Good for a few nights in Almaty

Location is pretty good, 10 minutes walking from a subway station. Room is simple but with good furnitures and perfect for someone who want a bed and a place to rest between visits. The kitchen have a big refrigerator and you can cook easily.

Not all the staff speak English, I called them for help finding the place and the lady basically answered me in Russian with "I don't speak English", well.. I don't speak russian so talking to me in Russian is useless, even to tell me that you don't speak English, and so fast like I was a native speaker. She was nice after but I thought was a great start! Also the noise. The isolation is bad, I could hear everything in the entrance and the corridor (and my room was the last one, so as far as possible from the entrance lobby) and when the guest in the room next to mine walked in their room, it was like they were in mine! First night I woke up because I thought someone was in my room! Also the night staff watching TV loudly and being on his phone having a call with speakers on until 23h and more! I had to go out of my room and scream at him to shut up, that it was past 23h and people wanted to sleep (I had to wake up at 4:30 in the morning!)and he just looked at me all surprised , can't believe I had to tell him about good manners like not making noisy calls after 22h.

My room - it more looks like hotel than hostel space indeed) thanks guys!

Staff was very friendly and hуlpful. And to be honest I did not expect so large room with separete toilet & shower at all! My room was No 8. As I understand there are two such a rooms in this Hostel. May be I misunderstood, so better to check before confirmation. Air condition! there were 39 degrees celcius outside these days, so they just saved me :) Thanks guys!

I cannot highlight any valuable inconvinience. More than an interesting place for such an interesting price in such an interesting part of Almaty.

The room is good, the location is acceptable

The room was clean and comfy enough. I just stayed 4 days and the room cleaned probably everyday.

Location. It's probably 10 minutes walking distance to metro station but the streets are very dark and deserted at night. I had to call taxi every night for returning to the hotel. It costs around 1000-1200 Tenge(2-4$). People say staffs aren't friendly but who cares, they weren't rude at the same time.

This is my second time in this hostel. For the first time I liked the room - quiet, with clean linen and comfortable beds. The second visit was extremely unsuccessful - I was placed in room number 1, which is located next to the reception. One of the workers in the reception is noticeably different from the rest - he constantly lies on the sofa in front of the door, in a shabby look. He also has a habit of talking loudly at night (on one occasion was at 00:30), and when the TV is on. In general, the staff is extremely unfriendly, practically did not see them greet or smile at the guests.

The room was spacious and warm and with balcony... Host were very accommodating... we left our luggage for few days ... and they have locker for it... and they agree to look after our medium size trolley bag. The location is just few minutes from restaurants and shops.

Nice hostel in Almaty.

Good location of the hostel. The furniture looks a little "tired", but everything works, so no complaints. The room was clean and quiet. It is possible to wash clothes (thanks for that separately). The staff was friendly. Garbage was removed every day. In general, we can recommend the hostel.

We recommend making the sign of the hostel from the main road, as it is not immediately clear where the hostel building is located.

Best hotel I stayed at in Almaty. Big room, comfortable bed, air conditioner worked wonderfully, no problems with hot water or internet, extremely clean. Nothing to criticize, this place was great. I was sad they were fully booked the other nights I was in Almaty.

Great value, big comfortable room

We had a really big room, almost like a small apartment. It had everything we needed - a fridge, kettle and mugs, a little balcony, even a sofa. You can do laundry for 500. WiFi was ok and the room was dark and quiet at night. We really enjoyed our stay and thought it was good value.

The staff were not very friendly. It would be nice to have some little chairs on the balcony to be able to sit outside. The TV was not placed somewhere you could watch it. It is a fair walk to the centre, but buses are easy and Uber (or equivalent) is cheap.

We like it

-Even is the owner/staff doesn't speak English, with google translate we communicate easy, friendly. -Clean, good kitchen, fridge, etc en common room. Everybody here follow the rules...after cooking, direct cleaning which is good for everybody. Same r le for shared bathroom. -Hot water, good wifi. Possible early check-in. We've booked for 1 night, at the end we stay 3 nights and if we come back to Almaty, we'll stay here again. -Quiet neighbourhood, not far there is supermarket. -Spacious room, air-con, own table and two chair, good bed.and soft pillows.

Location a bit far from city center. The nearest metro/bus stop to the city/sightseeings between 1.3-2.5 km, but for the price-quality and welcome feeling we don't mind a lot.
