Good

It’s in the middle of Queenstown so the location is perfect. The kitchen is good but a little bit crowded sometimes.

A little bit too big, and people have already their own group of friends so as a solo traveler it’s hard to make friends. I’d rather go to the adventure one

Excellent convenient stay.

The room was spacious and modern with a big bathroom. I had a view of the gondolas from my patio. The room was serviced daily, if I needed it. Good price compared to hotels, who aren't much fancier than Nomads. There's a elevator & stairs ,with a fireplace & sofas n the foyer. Super close to everything. Even the gondolas only took 15mins to walk to. Very nice staff who helped me with my Goku key system app. ( very cool, no key to carry around). Ice already booked another stay)

The dorm area was less tidy or spacious .but not my prob as I was on 3rd floor

Convenient location but not the best overall experience

Really convenient location, facilities were fine and bunk bed comfortable.

No plug sockets anywhere near one set of bunk beds in the four-person room, or the top of the other bunk, really inconvenient for overnight charging and setting alarms. No secure storage in the rooms, and no shelves or hanging space for clothes. Kitchen facilities not big enough for the number of people staying in the hostel, hard to find space to cook and wasn’t too clean, and the laundry had several out of service machines.

Convenient and central but very loud and surrounded by bars.

It was in a central location and very convenient for getting around. The building and rooms were fairly nice and there were extra bathrooms in the hall with showers so we didn’t have to fight for them on days when we were all going out at the same time in the morning.

I stayed in the girls only dorms (wahine) and paid extra for it, however all the girls dorms were located right above 3 bars so it was so loud at night the room would shake with the bass from the music. This goes on until 4:00am. I don’t understand why we needed to pay more for safety and be rewarded with horrible sleep. If you are in Queenstown for hiking it’s best not to stay here. I also found some of the staff members to be very ambivalent when there were any issues as well.

Definitely worth the price, be careful with parking

The location was outstanding, and the staff were super helpful.

There was a dirty towel left in our bathroom, and we were woken up in the morning by some very loud visitors in the hallway. The walls are a bit thin. The price for parking near the hostel is insane.

Great location and stay

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, lovely rooms, good amenities and the absolute best location

More plug sockets would be nice, and other places to sit other than the lounge - it’s hard to talk to people from home when it’s so loud, so resulted in sitting in the hallway. Also wish the kitchen was open later.

Super nah in der Innenstadt

Wir waren in einem Schlafsaal mit 6 Betten. Leider hatten wir das pech,das einer da geschlafen hat der total viel geschnarcht hat. Das Personal war total lieb und hat uns Oropax gegeben.

Es gab zu wenig Gemeinschafträume bzw sitzenden da es einfach zu viele Betten sind.

Excellent value in central apartment

Wasn’t sure what to expect. Apartment was really good. Comfy bed, really good shower, plus tea and coffee. Balcony with super views was a bonus, as was facility to leave large suitcase whilst we were away for one night after our stay.

Good location but wouldn't recommend it in winter

Good location, in the centre of town

I wouldn't recommend staying here in winter if you're staying in a shared dorm, because not everyone will agree to the increasing the temperature of the bedroom :/ It was freezing but some roommates did not want the heater cranked up. Beds don't have curtains either, so there's little privacy in the room. Bed was not very comfortable.

TV channels only have 2. We cant totally shut the shower door, the floor is wet after every shower.

Dreadful. The worst two nights in any hotel, anywhere in the world. Do not stay here.

Nothing!

The room was at the back of the hotel, right above a night club that pounded noise out till 3.30 am, both nights we were there. Not the hotel's doing, but they have done nothing about it, in spite of getting complaint after complaint (we were told this by the receptionist). The law is on their side - there is a phone number to ring if noise disturbs people after 11 pm. All they have to do is check the rules and call the police. It was totally unacceptable.

It might be better as a hostel but not for hotel stay.

The location of this property is very good. I stayed in the double room of this hostel. The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff are also nice and helpful.

The design of washbasin is bad. The washbasin is too small by itself and shelf on top blocks everything. You would probably spill all the water outside.

Very basic, very ordinary. Wouldn't do it again, or recommend it to anyone.

The room was on the quiet side of the hotel.

No control over heat, no soap, shower tap that was dangerously difficult to get to, extractor fan that ran very loudly and couldn't be turned off.

Easy walk to any place in town. Good laundry area - clean and convenient. Nice fireplace at the lobby.

Toilet in the room - although seems convenient, it's actually more trouble as we need to wait for others who use the toilet. Shared toilets do not have this problem. Kitchen closes (literally with grill door)at 10 pm, so we are unable to refill water later than that.

Good location, cheap option for QT but would stay elsewhere if possible.

Great location.

Kitchen seemed to be permanently filthy - possibly due to the size of the hostel as it seemed to house a lot of young people. Worse were the bathrooms - the showers don’t drain so the entire washroom would be under a couple of cm’s water in the morning and evening when people were showering.

Perfect stay and great way to meet people

The location was perfect, the rooms and facilities were really clean with hot water for showers. I found as a solo traveller it was a great way to meet people instead of other hostels where I was in a pod. Louisa on reception was absolutely wonderful and made me feel very welcome- she needs protecting at all costs ☺️

The beds didn’t always have access to charging ports like other hostels do with your own individual pod. But there’s pro’s and cons of this (see above)
