Our stay was exceptional, with warm hospitality, charming accommodations and beautiful surroundings

Our stay at Quintal De Alem Do Ribeiro in Lousã was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the friendly hosts made us feel warmly welcomed and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. The location of the property was breathtaking, surrounded by cultivated land, trees, and the serene Ceira River. The rustic yet modern character of the charming house added to its unique appeal. Each thematic room was tastefully decorated with traditional furniture and artifacts, creating a cozy and authentic atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was the well-maintained outdoor pool, which provided a spacious and tranquil space to soak up the Portuguese sun and enjoy a refreshing swim.

The breakfast fell short of the overall excellence we experienced during our stay. The options and quality of the food were not as varied or satisfying as we had hoped. However, we acknowledge that individual preferences for breakfast can vary, and this aspect may not impact the overall experience for every guest.

Fantastic, clean with great service!

Wow!, we were surprised as the place is located in the village area, it was quite a big and nice room (2 floors). The design is made with the little things in mind. The area around is wide and with many types of trees and many plants and gorgeous blooms. Sorry I didn't know in advance otherwise I would have planned two more days of rest instead. Not far from a small town where you can eat or buy self-prepared food.

Fabulous accommodation and gardens - dog friendly!

Fabulous stay, spotlessly clean and spacious accommodation - beautiful gardens to relax in. Very friendly owners who are always willing to help. Good breakfast, We travelled with a dog who received a warm welcome too and who thoroughly enjoyed playing with owners dog Nemo in their fenced garden.

The accommodation is situated in a beautiful area of Portugal. There is free parking onsite.

Our room was freezing cold on arrival. We had to turn on the heater, and it took HOURS to warm the room. We were uncomfortably cold. I wouldn't return here in winter, unfortunately. Be aware that it is about 5km from Lousã centre, and taxis are not too easy to find. Better to have your own car.

Best place we have stayed during our Portuguese road trip. Recommend 100%

The setting is rural perfection with tranquility and taste combined. The house itself is a living museum with so many antiquities and family artefacts. Breakfast was a first class buffet with an excellent selection. Presentation was pretty and in keeping with the bygone days. So much home produce was lovely to see. The host and hostess were truly genuine and welcoming, informative and interested. Secure off road parking a bonus.

Nothing negative to say…. But a car is essential.

The house and the interior was authentic and the garden was beautiful, with lots of flowers, trees. The whole surrounding was so peaceful and we felt to be close to nature. The swimming pool was large enough and kept perfectly clean. At breakfast our favorite were the freshly squeezed fruit juices. The hosts were very friendly, we will always remember the days we spent here.

The hosts are very friendly and warm and make the guests feel welcome. It felt like staying with family, actually! The rooms are beautiful, the whole property is gorgeous and very clean. Breakfast is excellent! Every detail is very well thought through without being exagerated. Excellent place for a relaxing stay in a calm and welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely go back!
