3/2 home. Sleeps 14. Master: King. 2nd bedroom: Queen and a Twin over Full bunk. 3rd bedroom: Full and a Twin over Full bunk. Living room: Futon. 2 Dogs Allowed under 40 pounds. $25 per night, per dog. MUST BE 25 TO RENT. Renter's ID and Credit Card must be presented at check in or via email.
The Wagon Wheel Cabin overlooks the Guadalupe River on approximately 2 acres, with many pecan trees that provide plenty of shade in the summertime. We have ample parking. There is 145 feet of riverfront, with a deck, and cement walkway for river access. Great fishing from the deck, launching your tubes for a great ride on the Guadalupe, or just relaxing as you watch the ducks and tubers go by. There are 3 houses on this property that share the river access. Right next door to the Wagon Wheel is the Texas Star a 3/2 that sleeps 14 and has river views. There is the Bluebonnet Cabin (does not have a river view) that sleeps 10. If you have a large party, please inquire about the other 2 houses.
This home has everything you will need to make it "your home away from home". Private covered patio with ample seating and an iron charcoal BBQ pit. Tubes and shuttle service 250 yds. up river. Firepit (bring your own wood) and corn hole onsite to use as well!
Home is fully furnished with a huge open kitchen/dining/living room which include many extra amenities A great place to gather and relax after a full day on the river!! The kitchen has everything! Fully equipped and then some including a Keurig 12 cup & K cup combo coffee maker. Owners have provided a child's highchair and Pac N Pay for convenience. Large dining room table seats 8 and there is a bench and 3 additional bar stools at the kitchen island/ breakfast bar. The living room has a sofa, a love seat with ottoman and a futon sleeps 2. This home has streaming TV and WiFi that was updated March of 2024 and is much stronger now! Cell Phone Service is very spotty in this area. No refunds/cancellations for outages.
The master bedroom at the end of the hall has a king bed, flat screen TV and private full bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and a twin over full bunk bed (sleeps 5). The 3rd bedroom has a full bed and a twin over full bunk bed (sleeps 5). There is a guest bathroom centrally located to the kitchen as well as the guest bedrooms. Washer and dryer are available for your convenience.

We really enjoyed our stay at the MooCow Cabin. All was as advertised. Communication with management was difficult due to automated responses and answering service. Never spoke to or heard from an actual person overseeing the property.

Check in process was great. Communication with host company was minimal. Layout of house worked for all of 14 of us including a 1 year old, 2 baths was much appreciated, we never ran out of hot water and there were plenty of bath towels for all. While the beds were comfortable, some of the bed pillows need replacing. Access to river was a plus. Kitchen is adequately stocked with all your cooking and tableware. The AC had a hiccup of some sort, thermostat was set at 74 & inside temp was 79, host was called and maintenance man was dispatched. Everything checked out and house eventually cooled down to 74. It might have been due to the 106 degree temp we had that day. Upon arrival we let the 1 ur old down to get around and when we picked him up his knees were filthy. May need to let the cleaning agency know the floors had not been mopped. Overall this getaway has all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable, we all sure enjoyed it.

This property was a very nice stay on the river. Clean and well maintained. Not luxurious, but just what the doctor ordered for a relaxing weekend. A good way up River Road, so not as convenient as we would have liked, but a great weekend no less.

We stayed at the Wagon Wheel. This is the second year we have stayed there. The house is beautiful and vey clean. It is close to a campground and tube outfitter. But also has great access to the river from the house itself.

We had a blast! Had some spotty weather but that did not slow us down. Tied off to the deck and watched the floaters while having our food and beverages only a swim back to the dock. Floated one day on a short trip and as soon as we got back to the house we were back tied off the dock! Made good friends from the other two houses and ended up hanging out with them the entire trip. So much fun! The house has everything you need and more for multiple people staying. Probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed. We had 9 guests and had plenty of room for all of us to chill. So close to the tube rental.Convenient, clean, and quiet. The owners were on the property a couple days cleaning up but they were no problem. Very awesome people the both of them went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable. I would stay here again 100%.

It was all 5 star except for the wading access to the water until the owner told us of access from Cliff View. It would have been nice to have wade access from the property but now we know about the Cliff View access. The only other issue I found was that I had to wash some pots and pot lids before use. Other than that I was very pleased and will visit again.

I will start by saying I have NEVER been to New Braunfels during the off season. I never had a reason to but October was the best time to go! The house was amazing and the yard down to the river was PERFECT! We planned to do a lot more but enjoyed staying at the house and watching our son run up and down the yard. Will definitely be planning another trip in the near future.
