Pathetic

Quiet and big room

think they rent room Hourly basis ! Not suitable for family . Also stuffs are very uncooperative. They didn’t provide bill after check out . Also worst breakfast ever

Great location in a lovely neighborhood. I could walk to restaurants. Nice staff, great breakfast, clean and comfortable. Great price. Quiet neighborhood.

Fantastic small hotel in great location.

Great location in quiet residential area with fabulous modernist interiors. Very comfy bed, good air conditioning, great shower pressure and WiFi. Kind and helpful staff. To maximise the potential of this fabulous hotel a program of sympathetic renovation would now be of benefit.

Parce que j’ai changé de chambre et que les employés étaient très gentils…

Le personnel était très gentil et j’ai aimé le petit déjeuner malgré qu’il était simple. Le cadre de l’hôtel est joli et il se trouve dans un beau quartier calme et verdoyant. Beaucoup de potentiel mais beaucoup de travail pour réussir…Parce que j’ai changé de chambre et que les employés sont très gentils…

Odeur, papier peint qui tombe en lambeaux, mal insonorisé, les vitres des douches extrêmement sales….j’ai changé de chambre ce qui a aidé pour les odeurs et le bruit. La propreté reste très douteuse…

It was a pleasant stay and I will book the property on my next personal trip.

Poes Garden is a great location. Tranquil and Super Clean. Breakfast was basic Idli and Poori Bhaji but was good. Room was reasonably good. Don't expect it to be like a STAR hotel but it was comfortable

Breakfast need to start early say 7:30 am instead of 8:00. At least tea needs to be served at least by 7:00 am and if BF can't be ready can be served with some bread butter toast.

Manager sorted our problems

I booked this hotel as it was our wedding anniversary , so booked the room with a garden view . We arrived late and had a room with no windows and not what I had expected . This was sorted the next day by the manager who moved us to the correct room and gave us compensation for the mix up.

Couldnt have asked for a better place for what we needed on this long stay.

I grew up near this area and the zipcode is the poshest in Chennai - celebrities and business tycoons live here.... absolutely safe. Big time value for money since we looked for a good B&B; big hotels were in busy roads an all had a few negative reviews. Breakfast was the highlight of the day, especially if you like homestyle cooking. Staff is very, very attentive to all your needs. The owner, Mr. Palaniappan is a very pro-active person and wonderful. "A Home away from home for us"; we stayed five nights and then four more. Will definitely go back if the need arises again. They are also striving to improve.

The nicest place we stayed in Tamil Nadu.

The location is on a quiet street in a residential area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I certainly would stay here again (in fact, did so twice on this one trip).

No restaurants nearby. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8am.

Quiet stay in Chennai

It is in a beautiful quiet and wealthy area of Chennai, so a real treat for some quiet streets and nice residential buildings. The breakfast was nice and everything was clean.

It’s not super central for things to do but close enough. Also not a lot of restaurants around as it is residential. Staff wasn’t terribly hospitable. If you are even 5 minutes late to breakfast they’ll turn you away. They want to charge you for water when it doesn’t seem a hard and fast rule. Also their price for laundry is extortionate. The rooms are run down but comfortable. In ours the wallpaper glue was shoddily done and had stains which for what you’re paying I guess you’d expect to not see.

The overall room and service...and located in a very quiet neighborhood

Ola drivers have trouble finding the location. Hence one must seek out "easy to locate" landmarks to insure Ola can pick up and drop off. However, this is more of an issue with Ola than the hotel

Fab Avenue 11

The location was fabulous...couldn't ask for a better one. Rooms were fine as we were out most of the day and came back very late for resting. Breakfast could be better as we felt it was pretty basic compared to restaurants and hence we only had breakfast here first morning and preferred to go out other days. Would go back there if an opportunity arises again just for the location...just 4 doors away from Rajini's house and what more can you ask for.

A welcoming hotel in a quiet, safe oasis in Chennai with excellent restaurants and transport options nearby.

Excellent location, quiet and safe to walk around. The property is well-maintained and staff were welcoming and attentive. Our room (a superior double) was spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning was quiet and the bathroom was reasonably clean. The shower worked as did all sockets in the room. Room service was available and seemed reasonably priced. We did not use this option, but breakfast was prepared every morning and was an assortment of Indian breakfast choices with the option of an omelette. Water and juice is available from the hotel for a small charge and there is room to sit outside. The staff were very welcoming and kind.

The bathroom (shower screen and tiles around sink) could have been cleaner. There was no view from our room, but there was a small shared seating area right outside we could use.
