Centrales Hotel mit Abstrichen

Die Zimmer sind sehr sehr klein, wir hatten ein Fenster zum Atrium, sehr hellhörig! Unsere Räder konnten wir gut unterstellen!

Lage sehr gut, direkt in Alkmaar! Für ein oder zwei Nächte o.k. Frühstück sehr gut!

Πολύ καλή επιλογή αλλά όχι οι μεικτοί κοιτώνες.

Δεν έφαγα πρωινό γιατί δεν το συνηθίζω. Ο καφές και η μηλόπιτα τέλεια. Η τοποθεσία είναι υπέροχη.

Δεν ξαναμένω σε μεικτούς κοιτώνες. Το τρίτο βράδυ ήταν στο δωμάτιο ένας "παράξενος" άνδρας και αναγκάστηκα να κοιμηθώ αλλού. Όταν ξαναπήγα στο δωμάτιο έλειπαν προσωπικά μου αντικείμενα. Ευτυχώς την βαλίτσα μου την είχα κλειδωμένη στα ντουλάπια. Φυσικά δεν ξαναπήγα εκεί.

Bedankt weer! Niet duur, wel alles wat je nodig hebt.

Superfijne centrale plek. Van hier zo bij de Parcade om voor weinig geld je auto te kunnen parkeren. En dichtbij het theater Victorie. Hotel zit praktisch in het centrum.

Je weet het op deze locatie, maar je hebt binnen geen daglicht. Maar dat is niet erg als je komt om te slapen.

Kings Inn Alkmaar

Absolutelly beautifull and friendly place just few meters from the city center. You can enjoy great coffee, local beers or whatever. We have ordered a breakfast as well. It was freshly prepared and perfectly tasty. Great place to stay.

In the hostel it might be uncomfortable, that you can here noise from the room next door, as the rooms are not big and very close from each other.

If you need a cheap bed for one night, it's okay but don't expect too much.

Location is great and staff is very friendly. The price was great and obviously I didn't expect too much from a cheap bed in a 4-bed dormitory, however there were a few things that could definitely use improvement. I've seen much better hostels in a similar price range.

No windows in the room and no proper air conditioning which is pretty bad in a shared room with 4 people, especially in summer. Rooms are facing the communal area and are not sound proof, it is therefore very noisy at all times. Only one tiny bathroom which was constantly occupied (communal toilets were locked). Breakfast price is ridiculous but not mandatory, so that's okay.

Great hostel, friendly and very helpfull staff!

Room was pretty spacious in comparison with other hostels. Also the common area was awesome by look, but doe not had any electricity sockets :(

Nice hostel in the city centre with some curiosities

The staff were nice and helpful. Bathroom inside the room. Nice communal areas. Perfect location.

A bit strange to have people on long stay in the same room as travellers only staying a couple of nights. In the room where I was staying there was a guy who had been there for five weeks and he occupied almost half the room with his things. The beds are not very comfortable. The kitchen is very small and lacks almost everything (plates, cutlery, glasses). There are no lockers in the rooms. When I asked about it, I was offered to rent a locker in the reception. It wasn't until I said that I wasn't interested in paying extra, that they told me there were lockers I could use for free in the corridor of the night entrance.

must stay in Alkmaar - can’t wait to come again!

I absolutely loved it. Everything about my stay was enjoyable - my favourite place I stayed in the Netherlands! The location was so close to the center and just a stone’s away from the cheese market (the reason I went to Alkmaar), the room was private and super clean, and the staff was all friendliness and welcoming. I loved being able to sit in the middle of the hotel and get to know other guests as well!

No complaints - going to come again and recommend to friends.

Perfect for a couple's night !

The bed was really comfortable, the staff was nice and the location was perfect, Alkmaar is a really cute city !

When there were people in the corridor, we were hearing them but that's a detail for us :)

All basic facilities were good, rooms were neat and clean.

Staff were a bit rude during check-in. Nothing else to mention.

Disappointing

The room was ok.

Staff was quite unfriendly when we arrived and in the evening. The next morning they were really friendly. Each room door has a large opening for air to ventilate. Through this you can hear every door being closed in the entire building and people talking, making it quite noisy in the morning.

Location is great, not far away from central station ~15 min by foot. Breakfast and staff was nice.

The room is too dark. I was sleeping on the second floor of bunk bed, and I had a wooden holder above me. I cannot just get up, have to be careful to not hit myself.

Superb

Room was good, but without el kettle. Comfortable bad, good location.

In was winter. Was very cold in the room, only after 6 hours it was heated up to normal temperature. No kettler.

Good value for Alkmaar, good facilities, just be prepared for noise, light and lack of fresh air!

Clean large private room with excellent bathroom and bed. Games to use in the communal hallway. Nice staff. Great location.

The lack of windows means the ventilation is potentially very poor. It was ok for us as we stayed in December but I imagine it is not pleasant in summer. The layout of the rooms all around the communal area means any noise from talking/socialising in the communal area comes straight in. Aso the doors have a large strip of frosted glass down the side which lets a lot of light in from the hall all night. I read about this in another review and took paper and tape to block it as had a young child I needed to sleep, which worked well.

Nice hostel, good quality-price ratio. Very central position.

The small kitchen was not very functional, only a microwave oven, no dishes, no cutrery, no glasses... The hostel staff was available only during the working time (something like 8.00-19.00), during the rest of the time was difficoult to reach the staff (sometime there were no reponse at the emergency number).

in the middle of the city, bed was comfortable, bathroom clean, lots of restaurants nearby, parking 10 mins away, breakfast available downstairs at a cost
