The location of this hotel was perfect! Within the main area of restaurants, cafes and shops, no need to use the car. The staff were very helpful and efficient. Didn't get a chance to use it but the spa pool looked lovely.
$50 extra per day for parking seemed a bit expensive. The bathroom was a bit dated.

Location was perfect, short walk to shops and restaurants. Comfortable rooms overlooking central garden. Nice bar area.
No coffee maker in our room. Sauna/spa room was closed.

Location
Paid through booking.com for a queen and king room
Received 2 x queens
Questioned it with staff and got told I paid for 2 queens this was not correct

The location and parking is excellent
This is our 3rd time with the Novotel so we were disappointed to find our “garden room” was located in an area which is desperately in need of refurbishment. We were charged for valet parking although we requested otherwise. The bathtub was narrow & dangerous with a plastic shower curtain (very 2 star!).

Breakfast catered for variety of people. Seeing and hearing tuis from balcony
Room is very dated, fridge is noisy. Room whilst on 4th floor, was by a bin area

Quick check in, friendly staff, great location
I would have given 10 stars if we had been given the parking spot that we reserved. Instead, we had to park on a nearby street after hours to get free parking (or pay $45/night at the nearby Wilson car park). Be prepared for this to happen if you need a car spot. I heard them telling multiple people the same thing.

The location was amazing and so handy to Queenstown. Cleanliness of the entire complex was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
The only thing we could fault is a lack of egg options for the breakfast menu.

Fantastic location for family, lakefront and next to town playground and main tourist district.
Great family friendly buffet for breakfast.

The location of the Novotel is simply unbeatable. Nestled right on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, the views are nothing short of breathtaking. Every morning, I woke up to stunning vistas of the mountains and the tranquil lake, which set the perfect tone for the day. Its proximity to the city center made it easy to explore local shops, restaurants, and attractions without needing a car.
I had a less than satisfactory experience with dry cleaning during my stay. I sent three pieces of my new waterproof clothing to be laundered, only to receive them back with a foul odor reminiscent of rotten milk. This was particularly frustrating, as these were brand new items that I had hoped to enjoy during my time in Queenstown. The timing couldn't have been worse, as I discovered the issue on my last day before departure, leaving me without the clothing I needed for my adventures.
While I appreciate that the hotel utilises to contact the third party company, I believe that more stringent quality control is necessary to prevent such issues from impacting guests' experiences. This incident was a significant drawback and did detract from an otherwise lovely stay.

Fantastic location
Very small room, dated and not very clean, bathroom was very old and basic. The room was extremely stuffy and not well ventilated at all. Had terrible sleeps.

Great location, comfortable beds, clean, good to have a door to walk out to waterfront
Price! Paid way more than other guests & looking online I paid about $350 more than I should have😢
Shower over bath, no space on vanity, had a Luke warm shower one day, lighting was terrible, very dark room with yellow lighting.
Service desk ordered a green taxi instead of a shuttle to airport that was twice the price😠

The location was fantastic! Super easy check in and accomodating staff. Wonderful experience.
Walls/doors weren’t very sound proof. Could hear the next room and those in the hallway very clearly.

The location close to town very handy for walking directly from the hotel to the shops.
The high standard of the dishes offered on the dinner menu. However the chef was outstanding on the night of Friday 29th March, and different on the night of Sunday 31st for the same dish. It was obvious about a change of chef in the kitchen.
Keep the chef who was on duty on Friday 29th March and we will be back in a jiffy.
The size of our room could have been a bit wider. We will make sure of the proper size next time we book.

ロケーションは抜群! 小さな町なのですべて歩いて行ける。ノボテルは
湖にも近く、目の前においしいFish and Chips のスタンドもあって便利。
また泊まりたい場所です。
Happy Hour

The staff were amazing, we had high hopes for our stay. The people working at the front desk were an absolute delight....unlike everything else.
I paid through the nose for a 'mountain view' in a 'luxurious room' on Booking.com that turned out to be a shabby, dirty and tiny run-down room on a busy road with shops opposite. I had previously been at the QT in Auckland, the room price wasn't much more expensive than Novotel. Drunk youths in the street were yelling at the top of their lungs, they woke us up numbers of times and stopped us sleeping. Then 3 huge tour buses full of a multitude of tourists began disembarking, clatter, loud voices ringing out in conversation, dragging and dropping suitcases..and the huge buses kept their engines running! I could smell the exhaust. The buses arriving and not turning their engines off started before 7am on a Sunday morning. They were still running at 9:00 am when we literally ran away. The noise of the massive buses idling, the tourists shouting, literally reverberated the windows in the room and made it impossible for us to sleep or rest. We were just above them. Opening the window or trying to use the 'balcony' was impossible the noise was deafening. I'm not kidding. The incessant noise was shocking and unbearable. My other issues were cleanliness, or rather, lack of it. The light switches were thick with oily dirt from thousands of fingers. The phone was filthy, with a stretched and twisted sticky cord. The phone was ancient. The bathroom was covered in a thin white dust that looked like a mixture of human skin and dried Jif. What was it??? It stuck to our skin and clothes. I had to wash everything when I got home to get rid of it. I tried to have a bath in a tiny tub that a small child would fit in. It was grubby, scratched worn out plastic, the plug was like something out of an old state house in the 1960's. We had to use a fork to pull it out. My skin was crawling by this stage. The bathroom fittings were alarmingly old, like pre-90's cringe plastic you see at the dump after renovations, worn and shabby.

Every staffs were kind and helpful.
The facilities were too old. Also, the hotel didn’t provide any ammenities(like complimentary water or slippers). I requested all 3 people rooms and they charged for extra money for it but the hotel even didn’t provide enough towels for 3 people each room. And one of room’s hair dryer was broken so cannot even used it. Lastly the bath tube looks filthy and even the water draines was really bad. It was the worst hotel I ever used until now.

Really disappointed in our stay here. Every time we asked for the car to be ready we had to wait an extra 15 minutes.
We walked over the same rubbish in the hall 3 days running.
Carpets are filthy
Never again thank you.

Locality staff cleanliness
We seemed to know about boiling the water before the restaurant. We requested some bottled water for my husbands CPAP machine and @ $8 each we thought that rather steep.

Location, view, the clean room, comfortable bed, the sparkling water.
The shower as you had to step into the bath and the water sprayed all over the floor.
No toilet brush. No roof on the balcony so I couldn’t go out there to see the view, while it was raining.
