Good location, friendly staff, however run down and in need of a renovation.

We had an initial issue with booking.com booking 2 rooms, one 3 days one 2 days which they managed to sort. We also had an issue with the room we booked which they also helped sorting though they still ended up charging us extra.

The pictures are very much not a reflection of what you get, the place is falling apart with mould, chips in the wall, a rusty hole in our bathtub. While the staff were helpful in giving us an upgrade when they took us to the higher level rooms even the floor they were on looked different. I even asked if this was where they took the room pictures and they did confirm. I also noted other people complain about the same issue.

We would recommend the Pacific Hotel

Location was great. 5 minute walk to the Waterfront and Lagoon. Catamaran and boats for Green Island and reef adventures were also only a few minutes walk. So many restaurants and Rusty’s day markets and night markets all in easy walking distance. …

We stayed in the executive king suite. The size of the room and bathroom was great. Good size wardrobes and big open shower. The only thing we found difficult was the type of unusual shaped two chairs. As a couple in their 70’s it was so hard to sit on and get off these cane chairs.

Great location and value

We had a hard time choosing from several hotels near the Esplanade and we were so glad that we decided to stay at Pacific Hotel Cairns. It’s prime location is walking distance to various spot like the Esplanade, Marlin Marina (for island and diving tours), Cairns Central and many in between. We were warmly greeted by the hotel staffs who are all so attentive and friendly and checking in was flawless. Our choice of stay was in Superior King Balcony Suite which was situated in the higher floors overlooking the Esplanade/Marlin Marina was perfect. Room was clean and and super spacious with amenities perfect for our 4 nights stay and bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed hanging out at the balcony in the morning and be greeted with the soothing sound of morning birds. We highly recommend staying at Pacific Hotel Cairns for its great value and location, making it perfect for your next Cairns adventure!

I loved it. Would stay there again.

Location was perfect. The room was very nice. Staff were very friendly. The room was clean. Breakfast was tasty and served at a good time. The View out the window was very nice.

I couldn't connect to the wi-fi on my laptop. Had to exclusively use my phone.

Superhotel in Cairns

Perfekte Lage in Cairns. Zimmer in der 9. Etage mit Eckbalkon mit fantastischer Aussicht. Zimmer sehr gross, perfekt ausgestattet. Sehr bequemes und grosses Bett. Parking mit moderaten Preisen. Danke für das Upgrade für das Eckzimmer. Startpunkt der Bootsausflüge in Gehdistanz. Unzählige Restaurants in der Nähe.

A comfortable stay in an exceptionally clean room that had the feeling of care and thought attached to it.

Staff were helpful, prompt and efficient. They were attentive and good humoured. Our room was comfortable, extremely clean and the view of the city and sea was beautiful.

The reception staff needed help with the number and frequency of arrivals. They were doing their absolute best to move everyone as quickly as possible but the queue to the desk snaked through the foyer.

Comfortable room in a great location to enjoy all Cairns has to offer

The room was very comfortable and the view from the balcony was lovely. The location is perfect for boat trips from the marina and it is very close to the shops and the Esplanade.

I would have liked a few more amenities such as a couple of plates and wine glasses. It can be quite noisy at night because there is a nightclub nearby that played loud music until 2am.

Comfortable hotel in an excellent location

Breakfast was exceptional value for money. Location was easy for walking the city, esplanade & transfers to Fitzroy Island. Staff are lovely and friendly. View from Deluxe King Balcony Room is amazing. Spacious room and comfy bed.

No room service available. There is a little traffic noise, but this comes with the central location.

If you are looking to stay in good location with a good view but can ignore housekeeping and general facilities then it’

Location is really good. Just a short walk to esplanade and 2 min walk to marlin marina. View from my view was also splendid.

Housekeeping is once is 3 days. This is worst because by 3 days room becomes so dirty. There was no exhaust in the room. So when I switched off the AC entire room was filled with mist and all surfaces were wet. Even basic facilities like shower cap,dental kit,vanity kit, moisturiser are not provided. I requested them to arrange a dental kit as I always get it in all stays but they asked me to buy it. They stopped procuring it altogether. This is so lame as they are taking so much money but can’t even provide basic facilities.

Disappointing

Good location and staff.

We booked an executive room which was the best on we could find advertised as well as the most expensive. The bathroom was small and outdated with a very small shower over a tiny bath. We didn't have a sea view as advertised it was only of the inlet.

Overall we would stay there again due to its location and friendly staff.

The rooms were a little tired, but location was perfect, we asked for a pod coffee machine and a very lovely staff member brought one to us. The pool was an added bonus due to the heat.

The rooms were a little tired and the sliding door could bearly open on to the deck without force. There were giant ants crawling all over the deck.

I was asked to complete an online check-in which took half an hour because uploading an image failed the first two times, then to add to the frustration when I arrived, I was asked to complete a paper check-in form again!

very central , rooms were clean and welcoming, staff were exceptional and friendly. and breakfast was really nice. don't forget to check out bushfire on the ground floor for dinner !

the bed was quite hard and pillows were a little flat and there no extra's in the cupboard to assist with that request

It was amazing. We had an absolute blast and definetley will be back, we have some great memories.

Staff was amazing breakfast was perfect the rooms where nice and clean, view is amazing it’s am very close to all the shops and everything is walking distance

Odour in every room, also in common areas Extremely dated - odd furniture (pool chairs in the room), Knicks on all walls, dented and dirty Harsh light in bathrooms
