Comfortable accommodation, central location, a great place to stay if you're visiting The Lakes.

Heated towel rail in the spacious bathroom was great for drying the towels and warmed the room up just right. Everything was at hand in the apartment from a hairdryer to washing up liquid and so on. There's everything a family/couple could use if staying for a while such as a washing machine, cooking equipment and a dining table. It's basically a home from home. The location is great with everything on your doorstep such as restaurants, cafes, bars, gift shops and a couple of mini supermarkets. though it is still fairly peaceful, at night all we heard was occasional traffic passing by. The Lake is a 5 minute stroll down the road and there is a bus stop there . There's a regular service that runs through all the major spots such as Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick so you could park up your car for the duration of your stay and travel around easily. We parked ours behind the apartment in a free space.

Stairs are a little steep upon entering the property.

great stay to see the lakes and do hikes. location and apartment is excellent for a small group

The location was fantastic and was spacious. check in and out was super easy and great communication from the hosts.

it was clean but the sofa could do with a more deeper clean under the cushions.

Recommended!

The location is great. Closed to variety of shops. Coop, gift shops, restaurants, clothes shops. About 10 minutes walk to Lake Windermere.. The view from the room also is great, you can see part of the lake from the window. Parking is easy, except for the first time you have to read a lengthy descriptions on how to park your car, but after that it is easy to access the parking.

Double bed is a bit small for 2 persons.

***Amazing Apartment***

After going to Bowness for many weekend breaks, We always wondered what these apartments were like. From the outside, they don't look great. Wow, how wrong are we! Darcey's apartment is fantastic. It's so clean, beautifully decorated and in a fantastic location. It has a real home from home feel. It has everything you need for a weekend break or longer, The host keeps you informed of parking, key codes, etc. I would highly recommend. Oh, and you get parking too!

The apartment is right in the heart of Bowness with all amenities nearby. The property is home from home everything thought of by the owner to make your stay comfortable. Great communication with owner.

Modern,cosy n warm.Central for shops,Restaurants and pubs.But just nice to go back,and it was just like going home and chilling.We really enjoyed it very much and hopefully be back,very soon.

Our week in Bo'ness on Windermere

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the apartment and Bo'ness. It was a great location. The apartment was clean, well equipped, cosy and bigger than we thought it would be. Nicely decorated and modern. Gail and Steve were great hosts.

Not much... the noise from road wasn't too bad we thought. It can't be helped anyway.

Rude host, horrific check out experience.

I have never been spoken to so rudely by a host before in all the time I have been using Booking.com. The apartment itself was pleasant and we checked out as instructed, leaving the key in the lock box. We used the double bed cover for the sofa bed as one was not provided. The apartment was left in a great condition and we confirmed out departure with the host. Following departure, the host called to claim that the above cover was missing. She did not ask how our stay was and was incredibly rude. She insinuated that we had taken the cover and was aggressive in her manner. After we explained that we had used it as a cover for the sofa bed, she terminated the call. This has put a real dampener on our trip. Her behaviour and manner was incredibly rude and we will not be returning.
