because in the evening, the wildlife has a tendency to congregate at the front of the house, and we have been known to feed the deer by hand in the early evening while enjoying a glass of wine with friends.
Downstairs are 3 bedrooms. Two of our bedrooms have king beds, and the other bedroom has 2 twin beds. Each bedroom has beautiful doors opening to a covered deck with those Spectacular Sierra Blanca Views! Each bedroom has its own flat screen television and DVR. We offer Cable television in each room. The twin bedroom has a desk, so if you need to work, there is a place to set up your laptop.
We also provide our guests with free WIFI. You can keep up with all of your emails easily from anywhere in the house or on the decks! All of our beds have Peacock Alley Bedding, and down comforters. Our sheets are all 100% Cotton, very soft, and we offer choices of down or foam pillows on each bed.
There are 2 full baths downstairs with black granite countertops, Kohler tubs, toilets and sinks. The flooring and the backsplash in each tub/shower area is a beautiful stone tile. Ladies, there are more than enough washcloths provided for your stay, and the towels are also Peacock Alley.

The view at this property is INSANE. Pictures do not do it justice at all. The back deck on both levels is so huge and you can just sit there with your coffee and enjoy the view. It is so cozy and welcoming. We loved the fireplace. The host, Melinda, was so helpful if we had any questions. This cabin is a 5 minute drive to Midtown where there is a lot of shopping & restaurants. Fantastic location. We saw so many elk, deer, & wild horses. Truly beautiful and we will definitely be back. Melinda truly put so much thought into what the house was stocked with. Has everything you need to cook. My wife and I will definitely be back!

The hostess, Melinda, was very communicative and helped with everything from directions, to restaurants, and what to do while visiting the area. The place is exactly as described, very clean, all the basics supplied—plus a few nice extras, an incredible view, + comfortable beds. We enjoyed every evening out on the deck which looks out on to a beautiful mountain scape—with wonderfully starry skies. The four of us (2 couples) recommend this home if you are looking for a private mountain getaway near to a cute town with casual restaurants and shopping.

We had a great stay at this property. The home is very nice and just very comfortable, and the view cannot be beat! My first thought when I saw the listing was that they had included a stock photo of Sierra Blanca peak. But no - that is the view you can see from the couch, or the dining room table, or your bed! We enjoyed using the grill and the kitchen had all the utensils I needed. Coffee is a must for us, and we prefer drip coffee to the Keurig style. So we really enjoyed the drip coffee maker. If you are a Keurig person, you might want to bring your own machine. The owner was very nice, and very responsive. We would happily stay at this property again.

The home was just as described and the view was better than the photos. Our family has a fantastic time and Melinda is a gracious and very communicative host. From the beginning she was available for questions or providing information for us during our stay. The home was clean, beautiful and easy to access for our group. The fireplace was perfect for a relaxing day in and watching the snow outside the windows. We will definitely return.

This is a wonderful home with amazing views! Everything was perfect and we had a great experience. We so enjoyed the cooler temperatures and sat out on the beautiful patio together visiting. We will definitely be back to visit again soon!

This cabin is gorgeous. We have stayed in several cabins over the years and this one is by far the best! The beds are comfortable, and it seems like everything is remodeled with special attention to comfort and luxury. There was absolutely nothing missing that would have made it better, it was just perfect!
Melinda is very attentive and hospitable and when you see the cabin you know that she wants her guests to have a good time. It has two balconies, all the rooms have a sliding door to the bottom balcony to the most gorgeous view, and if you think the view can’t get better just go to the main floor where you can enjoy an even better view from anywhere and the balcony on the main floor is spectacular as well. This cabin is gorgeous. We have stayed in several cabins over the years and this one is by far the best! Stunning - deserves a sixth star
Wonderful rental cabin! The view is as good or better than the pictures. The location was perfect - close to everything, in a neighborhood, but secluded enough to enjoy nature. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner - and even included coffee filters! We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at this beautiful cabin.

OUTSTANDING LOCATION AND VIEW
Would highly recommend this property. Was equipped with everything we needed and then some. The only difficulty we had was with the main tv sound bar not being hooked up. The tv speakers were very distorted. There were tv’s downstairs that were great however. We were very comfortable staying here. It was our first experience with Vrbo and we were happy indeed.

What a great family vacation we had in Ruidoso. This home was perfect! Talk about views, this home has the best. Home owner is fabulous to work with. Home has everything you need to feel at home. We generally visit Ruidoso area 2-3 times a year. My wife’s biggest concern is cleanliness of a property and this one was the one she had no complaints about. Place was immaculate. Check in and check out was a breeze. Melinda checked in with us prior to arrival and during our stay and was more than helpful to making our stay pleasant. Mrs Duncan (I’m sorry I’m drawing a blank on her name) also called and gave me her home phone number in case we needed anything during our stay and can honestly say they are the most helpful managers I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Cabin was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. If I had to complain about anything is that we were only able to stay 3 nights as we had to come back home. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back.
