Very disappointing.

Pub and the outside area lovely

On arrival we were given a room which we had to complain about because the bed was all marked did not look clean. We were offered another room which at first glance seemed okay then we realised the pillows and pillowcases were Mark and stained Chair really shower not clean properly, carpet stained and not hoovered under the bed The tea tray was all stained as well when you go on the website you get the impression that the rooms are bigger than they are. They shouldn’t be showing a kitchen and sofa when you’re booking a double or twin room gives you false information. I do not think it’s value for money which was a shame as the pub is lovely and food is excellent. Also the staff are very polite so overall it is just the bedrooms that let it down and all it would need is an update photos put on the website and maybe some of the Furniture and the carpets updated as well. Nobody likes to go into a room with stained chairs and stains all over bedding off putting we did take photographs to back up our comments such a shame as a Rooms could look stunning The pub is lovely and outside sitting area is lovely too plus it’s disappointing you cannot get breakfast on site, unusual when they’re offering you rooms to stay in, So you have to drive somewhere for breakfast, which is An inconvenience

Exceeded all expectations!

The whole atmosphere of the room and the pub/restaurant was fabulous. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant had a great ambience, great staff, and great food with a good selection at reasonable prices. There was also a Bible in the room, which meant a great deal to us, especially since our stay was over the Easter weekend. We met the owner by chance on the day that we were leaving, and he was very friendly and genuine, and you could tell that he was very proud of his business, which is reflected in the exceptional service and accommodation. Thank you to all!

Budget bed and breakfast facility.

Location to event I was attending. This gave me chance to freshen up well before attending. Plenty of space for car parking close to accommodation.

Not knowing before arriving that there was no breakfasts available on a Sunday. Having to find alterative local establishment to have breakfast.

It was a quiet room with parking outside. Clean bedding and toiletries provided, tea and coffee and milk too. Good shower.

There was no hairdryer, no toaster (it was advertised as having one). My single bed in the twin room was uncomfortable. The bedside table was rickety. The armchair had a wonky leg and the upholstery looked soiled. It all looked rather tired and in need of a refit.

they charges me on booking.com when I arrived they said to me the payment online will be returned I will have to pay there and then cash or on card. I payed for my night £81 cash then 2 days later the money also come out my bank I have further contacted them about the situation they said they will check the cameras and call me back with in a day I have called them every day since and the are no longer answering super bad customer service.

Good place to stay in Ashby

Nice clean and comfortable room.

Constant low-level noise in the room (query boiler or something like a transformer). Normally would not be an issue but I had forgotten my earplugs. I will make sure that I have them next time I stay

Disappointing for what we paid

The room was clean with a decent bathroom.

We paid £80 so we're expecting a much higher standard of room. There was no breakfast included. It was 0 degrees Celsius outside and no heating was on. Room was small, bed quite soft and thin walls so was noisy in the morning.

Disappointing, but at least it was cheap

The restaurant was excellent, the bathroom was good, it was clean. it was cheap

We did not sleep, the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows lumpy and the bedding had a smell of previous body odour. The room was small and there was only one hard chair, there was no option but to go to bed to watch TV

Great place, lovely location, fantastic staff and first rate food and drink

staff are superb, great food and drink, the carvery is first class! lovely room, plenty of space for work and really clean and tidy.

one thing, a soap tray in the shower please! keep seeing your soap and shower gel fall off the tiny shower water bar. that would make the room spot on!! 😀😀

no stairs. good layout everything you needed provided

on booking it stated continental breakfast provided. but wasn’t any even though it stated it on booking summary. we did get a breakfast that we had to pay for separately. the breakfast was excellent
