Hiking to Fitz Roy is literally an 8th wonder & having an awesome host was such a bonus. Thank you 🙏.

Matias was very responsive both before and during our visit. He gave us valuable & timely information & even gave us a ride to the bus terminal at checkout time. He even offered us a discount, which we declined, as the water was off for the whole town until 1:45am. I liked the ‘more than ample’ wooden storage unit / space in the bedroom. Matias also has a locked stored box for pre and post check-in / check-out situations.

The fact that we didn’t have any water after our Fitz Roy hike until 1:45am! I guess the whole town is expensive but paying U$340 for 2 nights + an additional U$80 for my son to sleep on a sofa bed is really pushing the boundaries - especially for Canadians who are already loosing 37% in the conversion to U$!

Very helpful staff - provided good advice on the hiking trails. Great location - hiking gear shop for hire directly opposite and just off the main street so very quiet. Large space with well equipped kitchen and very warm.

Shower was a bit leaky but not an issue.

We can only recommend Nikeu Aparts as the place to stay at when in El Chaltén. Excellent location next to the main street, great amenities in the apartment and an absolute privacy.

Great stay and great value for money.

Absolutely wonderful little place with super great hosts and everything we needed to have a great stay.

Although it wasn’t a huge problem, we feel there could be more hooks for hanging up jackets and clothing to dry over night

Cosy flat, well equipped kitchen, helpful hosts, clean surroundings, highly recommended.

Entrance door is not tight and lets cold air in.

Very good

Alejandra and Luciano were great hosts who made the communication via WhatsApp very easy and smooth. The cabin is located great, everything (supermarket, restaurants, trail heads) is in walking distance and the cabin itself provides you with everything you need for providing for yourself.

In town accommodations close to everything.

Location was ideal. Easy walk to everything, including hikes. Nice to have an apartment vs just a small hotel room. Laundry available two blocks away and very reasonable. Lots of shelving in bedroom. Hosts were very helpful with maps and recommendations.

Bathroom was extremely small and had an missing door blocking entrance. Door should be removed, switched to outswing or changed to curtain. Showerhead should be replaced. Hot water enough for 2 quick showers or space showers one hour apart. Would have appreciated more shelving outside bathroom for toiletries. Store across street stays open into morning hours and seems to be a hangout on the weekend we were there. We stayed Wednesday through Sunday and did not hear much noise on Wednesday or Thursday nights. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence. Hosts agreed to talk to store owner on our behalf.

Good

Alessandra and Luciano the hosts (not owners) were wonderful. They were very helpful and attentive, and gave us lots of tips about restaurants, shops and the walks. They were great.

It’s quite small - really it’s a big cabin divided into two small appartments. The wall is very thin and you can hear next door. Very expensive for what it is, despite it being high season. Functional, but could easily be a lot more cosy!
