Breakfast was nice each morning.. I also had one lovely evening meal.
Very friendly staff.
Pub is right on the Quay, lovey place to sit and ponder life.
Pleasant stroll into the town centre which is close enough if you want it, and faraway enough if you dont.
Freeview TV channels kept freezing or being lost. I take a laptop and don't really need or watch a TV in my room, but for the sake of a review, thought I would mention it.. Pubs unique location may make for poor reception.

Good location . Good food great staff

Very friendly staff, the room was all I needed for my short stay. I can't comment on breakfast as I had to leave very early, I did eat the evening before and the food was delicious and good value.
I can't think of anything, I had all I required for a short visit.

The location was great for starting the SWCW and very easy to find. As it was right on the waterfront too it as a nice view.
The rooms were a bit outdated and shabby, though the bed was very comfortable.
We did have an issue with the breakfast service. The party I was with (four in total) were down bang on 8:30 for breakfast and were served around 8:45. We didn’t receive food for almost an hour as there only seemed to be one waitress serving the entire room of guests.

Location,value for money
Room very basic, but fine for one night. Pointless having tv as unable to watch unless you stood in doorway

Food was excellent and good value
My mother-in-law stayed in room 1 which was awful. Rusting radiator black mould in shower and sagging bed.

Breakfast was great. All the staff were so friendly and professional. Considering how old the building is the inside was very well maintained and comfortable. Certainly stay here again if in the area (we live over 200 miles away in Lincolnshire.
All good.

The location was excellent on the end of the bay overlooking the sea. We stayed in room 8 with a balcony and seating. Rooms very spacious comfortable and clean with good facilities.
Service was slow in the bar and food orders during the day as only one person serving drinks, taking orders and serving meals. He did well though. Service was good for the evening meal we had. Food was ok.
Breakfast was good. I would consider staying there again. Very dog friendly which we always appreciate

room was nice. Didn't get a chance for breakfast as we headed out early to walk the south west coastal path. On our check
out day they made us a sandwich to go which was nice. The comforter was too warm, would of been nice to have other options like a light sheet.
all good

The bedroom was very comfortable and staff helpful and polite
Make sure that you give bedroom door keys and hotel door keys so you can get into the hotel

Very friendly team, nice and welcoming, very helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. If you're looking for a short break near the sea this is perfect for you.
I was travelling for work so lack of any kind of desk arrangement in the room was not ideal. Also, its a pub and I expected some noise but my room was directly over the door so it did keep me awake as guests came and went. If I was on holiday neither of these things would have bothered me at all. Its just maybe not the ideal venue for a business traveler.

Great room and friendly staff
Lady for breakfast was a bit over run but it went OK in the end

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely, well situated building with a historic feel.
6.0 / 10.0
Friendly and helpful staff and location to town.
Nothing was too much trouble for Milly, particularly, who was very pleasant to deal with.
Sam the new manager also very helpful when choosing our twin room.
No Orange juice at breakfast on last day -- lack of Marmalade for toast at both our breakfast mornings.
Position of dining tables for two only allowed a limited view (facing into the dining room or behind) Seating at table would be nicer if turned around in order that BOTH diners could have the same view within the dining room left or right.

Breakfast was disappointing, shower kept going hot or cold!

Evening meal was nice, staff excellent and friendly. Clean shower, hot water and a comfortable bed. Nice table in room to set my work laptop up. Breakfast was hot and fresh
Good experience but bear in mind it's above a pub. Cold January night it was great

Great location, staff fine, breakfast fine.
Sadly we stayed in one of the king size best rooms with the balcony.... And music was playing until 3am. This wasn't coming from the pub so I assume a member of staff was living in. A guest's TV or such would not have the bass this music had. Wasn't asked how stay was at checkout, or you would have had the chance to answer this privately.

Friendly efficient staff, nice breakfast, clean tidy room.
Great view from room
Blind over patio door needed fixing.

Loved the balcony overlooking the harbour. Enjoyed a coffee watching the sunrise each morning. The breakfast was great. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. The eggs benedict was even better.
Room was spacious and stylishly furnished. Bed comfy. Shower hot. Bonus points for hot chocolate and biscuits included with the kettle in the room (which was needed after a long motorbike ride down).
Enjoyed an evening meal here also. Food was to a high standard and not overly expensive. They had a good range of ales and ciders to choose from.

Friendly staff free parking nice location
Quirky but needed upgrading … and the TV was facing the door , no chairs and couldn’t really see the screen unless you were standing up in front of it. Bit pointless to be honest

Very friendly and helpful member of staff greeted me, showed me my room and served breakfast. The only member of staff I met. Location is excellent. Wi-Fi worked well. Bed was comfortable. Parking easy right next to the inn.
The room was basic and very cold. No heating on at all when I arrived, even though the radiator was turned up to the maximum. I ended up sleeping in my tracksuit bottoms, socks and fleece. Not the best way to get a good night's sleep. Though I didn't mention it, a blanket had been put on my bed for the second night. I was in Room 1, which must have been the furthest from the central heating/hot water boiler. It took ages to get hot water in the taps and shower. Breakfast was OK but the kitchen staff were late in on my second morning. I needed to get away quickly, but had to wait for them to cook the item they could do quickest. It tasted fine, but American-style pancakes and bacon was not my first choice. The whole place felt like it was running a minimal winter service.

Clean comfortable room with massive, comfortable bed.
Welcome on arrival very rushed, shower inadequate, door below our room slammed continuously throughout the evening as staff rushed back and forth, tiny tv screen, waited 45 for our breakfast, which was luke warm.

I love everything about The Old Ship Agound . Visit at least twice a year for the last 5 years

The room had a beautiful view. The inn is located at the end of a long street that ran along the waterfront. The location was nice and quiet at night. The staff (especially Ollie) were all friendly and courteous. We had the "Sunday Roast" for one dinner and the regular menu the next night. Both were excellent!
The only thing that we didn't like is that we had to leave to go to our next destination.

We ate dinner at the Old Ship. The fish and chips were excellent. A good choice for breakfast.
Found a pair of knickers in the bedside table. Too small so didn't fit!!!!
No problem really. The room was spotless otherwise.

Fantastic views.
Two chair balcony
The staff are really friendly knowledgeable and try hard to be helpful.
Excellent breakfast.
Large room very clean good quality linen, nice bathroom and bedroom well presented.
Excellent value.
Room 8 blinds only go 2 thirds of the way down leaving the outside led lights beam into the room and onto bed.
Can be noisy outside as there are no curtains to blank out the noise and light .
Only one bedside light with switch behind headboard.
Hotel entrance / exit not as welcoming compared to the well decorated rooms.
Little signage as where to go on arrival.

The most comfortable bed ever nice quiet room hot shower
Breakfast could of been a little bit bigger
