homely experience

Good breakfast choices but terrible coffee, a strange thing considering the high-quality coffee production in the area. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated with all the necessary amenities.

Everything was great from start to finish. Great facilities and staff, nice complementary breakfast and the location was perfect. Made the reservation for my mom and aunt and they were more than satisfied with the place. Would definitely come back. Thank you!

Closed to almost everything in SCDLC.

Relaxed stay in a nice old house with very good location and attentive staff.

Our rate included dinner & breakfast; dinner was good quantity, good tasting and quite well presented. Breakfast was a standard American breakfast (from the menu) including eggs any style and brewed coffee. Location was excellent, only two blocks from the pedestrian boulevard that crosses the town's historic center. The hotel seems to be an old colonial house very well maintained and decorated. Room was ok, all you need, colonial style, wool blankets; no air conditioning & no heating; as some guests could resent this, we suggest checking the ambient temperature spread as we had around 32-34 C during the day and 11-13 C during late night and early morning. Nevertheless, during the day, the house is cool by design as typical of those old houses.

Rooms are no sound insulated at all. As they face the central house open patio (by the way nice and beautiful), you can hear most conversations in the area, specially by night.

I would stay here again

This is a pretty hotel and is very centrally located a couple of streets away from the main road with bars and restaurants. the family room was very comfortable and a lovely big bed that was hard to get out of! We enjoyed an evening using the jacuzzi bath in the bedroom too! Breakfast and dinner was included and these were very nice.

On our first night the room was noisy because it is situated directly above the restaurant where there was a private function. The hotel only allows you to select 2 people for the family room on Booking.com so they charged us extra when we arrived as 3 people.

Charming hotel. Rooms and public areas are all delightful, with very attractive decor. The location is very good, just a few blocks from many visitor attractions. There were some very good restaurants in the same street.

Great hotel, great staff, in particular for people travelling by motorbike.

Hotel is very beautiful, and the staff is as well. I travel by motorbike and was allowed to park my bike in the interior courtyard, which is a big deal for me.

Lovely hotel. Shame about the plastic sheet on the mattress.

Great location. Good sized room with antique furniture. Hot water. Blankets. Clean.

Plastic sheeting on bed. Awful to sleep on the sheets constantly slipped all around. Felt like a child. The rooms could be a bit noisy due to other guests. But although it was a lovely hotel overall I will not stay there again if the plastic sheets remain.

We booked the siute which was available for only one night. Room perfect, clean, big room, huge bed, bathtub and shower. Personal really helpful, spoke english. Location next to the center, so quiet but everything in walking distance. Great food just around the corner. Loved everything!

needs a serious update

the rooms are big and the location is central. breakfast is good and people in the restaurant are very nice.

it was a nice a hotel few years ago but it needs an update. the rooms full with mold and smells terrible. we also had a bad experience with the front desk. the travel agency that belongs to the hotel gave us a price for a taxi to the airport. when we came to book the night before they doubled the price. we found a much cheaper option in a nearby agency.
