Tolle Lage in der Altstadt, alles zu Fuß zu erreichen, wir hatten ein schönes großes Zimmer nach hinten hinaus, daher war es sehr ruhig

Die Betten sind wirklich sehr weich, geht aber wenn man sich daran gewöhnt hat

Ein in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel - von „Grand“ keine Spur

Lage zentral

Umfeld der Straße nicht so schön, viele Liefer-Shops. Rezeption unordentlich (Zettel, verstaubte Tastatur), Personal teilweise in ihren Äußerungen unqualifiziert. Toilettenspülung defekt. Haben jedoch für die letzte Nacht nicht mehr das Zimmer wechseln wollen. Die Toilettenbenutzung im freien Zimmer gegenüber war nicht möglich wegen des Housekeepings. Restaurant u Bar waren immer leer, was leider nicht zu einem Aufenthalt dort einlud.

Comfortable room in a great location

Great location for seeing Alkmaar old city. Walking distance to everything, nice staff and comfortable rooms.

It was quite noisy at night but that’s understandable given the central location (plus there was a carnival in town so maybe it’s not usually so noisy).

The staff were very helpful, and the location was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and welcoming.

Misleading room photo's

It was a very roomy room, the bed was comfortable.

The photos of the room we selected were misleading. Tgey showed two different rooms, both with a bathtub. Our room did not have a bath but a sauna. This was quite a disappointment. It was super noisy, in the morning there was a lot of sound from trucks unloading near the window. At night the churchbells seemed to ring every hour very close to our room (we had all windows closed, still it was very loud and woke us up multiple times). The sink near the shower had a really bad smell.

Nice, comfortable, and super-central hotel

Great location surrounded by amenities. The staff were helpful and friendly and gave us restaurant recommendations and let us store our bikes in their shed. The rooms were comfortable but there was some noise at night even though we were on the quieter side of the building. But that’s because the hotel was so central!

The breakfast was very expensive so we didn’t have it.

Rather hot in the room in summer. Dare not open the windows wide as bugs mat fly in.

It was central to town.

We got locked out of the hotel, was very hard to locate someone to get us back in. The lift broke down. We were upgraded foc and told quiet room but 7am woke up with outside noise which was pretty heavy. Sink didn't work in room. Was promised someone would contact us but heard nothing from them.

Disappointing

Location is perfect!

Cleanliness was poor! Hotel was understaffed and basic requests took forever. Checked in at 9pm and room still had not been serviced.

Right in the center of town. Walkable even for older people above 80 using walker. Just ask for room downstairs. Breakfast was good for around €12

lovely!!! would visit again.

beautiful, historical property which was well-kept and neat

my room had a very loud fan that I couldn’t switch off. fortunately I got used to the sound on the second night and all was fine. as the whole experience was absolutely lovely, I wasn’t bothered by it too much. as for breakfast: scrambled eggs could be improved (were rather dry) :).

Great location for meeting up with friends and socialising.

A mix of traditional and modern fittings and fixtures. Externally,a beautiful building.

In our room,beautiful high ceiling with lots of beams-didn’t like the beam that was in front of the main window.That beam was also close to the bed-care had to be taken getting out of bed to avoid accident. Bed could be moved further away from window.
