Comfortable and relaxing.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Food excellent. Spacious room once accommodation changed. See below.

Although I telephoned in advance to ensure facilities were as requested, we were given an unsuitable room on arrival. Disappointing but quickly resolved by the staff on duty.

Pleasant.

The hotel is centrally situated in Bowness, perfect for shops, facilities and as a base for exploring the Lakes. Breakfasts were very good, waitresses were cheerful and efficient.

The building is a little shabby, and the welcome could have been more welcoming. This did not distract from our stay. No car parking, however there is a nearby municipal car park, a 3 day ticket is currently £19.80.

Great little central spot

Great location. The staff are friendly and helpful, and breakfast is always tasty. Drinks in the bar are a good price, with a discount for those who are staying there. We upgraded our room and the bed was so comfy that I didn't want to get up. Have stayed here before and would do again.

Nothing negative really! I did struggle to get hot water in the shower, but that's it. Some people might not like that there's no parking, but the staff will direct you to a nearby carpark. For us to park there for 24 hours cost £8, so no problem at all.

it could be a gorgeous property with a total refurbishment as the property is in a fantastic location

Excellent value, friendly staff, great night away.

Didnt get up for breakfast but had it previously here and was excellent valu, hot and tasty. Excellent location for bowness on windermere.

No car parking hotel downstairs smelled funky as you were walking in tired and run down stayed in worse but couldn't call it nice

We only stayed overnight and this hotel was ok for that. Most staff were helpful.

For the most part, the staff were very friendly.

Hotel was tired and check in was done out a closet!

Somewhere to sleep with brilliant location and very good breakfast

Was a bit old fashioned but the location is fabulous which made up for it

Could do with updating and the shower kept going on and off don’t think it had enough power. Location is fabulous though

Great location - just needs an upgrade

Location. Room was a good size. Has so much potential.

Uncomfortable bed and lumpy pillows. Limited breakfast options - some healthy options would be nice and some veggie options. Just needs some redecoration and new beds.

Perfect location for one night in the Lakes.

The breakfast was good and set us up for a good day's walking, but the best thing about the hotel is the perfect location, slap bang in the middle of Bowness. That made it an ideal place to stay for our one night in the Lake District.

I was informed that members would receive a 10% discount in the hotel bar but that was not forthcoming for me when I bought some drinks in the bar.

Staycation

The staff were lovely, the suite was great- very nice bathroom and comfy bed. The pub served a great variety of drinks offering 10% discount for guests, breakfast was great aswel! The location is great with a car park only 5 minutes walk away, costing £8.50 for 12 hours, very close to all the boat hire places and restaurants and bars

Staff were fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was very clean. Rooms comfortable.
