Great lodge only 6 miles from Etosha

The food and wine were excellent, the buffet style meals had lots of choice and obviously you could select just as much as you wanted. Second evening was a barbecue cooked over an open fire, which was great. Grounds very well kept and bed was comfortable. The location just outside Etosha and near the Trading Post was also convenient.

The only drawback, as with many lodges, is that wi-fi is only available in restaurant/reception and even then can be patchy. However other places inside Etosha were just the same or worse, so this is not really a problem.

Eine tolle Unterkunft mit großartigen Personal

Wir wurden sehr freundlich vom Personal mit einem Begrüssungsdrink empfangen. Da wir schon so zeitig ankamen, konnten wir eine Stunde vorher einchecken. Die Zimmer liegen inmitten einer sehr hübschen und aufwendigen Gartenanlage. Das Abendessen sowie das Frühstück waren hervorragend. Die Safari in die Etosha ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Die Toilette und Badezimmer im selben Raum sind gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber halb so schlimm. Der Pool braucht etwas mehr Pflege.

Schöne Unterkunft

Das Abendessen war super lecker, Frühstück ausreichend. Personal alle sehr freundlich. Ein Game Drive gemacht, der Gide hat uns tolle Fotos von Löwen, Geparden, Leoparden machen lassen, ein großes Lob

Im großen und ganzen sehr schöne Unterkunft, einziger Wermutstropfen, dass wir was auf dem Zimmer vergessen hatten, dieses erst einen Tag später bemerkt haben, aber angeblich nichts gefunden wurde, Schade!

Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis perfekt

Die Eldorado Lodge hat das netteste Personal, das wir während der ganzen Reise erlebt haben - total aufmerksam, richtig toll. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und auch der Garten ist wunderbar angelegt. Das Abendessen am zweiten Abend gab es nur vom Buffet, am ersten Tag kam die Vor- und die Nachspeise an den Tisch. Das Essen am ersten Abend war sehr lecker, am zweiten Tag nicht so überzeugend. Das Frühstück war außerordentlich lecker, das leckerste Frühstück während unserer Reise, englisches Frühstück, Kuchen, Käse, leckerer Obstsalat, genialer Erdbeer-Joghurt, Ei-Varianten wurden serviert. Die Lodge ist nur 7 km vom Anderson Gate entfernt, das ist perfekt.

Kein WLAN und auch keine mobilen Daten Empfang im Zimmer, nur an der Rezeption.

Hearty stay

The atmosphere here is truly special, it's simple and very sincere. The hosts truly care about you. The food is hearty and plentiful. Chalets very clean, spacious, comfy.

Exceptional

Everything is simply amazing. The rooms, the food, the staff. They are 15 minutes from the Andreseen Gate to enter Etosha so I recommend it staying there instead of the overpriced, worn off Okaukuejo lodge. They also have chitas, leopards and lions to check out on site! I highly recommend! I travelled two weeks across Africa and this was the best facility we stayed!! Thank you!

Little oasis with excellent food

We got a very warm welcome at Eldorado lodge. The staff is very friendly and really tries to give you the best stay possible. Definitely jump on the farm tour around the property to see some predators. Even though our stay itself was wonderful, the best thing about Eldorado is definitely the buffet style food!

Peacefully. Silence. Food was good and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Beds can be improved since they are not that comfortable. Generator makes too much noise when powered on and can affect your peacefulness. Internet is really slow (needs to be improved)

Wow, it‘s very beautiful. I stayed here just one night on my way into the Etosha parc, but i would definitely come again and stay more nights to join also the offered safari tours. The room was clean and quiet and the food very good. Very nice owners and very nice people working there! We had a perfect braai in the evening with chicken, springbock and great salads, pancakes,…, and icecream 🙂.

This was one of the best accommodation in Namibia. Staff was really nice. Dinner was delicious. Rooms were very nice, quiet and clean. We liked their zoo and young guy who accompanied us there. There were cheatas, lions, rhinos.

The dinner was always very goos, local food, fresh and more than suffcient. The room was quiet, clean and with AC. The location is close to the Anderson Gate, about 5 min drive. Just convient to have a closer look to the wild animals. If needed, Eldorado has its "own" park with wild animals including three of the big five (go explore by yourself). The staff was very friendly, allways. Gave support ASAP, when needed.

Not really anything what I would mention here. Hint: When do you like something not, say, they fix it. Do not complain here.

Very good value fore money.

Really nice place with "at home" feel. Enjoyed the dinners with the freshly grilled steaks (really really good steaks!), Nice and clean rooms, tastefully build little resort. The landscaping is like oasis in the middle of the desert. Our family truly enjoyed out short stay there. Very close to Etosha and their own safari is also really good!

Ideal location for Etosha, but much better quality than camps inside the Park

You felt part of the family, especially at meals. Staff were so good, nothing too much trouble.

Dinner time start wasn't flexible, but we realise all eating together is part of the experience
