We were staying for a wedding and one of us had to leave early while the other not till much later in the day. I had reached out asking if we could get late checkout, even just an additional hour would have helped. They were super kind and had arranged late check out for us with no problems. Super helpful and friendly staff
And lovely food. Only moan would be we only had a double bed rather then king-size (1st world problems I know)

Unfortunately our room was very cold on arrival as radiator’s turned off. On returning to our room after midnight heating was off! Had to sleep in clothes!!!

Decent food and nice bar area with excellent bar and hotel staff.
The problem was that we booked one of the executive rooms, which is in the front of the old house. Despite the fact that it was 21 degrees at the end of October, the heating was on full blast (and we are in an energy crisis) and the radiator would not switch off. The room was unbearable.
This is obviously a 'thing' at Pytchley Inn as we ate in the bar, which is much more characterful than the dining room, as a table by the wall unexpectedly became available. The reason is was suddenly available....the radiator next to the table was on full blast!
For the room, the staff very apologetic and understanding and moved us to the neighbouring exec room where the radiator could be turned off. It was better, but the overall heat in the building and the fact that the bed had a warming topper led to a very uncomfortable and still overly warm night.
Additionally, the replacement exec only had a large queen/ small king sized bed, whereas our previous room had a full king.
Whilst there was a single bed, the base was rock solid and it was like sleeping on a board.
The hotel staff were very understanding and did correct the rate.
As we left, we could see into the newer rooms, which seemed to be standard rooms and, by far, looked to be much more welcoming.

One night stay during a business trip. Very warm welcome from helpful friendly staff. Room (upgraded) was great, decent size, large bed, plenty of room and a bath & shower! Room seemed nice and clean and the addition of bottled water is a nice touch.
Dinner was good and reasonably priced. There was a delay, apparently caused by a wi-fi problem, but they kept me informed. Breakfast was also really nice and fresh.
Only complaint was the phone reception is poor and wi-fi was worse. Nothing they can do about the phone reception, but a better wi-fi service would help, especially for business users. Otherwise a nice hotel with good restaurant. Will certainly use again.

The staff is notably friendly and helpful and the Inn has a cozy country feel to it. For history buffs, it is close to the site of the Battle of Naseby during the English civil war, which essentially culminated in a Parliamentary victory (Oliver Cromwell) over the Royalist forces of Charles I. The countryside is quite lovely and conducive to some nice walks/hikes. Again, the Inn is a pleasant spot to relax, eat some good food on site, and enjoy a few drinks without having to drive anywhere, George and Karyl V. Phoenix, U.S.A.

Very friendly staff from the moment we walked in. Our young Waiter went out of his way to get us a candle for our table.
On the downside we only had one bath towel.
Would stay again.

We booked a number of rooms at the Pytchley for our daughters wedding party, the hotel could not have been more accommodating or helpful. The staff are all superb. Add to this a great value restaurant and you have an excellent combination.
Thank you to all at the Pytchley for looking after us.

The room was small but very well presented and equipped. The coffee facilities also included a bottle of water in addition to the usual tea coffee sugar etc. There was a fan in the room which I was very pleased with, and the room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good, ample choice of cereal etc and the cooked breakfast was very tasty. I was expecting to be closer to Northampton, but as it turns out it is only about 30 minutes away from the outskirts, so not too bad, but the listing on Hotels.com does not mention that this hotel is in the beautiful village of West Haddon, much closer to Crick and Rugby.Still worth the journey. An absolute gem of a hotel.

Stopping off here only for one night whilst hiking the Jurassic Way. Reception staff were really friendly, room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. Food in restaurant was good although disappointed that they had run out of a few things. Breakfast was good with a choice of cereal, yoghurt etc and then a choice of cooked. We are early risers so not an issue for us but the beer delivery was very noisy and right outside our room quite early. We would stay again
