We love Cabana Fever. It’s a home that can be easily overlooked because it’s a single story home and it’s one of the oldest homes in the Seaside community. However, this home is packed with charm and comfort. It’s well appointed and updated throughout. We stayed here last year and came back this year and plan to do the same in the future. The home is perfect for our family. The location makes getting to beach, pool, shops, and restaurants very easy. You can easily walk or ride a bike to any of these places. The property manager is always present on arrival to make sure we are all tucked in. I love their welcome bags!

The cottage has a wonderful layout, is roomy and very charming. We loved being on the front porch! Homeowners Collection, as usual, is wonderful to work with! It should be noted that this cottage is as far away from town center as you get in Seaside. My only complaint has nothing to do with the cottage but with the beach pavillion one must use if staying here. I have vision issues and there are no real handrails to use to walk up and down several flights of stairs. I could only go to the beach if someone was there to help me. We will still return to Seaside a time or two every year but we won’t rent a cottage that has to use this walk over. However, it shouldn’t affect anyone with normal mobility.

This house was perfect for our family. We have two children ages 4 and 7 and they both walked easily to the pool, the beach, and to shops and restaurants from the house. The home itself was incredibly clean and comfortable. Cabana Fever is like its own little art gallery with paintings and unique decor. We will most likely reserve this home again when we return to Seaside. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. There is a guest house, Cabana Babe, that is a separate rental if you are needing more space than the 3 bedrooms. We will keep that in mind if we need additional space in the future.

Homey feel right off the beach - great location!
We loved this house! The creative, quirky decor was fun and it had everything we needed. A sweet reading place on the screen porch, great table for meals and games, clean bathrooms (great master shower), kitchen had all the tools we needed. Very comfy beds. We would have appreciated more/improved lighting in the main room as it was a bit dark with all the lights on in the evening. The bunk room was a bit tight for teenagers. No real storage space if you had 4 sleepers there. We had a family for 4 this time, though, and it was perfect. It was just a few minutes from the front door to the beach chairs. A quick bike ride to the food trucks but far enough from the square and 30A to still be quiet. Pool a 2 minute bike ride or easy walk. Perfect location. We left wanting to come back!

This house was such a pleasure to stay in. You can tell the owners have taken so much care and time decorating. Such a fun eclectic house! Everything was wonderful and comfortable. Location was perfect. Our only complaint was that we were given the wrong access code to the beach. We called and left a message with the property manager and never received a call back. We finally had to get the code from another vacationer who had the same issue. Overall, it was a wonderful place and we would stay there again.

Cabana Fever is a perfectly designed beach house located adjacent to the beach access.
The screened porch is a primary gathering spot where laughter and conversation can be heard and shared with all who pass by. We had up to ten people and all had a wonderful time.
But Cabin Fever has a few age and wear issues:
Floors were downright dirty upon arrival. Floor under bed in the master had about one-half inch thick layer of lent which had to be cleaned by us due to allergies.
Many fence boards fall off with the slightest touch, especially near garbage cans.
North side wooden walkway is rotten and treacherous at night.
Gas leak on south side near hot water heater vent.
Electrical socket in mater bedroom gives off sparks while overhead light flashes on and off.
Coffee pot for serving a crowd is missing. We had to buy a coffee pot for our crew.
Floor boards on porch have shrunk with age creating space for mosquitos and gnats to enter. We corrected the situation by spraying insecticide nightly under the porch.

Wonderful family trip in this fabulous, funky and fun house that is full of wit and warmth. Coffee on the porch and wine at the beach--steps to the pool and the waves! On the quiet side of Seaside and the HomeOwner's Collection folk are second to none!! We loved our yearly trip!
