This modern lodge rental consists of recently remodeled inside from top to bottom and boasts a prime outdoor entertaining space overlooking the entire Washington D.C. Metro Area. We have just installed a first floor walk out patio and doubled the size of our second-story deck. We are making available an outdoor fire pit and a spectacular yard with a private view equipped with al fresco dining, outdoor entertainment, and dog friendly environment. Step outside your door and drive just within 15 minutes to multiple Western Loudoun Wineries, Breweries, our favorite local dining experiences and eclectic shops. LIVING AREAS The Lodge at Bear Rock features a two-story open concept living and dining room equipped with comfortable luxury modern furniture and 80in SmartTV with all the streaming apps. The windows provide top to bottom natural light with incredible views. On the bottom level of the lodge we have transformed the space with a SmartTV, lounge area and a wet-bar for evening cocktails out on our new patio and deck with game tables. KITCHEN and DINING The well equipped retro modern kitchen includes sub-zero refrigerator/freezer and chef level appliances and large island for hors d'oeuvres and wine tastings. Dine or lounge next to a dual-sided wood burning fireplace at the six person table or our second eight person table. BEDROOMS and BATHS The lodge has a total of six bedrooms that sleep up to 12 guests. Four full bathrooms are each stocked with a complimentary supply of luxury towels, toiletries and bath amenities. The primary bedroom has a king bed, wood burning fireplace, and an ensuite bath with a modern walk-in shower and attached to a bedroom with a twin daybed and twin trundle. The second lodge bedroom is furnished with a king bed and attached to a fourth bedroom that has twin bunk beds. The second bath includes a soaking tub/shower full bathroom. On the main floor the bedroom has a king bed and across the hall from a full bath with a walk-in shower. In the newly remodeled basement floor, we have a sixth bedroom with a queen bed and an ADA compliant ensuite bath with walk-in shower. OUTDOOR AREAS Relax outside on our new trex deck that has overlooks views over the entire DC Metro Area, and below is equally sixed patio from our new walk out basement living area. We went to the Lodge at Bear Rock on Tuesday 1/9. The place is beautiful. At first, I felt it was no one’s fault, the place had been inundated with a 100 year storm and there was water in the basement that we needed to clean up, water was dripping down the fireplace in the master bed room on the second floor. But, as the rain had stopped and we were on a meditation retreat, I had requested we not be interrupted by a handyman. I had sent pictures of water bubbling outside which later turned out to be simply drainage from higher elevations. The handyman interrupted us twice. He was kind and trying to be responsive. The two large garbage cans were full to overflowing from prior renters and we noticed this on Wednesday and let them know. No one came. We had no place to put our garbage. Thursday we let them know again that it was still there and still no one come. By Friday, still no one came. The inside garbage (ours) couldn’t be brought outside. By Thursday night we had all decided to leave a day earlier and I respectfully requested a refund for us leaving a day earlier. The closing duties to be done by us required us to do the towels but no laundry soap is provided AND they charged us a linen fee! Even though we did it! Two loads that WE did with our laundry soap! They refused to give us a discount or refund for the last day. So for arriving late Tuesday and leaving early Friday (before 11) we were charged almost $4,000. I’m shocked and wish I had never rented from Loudoun Stay. They are always kind and respectful but I feel gouged and won’t be talked out of staying with VRBO next time. We initially found the place through VRBO and were told we could SAVE if we changed to Loudoun Stay. Don’t be fooled.

This modern-rustic cabin in the woods has been updated to be very comfortable for our group of 6. We went for the xmas holiday and had a wonderful time. The number of bedroom/bathroom were conflicting on the website. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking gear (no spices beyond salt/pepper so plan to bring everything that you will need). There is no icemaker but plenty of dish towels which was great. Everything worked well in the kitchen and house in general. The two sided fireplace was difficult to contain the smoke in so we didn’t use it as much as we would have liked. There was plenty of firewood on the property to use but it was mostly green wood that was hard to burn. I would bring some fire logs of your own for sake of ease.
The bathrooms are all renovated and comfortable. The main floor bathroom was tiny with one towel bar and one hook so not a lot of places to hang your towels etc. there is very limited counter space and no closets in the bedrooms which made our room very cramped with luggage etc. A few more hooks in the bed and bath would make it easier to use. The beds were comfortable and the linens were nice. One complaint was only two towels were provided in the bathrooms. 4 would have been great. The furnishings were comfortable and plenty of seating for all. I loved the two dining table options. There a handful of games provided as well. Internet and tv worked great.
It’s a lovely area to visit & we enjoyed the brewery down the street and vineyards.

We had a great time here for our very low-key bachelor/bachelorette weekend. The home was beautiful with great amenities and an amazing view. Despite feeling like you're glamping in the woods, the location is close to a ton of wineries, breweries, and loads of other things to do. The only slight hitch we had was the basement bedroom was not available to us. Fortunately and unfortunately, one of our guests ended up getting sick and was not able to come so we had enough places for folks to sleep so it was a non-issue but had he been able to join, it would have been a huge bummer to put him on a couch or air mattress. We did have folks sharing rooms so it still would've been nice to have the additional bedroom to spread folks out. Otherwise, it was a great stay and a beautiful house.

This is our second stay at Bear Rock and it doesn’t disappoint! The property is SO CLEAN, beds are comfortable, linens are plentiful, and the kitchen is stocked! Little bonus they have waters and flavored sparkling water to welcome you in the fridge. The location is close to breweries, wineries, and some great food choices! The view is exceptional, especially in the early mornings and at sunset (enjoy with a glass of wine out on the deck). The management team is superb, and really understands what customer service is! Book your stay today, you won’t be disappointed! Thanks and we’ll be back!

I recently visited the property for a long weekend with my husband. We really enjoyed the location, views were amazing! The home was kept clean and stocked with all the cooking needs. The only thing I’d say could be improved, which really doesn’t effect the 5 star rating because the property itself, is heating or cooling the property before the guests arrival. It wasn’t too bitter cold (40) when we arrived, luckily, because the temperature of the home was cooling at 62, which I assume was a mistake. Otherwise, everything was very warm and welcoming.

Easy booking and check in process. The house was clean and nicely decorated for the holidays (a wonderful surprise). The views from the back deck were outstanding, especially at sunrise.
Our large group was easily able to lounge in the main area and cook in the kitchen without bumping into each other. Rooms were great, as well as clean modern bathrooms.
Location was amazing. A short drive to hikes, breweries, and wineries.

I rented this amazing house for a long 40th birthday weekend with friends for my husband. The house itself was wonderful- tucked back from the road. A large eight-point buck greeted us upon our arrival. The house was well appointed and comfortable and close to great trails, Bear Chase Brewery, and even the spot my husband proposed - Bear’s Den. The beds were incredibly comfortable- would love to actually know what mattresses they used. Better than our mattress at home. We also worked with Pam, the concierge from Loudoun Stay, to coordinate a whisky/bourbon themed dinner and drinks on Saturday, complete with Private Chef and bartender. It was pretty incredible. My husband went up for a nap after a hike on the Appalachian Trail and came down to the incredible spells of Chef David and his wife cooking. Tyler, our bartender, was incredibly knowledgeable and served us up drink after drink in just a relaxed atmosphere. The morning views and sunrises were stunning - and we got to bring our pups. Bonus. It was an incredible weekend to remember in a really lovely home. Thank you so much!

We loved this beautiful house! Area is quiet with a large yard that is perfect for games and a nice deck with a stunning view - the house is clean and newly renovated, the primary bedroom bath was to die for :) the hosts were helpful and responsive too, we will definitely be back! one small thing is that that AC didn't cool the house down very well, but that could've been a glitch on our side.

Great Location for a Family Getaway

Out of town family for wedding
The property was immaculate, convenient, and comfortable. Family was able to relax and enjoy the beautiful views in between wedding activities. So much better than staying at a hotel! Our stay was cut short due to sudden illness of a family member back home, and the owner was extremely compassionate and helpful. Really appreciated the personal touch!

Such a beautiful place and a very comfortable house! The house and the kitchen were fully stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect for a remote retreat, but an easy drive to both Winchester and Leesburg. I'm sure the property will be even more beautiful when the landscaping is finished.

Incredible house for entertaining
Rented this house for a bridal shower and it was the perfect location. Pam from LoudonStay helped us arrange catering to the house as well as a van for us to go to and from a nearby vineyard. House was great for multiple guests as there are 3 bathrooms and 6 beds. House was stocked with everything you would need for a weekend trip and owners and LoudonStay were incredibly responsive and helpful. Would strongly suggest staying at this property!

Great Getaway that’s Close to Everything
Beautiful home, well maintained and secluded. Less than 2 hours from DC but feels much further. Close proximity to several of Loudon’s best wineries and breweries. The home is big enough for a family but cozy enough for a couples getaway. We will be back!

Our family of 9 stayed here for a reunion in December 2021. The house lived up to all our expectations which were already high based on the photos and reviews. The house is gorgeous, very clean, well furnished and tasteful. The open plan is well designed for groups. The kitchen is well stocked (serve and cook wear) and easy to cook in. Again very clean. The best feature of the house though is the view - off the deck you get a view of the valley back across horse country that is spectacular in every variation of weather. The sunrises are worth getting up for. We also liked that there were lots of hiking options nearby, a brewery down the road and an easy drive to the cute towns of Harper’s Ferry and Middleburg. Thank you for a lovely stay.
