About this house rental
This 1250 sq foot home is located in the highly desirable area of Lower Highland, LoHi, in Denver. It is just blocks from a pedestrian bridge that connects LoHi and Downtown Denver as well as I-25, I-70 and Speer Blvd. It is also within walking distance to Union Station which has been redeveloped into the Denver metro area transportation hub which included the A Train to Denver International Airport, DIA.
The home, which features original nearly floor to ceiling windows, is one of the oldest in the LoHi neighborhood dating back to at least 1887. Over the past twenty years the home has been renovated and updated so it includes all the modern conveniences.
Refinished hardwood floors throughout the house, 9ft ceilings, and original painted woodwork give the house a warm cozy farmhouse feel.
The well appointed kitchen includes all stainless appliances, eat-in space and original wainscoting and built-in corner cabinetry make this the location where everyone gathers. For larger groups or special occasions there is a large dining room which has accommodated as many as twenty diners for holidays.
The two bedrooms have just been renovated to the studs with new electrical wiring, cathedral ceilings including ceiling fans. Both bedrooms have new beds include one that is adjustable/massage bed. Although the house was built before closets were a must, dressers, shelves and hanging racks in both bedroom provide more than ample clothes storage even if staying a month or longer. There is also a large closet between second bedroom and bathroom, with two eight foot long clothes rods and lots of shelves as well as antique shoe rack, that I created when the bathroom was renovated recently.
If needed, the couch is available for an additional option for sleeping as well as a queen sized air mattress. Upon request, additional linens and pillows will be provided.
Heated tile floors in the newly renovated clean, white bathroom as well as the separate bathtub and large tiled shower make it easy to get ready for your day or freshening up after exploring Denver. New bathroom fixtures are coordinated with original features.
One of my favorite features of the house is the front porch with the inviting cushioned chairs and porch swing are great for hanging out and catching up with friends. The property also has a large flagstone patio with dining table & umbrella, gas grill and new hot tub for soaking.
The home includes a large laundry room with newer washer and dryer, mud room and one large closet. Even with the renovations that have occurred as much as possible we have left original details and character to give the house a warm cozy feel.
Although in the neighborhood, parking can be a challenge this property includes two + parking spaces in the rear, off the alley, Lyle Ct. Near the parking area there are trash, recycle and composting bins for your convenience.
Although I love animals I don't allow pets in the house. Additionally, smoking (whatever you choose to smoke) can be enjoyed on the patio.

Check in was at 4:00. We arrived at 5:00 to find the place was not ready and told to return in an hour or two. We were not contacted about the delay and were told I should have confirmed ETA though we had check in instructions with lock box. Air conditioner was not working so owner sent over a portable one that we were supposed to set up and could not. After that owner did a lot of communicating about the ac and the check in issues and worked to make things right, which was much appreciated. The location was perfect; we could walk to downtown and felt very safe. The house is very cute. I would stay here again. I just think lack of communication from the start set the tone and owner should have let us know about the delay. He had no way of knowing we had been on the road 8 hours that day so when we arrived tired and hungry, I was less tolerant than I might have otherwise been.

This property is in one of the best locations in Denver. Walking distance to everything in the Highlands district and easy access to union station and DT Denver. The house has comfortable beds, was very clean and had everything you’d need. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond. I will/would definitely be staying here in the future.

There was a lot of spiders a lot of bees the hot tub was impossible to get into and full of bugs. The air conditioner s we're broken and blowing out hot air. It was a very uncomfortable place to stay. We also stayed during the hottest week so it was really warm in there

Location made it easy to get around (Rocky Natl Park, Golden, Garden of the Gods). The best was walking distance to Mile High for The Rolling Stones concert. And great walking distance for food. Little Man ice cream, Happy Camper restaurant and so many more. Mitch was great at providing instructions and quick responses! The place was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed and the orange towels were the best. My favorite spot was the front porch swing. Next visit to Denver, we would stay here again!

This is a lovely and surprisingly quiet little spot. My spouse and I enjoyed getting some much needed peace and quiet but we also enjoyed exploring the surrounding neighborhood. Plenty of places for dining and entertainment within a few blocks of the house.

We stayed here for our 5 year anniversary. I am an Avalanche fan and had never been to a Avalanche home game so we stayed for 5 nights and caught 2 games as well as our home town college team who played Saturday in Colorado Springs. Nice place would be great for a small family or close friends. Couple of easy sit down restaurants nearby as well as a liquor store. We would recommend Meow Wolf for the non sports fans. The aquarium, zoo, and museum of natural science were awesome and good for families. At the farmhouse the heated tiles in the bathroom and the hot tub were our favorite. Everything was clean and having laundry on site was very nice.

Came in the winter, we did have some snow which my daughter enjoyed The place is better than advertised and Mitch is easy to contact. He leaves his phone number and email for you at the home. Parking was a little wonky but he had a place behind the home that was easy to get to. The beds were so comfortable and the home is warm and inviting. Also loved the gas stove.

I believe the heat is on a timer so be mindful over night or before bed to check the thermostat.

Mitchell was very responsive and answered all of my questions quickly. The Highlands is a beautiful area and house is portrayed exactly as seen in pictures. We easily accessed downtown, the mountains and other areas as the house is minutes away from I-25 and I 70!
We will book the house when we come to town again.

This home is a perfect spot for a balance between adventure and leisure. We loved being able to drive to adventure destinations that were 30-90 minutes from the home with the ability to return to this cute house and walk to any number of amazing restaurants. This location can’t be beat and is perfectly situated in LoHi.
The owner was fabulous and responded promptly whenever I had a question. The house has everything you need, including a well-equipped kitchen. We had every intention of cooking there, but we’re so smitten with all of the amazing restaurants that we didn’t end up using it to its full potential. The decor and furniture in the rest of the house is comfortable and fits the home well.
The other extra special part of this rental is the parking spaces. We loved the ability to park easily as we came and went to our adventures. In this busy neighborhood, that is a blessing. Then we could walk to all of the local restaurants, the park, the river, and downtown.
We will definitely rent this home again when we return. Our experience was wonderful!
