The house is beautiful and in great condition and it is as close to the beach as it appears on photos. However, the listing states that they are not responsible for any construction in the area and there is a LOT of construction. Specifically, a large, tall house is being built directly next to this property on the ocean side. It blocks the view of the ocean about 80% and the workers are there every day, including Saturday and Sunday. They are close enough to converse with from the roof sun deck. It seems that in this area people are just trying to build bigger houses closer to the beach with no regard for existing homes. Super sad. I would not have booked this house at this cost had I known that we would have no beach view and no privacy. In addition, the community pool is tiny and was dirty until our last day. The kitchen is nice but the vent hood doesn’t work and the ice maker has visible mold growing inside. Also, make sure you buy everything because there is nothing supplied - garbage bags, toilet paper, dish soap, salt & pepper, etc.

Great vacation home
Great vacation home
Property was great! Some issues we had while there AC filters was completely plugged and house was not cooling properly. While there we had to report the dryer vent was plugged off, a AC unit went completely down. The shared pool was very small. The 30A group did a great job checking us in and taking care of issues that came up.

Great Property, but property manager needs to up its game
Great Property, but property manager needs to up its game
The property itself and the location was GREAT. It was clean, comfortable, and very well kept. Our family liked playing many of the board games on hand. Such a short walk to the beach, and we noticed that the beach near this property was less crowded than the beach further to the west. The property manager needs to improve its performance, however. Various issues we had in this respect: 1. Received an email that said it had the bike lock codes in it. But upon closer look there were no codes. The day we wanted to use the bikes, I had to make a call. Fortunately, to their credit, they got back to me within the hour and our biking was not delayed. 2. Received an email that said it contained "check in instructions". I saved that email for when we arrived at the property. However, that email did NOT tell me how to get inside the property, but said once we enter the property there would be a tablet device to check in on. This was confusing. We arrived at 9pm and did not have the necessary codes to enter. Unknown to me, because I had been driving 10 hours all day, they had sent me a text mid-day with the codes. I missed this because I was driving. But I wasn't looking for a text, because I already had the email and that's where I was looking. 3. It took about 15 minutes to get ahold of someone to get the codes to get inside the property. Upon talking with someone, they were very nice, and sent me an email with the codes. At that time I also found the text that had the codes. The code in the email and the code in the text were different however. Fortunately one of them worked, but why did they send me the wrong code in one of the messages? Also, there was no "tablet" inside once we entered, which we were supposed to check in on. It's like they had sent me instructions for a different property. 4. The beach access code for the private access gate they sent me didn't work. Fortunately we saw another family as we tried the gate, who told us that the code we had was last week's code, and gave us the code for the new week. 5. On the day of checkout, as I was driving back home, around mid-day I received a text welcoming me to the property, and giving me the door access codes. They messed up and sent me the codes that were meant for the new renters. 6. Received lots of promotional texts form 30A Escapes throughout our stay. I get that they are marketing themselves, but, hey - I'm on vacation. If I were the owner I'd look for a new mgr.
